Thank you for the pic, I honestly had no idea what the Big Track was. At first I was thinking of the O'Mega Supreme transformer... then I remembered that crazy name!

Very good chance it could be. Then again, a lot of people may have Macross toy treasures they've stumbled across or may have a special Macross toy that was their favorite growing up. I think it's kind of an amoebus topic but if someone wants to move it I wouldn't argue.

get an original low vis If that's not in the equation, then just get whichever you prefer. I would say the Strike Stealth likely will get hard to find at some point in the near future so if that tickles your fancy I wouldn't hesitate too long on it.

So I'm at my folks house right now. I keep my toy collection here 'cause they have a heck of a lot more room than I do and I'd hate to have my toys salt my game with the ladies. Anyway, I'm working on the computer and my father tells me to come down and check out this box he found while cleaning out an old storage bin. Turns out it's my three favorite toys from my childhood - So, that made me wonder, you guys ever have a similar experience? What was your favorite toys growing up? EDIT - I should mention that I actually owned two Jetfires. One I bought like the instant it was available and had the Macross symbol and everything. Unfortunately, I left it out a lot and before long it had no arms and was a deep yellow. Then a buddy of mine sold me his for like $5. Well, there it is in the box... but I can tell you, it also is missing its arms

I went VF-17 but I'd certainly be happy with any. -
Most Wanted Unproduced Macross Toy By Yamato

um, you're gonna have to try again on this poll. Each option needs to be its own line. EDIT - nevermind, you already realized this. -
Would You Buy A New Perfect Variable 1/60 Vf-1?
jenius replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Toys
With the exception of the Ben Dixon, and maybe the Miriya Sterling, the 1/60 Yamatos have been selling for less than the MPCs for quite some time now. The only 1/60s that catch any sort of price at all are the supers, strike, elint, ostr, and GBP+1J. -
I'm diggin' the deep chocolate brown on the chest and sleeves.

Okay, this too has probably been asked before, but wasn't there a reissue Max 1A not long after the first issue? Remember when Neova (or someone) dumped them all for $95 each? I thought that was because Yamato had flooded the market with a second release.
-
Can someone back this up? I seem to recall the destroids (except the MACII) were all just about exactly the same height as the battloid valks.

I'd go for it. It'd mean the value of the 1/60s we have would be turned to dust though (not that they have much anyway). Honestly though, the 1/60 VF-1s are so bad they almost make me angry so I'd love to see Yamato revisit them and improve them in every way. Then 1/60 would be the NEW scale for all Macross and we could get our Monster and destroids and everything else and leave 1/48 scale for the true "ultra collector's items" and their crazy prices. -
Graham, can you swing by Yamato and pick up the lime version prototype for me. I've been looking to score some one of a kind Macross items and that seems like a good one. I'm totally willing to pay full MSRP even if it is missing missles. How generous am i? Thanks!
-
Well, sounds like we'll still have a Shin release to look forward to in the future also...
-
With everything seemingly being 1/60 now that Yamato is producing, I say 1/60 all the way. It's not like these things transform so I don't think additional size would really reap much of a benefit. Besides, I'm running out of room FAST.

Call me crazy but I actually would like ot see the green Alaska base VF as a limited version. That doesn't necessarily mean I want it more than the others, but if one were going to be made limited then I think that's a good choice. It's kind of a draw with the Hayaos as I think limited is the only way that guy would ever see any production

Sometimes, when work is slow, I daydream about what new toys I would like Yamato to make. Now that Yamato has moved away from the VF-1 I was wondering what kind of VF-1 toys Yamato could make that'd keep me buying. So here it is, my first attempt at a poll -

Wow, now it looks perfect for the Cannonfodder! Sweet update. I still don't see why i'd put it on an LV though and completely lose the LV effect. Edit - Oooh, missiles are green with red tops too, that's a gratuitous little touch there.
-
This has probably been asked before but I'm feeling lazy, does the LV mark the appearance of the nosecone supports and less removeable wing flaps?

New Robotech Shadow Chronicles Vid
jenius replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I thought the message in MOSPEADA about people had more to do with the people that the group encountered. Some towns sold soldiers out to maintain peace, some fell into gang warfare, some went tribal, some just became utterly corrupt. I thought it was a "In the face of adversity, keep your bearings on what's right and wrong." -
Would a reasonable assumption be we'll see a whole line of Mac+ valks? Ooh, my naughty bits are tingling
-
So um, i can't read it, so someone give me a translation already!!!! Edit - in best homer voice "MMMmm candy toy"

If you could pee with enough water pressure to fill a water balloon you have some truly talent and there are people in a certain "industry" that I'm sure would love to talk to you.

I usually save the love-spouting for when I am thoroughly drunk. "You, what's your name? I think I work with you... I love you. You get me my faxes, you're the best.... I mean it." Anyway, SDCSC lives and dies by the body-snatcher element and that's why The Masters just plain dies. I agree with 1st Border though, Dante has some great sarcastic lines. Like Ginrai said though, Seifreit becoming Zor Prime was just awkward and the hints in Robotech really just play out like sections where it was impossible for them to kill the body-snatcher element all together. I remember one episode where Emerson has dialogue that goes like this: E: "How many are missing?" some guy: "hundreds Sir, they're presumed lost in space." E: (to himself) "Let's hope they really are lost." Okay, i just butchered that dialogue royally but hopefully you get the gyst. In Robotech you're just like "What the hell does that mean?" In the original you know that those missing soldiers are about to become undead Bioroid pilots. That's cool. As to the whole MOSPEADA thing, it is definitely episodic and the character development seems to be like a switch. First Rey is like "Screw you soldier boy, I wanna run with the wind and do what I want" then, pretty rapidly, he's like "I've developed a sense of responsibility but while I fight beside you I'm going to make sure you learn to lighten up." Most the development is pretty rapid like that. The only one who is really interesting emotionally is Jim/Lunk. Remember the episode where he beats Stig to a pulp 'cause he's freakin' out? However, I think Genesis Climber actually SAYS a lot more than SDCSC does. It speaks more to the human condition and how people cope (capped between an opening and closing fighting scene). SDCSC just tried to be a soap opera with a tinge of scifi horror to it. -
The Alpha is supposed to stand 8.75 meters tall according to RT.com. So, that'd be 875 centimeters tall. The MPC stands approximately 16.5 centimeters tall As I have said elsewhere, the proper scale in battloid is *about* 1/53. Neither Imai nor Toynami are right but since the scale is right between the two it works out fine. EDIT - the alpha requires anime magic to make the proportions it does for fighter mode so the scale there is just out of whack.
