  1. Thank you guys. At long last (evil laughing voice) mooaw hah hah! I've completed the last vehicle in the set!!! The bad thing about using a really close up lens, it shows every speck of dirt and flaw. It also blurs stuff outside the center of focus (which is only a couple of millimeters away!. So here it is. The rear metal handle rail will have to be glued on separately.

post-2518-1271716859_thumb.jpg And finally what the Imai 1/100 looks like next to my little baby. See what I mean about focus? Oh well. I'm done! I'll be ordering molding supplies in a week or two!- MT

Love that little wheel. Looks great.

Should you need it (and I'd almost say you don't) Matt @ Laserfire Creations has good prices on laser cut parts and specializes in tiny parts (he cut some 1/20 boot tread for me).

  2. Nice! That's the Bandai 1/100th, right?

Actually, maybe you can help me out a bit... I'm still stuck on what the chin scoop is supposed to do... Seems like it just floats there? Are there any intakes inside of the scoop that would actually get some air to the engines?

Mine doesn't really fit on my workbench... But it's coming along... Slowly.

    :o Holey crap dude....

  3. Correct - I should clarify I was thinking about Hasegawa's models of real airplanes. Only one I can think of off-hand is Tamiya's Fi-156 kit from a couple of years ago (yeah I know NOT Hasegawa)

Oh well, the vertical format makes it very dramatic and I wish more manu. would do it.

Ah....er...don't know..haven't been building regular aircraft for a few years (decade maybe)...

  4. Interesting that both of Hasegawa's 1/48 Macross kits have box-art that's in a vertical format. I can't think of another example from Hasegawa.

They've done a few of the 1/72 Valks in a vertical format.

  5. Having had one of the 1.0 versions (and having to sell it to pay bills & what) I'd love to see what a 2.0 would look like.

I know there were a number of things I was to to do to it: tread detail, better barrel, behind the spade area to follow line drawings closer, etc. I'd love to see what you'd come up with, but not sure if I'd be able to afford it any time soon.
