1. Lying is about the right term. In many, many pieces.
2. The Starship Modeler store may be carrying them.
3. You mean you paid for the kit in total, or for the down payment only? 332832 Because I'm carding it Henry said to just pre-order it. When you use your credit card to pre-order something it's considered a binding contract. Scary huh?
4. Ok, I'm in, done & paid for. Now I just gotta wait for it. frak
5. (wham!wham!wham!) I'd love'm. Don't know if I could afford them but if they're a year or so out that's not an issue.
6. "Tilters" is what you get when your up way too late and try to type "filters". Loverly.
7. HWR MKII wanted me to let everybody know that he made it to teh desert ok. For some reason the tilters won't let him log on here but will let him log onto Starship Modeler. All if well and he hopes to figure out the poblem and be able to join the ranks of MW yet again.

10. 1-0 has discovered than the more open the contest the more possible entries. And he's right. I've got 1 done and 3 to go. There is also a special PG Zaku contest happening within the Legs contest. All you have to do is enter a PG Zaku.
11. Cool. *sigh* one more toy, I mean tool, to add to the list.
12. So when are you going to be building a set of 1:35 Destroids? Come on Cobywan, I know you can do it. Use the force.
13. YESSS! Crusher Joe deserves more love. I am wrestling with a Fighter One model as a NURBS training project, and Harpy and Siren will be next. -i- 327103 I have been attempting to (and failing so far) to scratch a 1:48 Harpy for casting. So far I have figured out how not to do it. I may fall back on Joe Brown's sculpt and cover meathod.
14. I'll second the Hase kits. I've only build two but loved putting them together. Gamma Nora VF-0s
15. How about a 1:48 Siren or Harpy?
16. I'd raise my hand up and scream but I have no idea what I'd do with the bloody things. Anybody? Bueller?
17. So frakkin' cool. Sweet buttery tiger goodness....mmmmmm
18. Man that is wicked looking. Very menacing. Schaweet!
19. I'm about 80% done. The most painful process is sanding all those frellin' little ppwrlead link ring things. Well, besides the weeks of distressing plastic and adding wear & tear.
20. I'm a big fan of the salt masking technique. You could probably use it on Battle tech minis, you'd just need to be more careful applying it (say with a 5-0 brush). The carrier for the rust is somewhat achohol based, as it eats the paint a bit. Depending on when you apply it, it can eat off the paint. Doing multiple layers can give you the chipped and repainted look. Which is what I was looking for in this case.
21. Nice Phantom! Ok, rust technique. The secret to it is a product known as "Rustall". You'll find it any place that caters to train enthusiasts. Basically you paint the model flat black. Then use the salt technique (do I need to explain the salt masking technique?) to mask the edges and then paint with the original color. Brush the slat off and apply Rustall #1. you may want multiple coats. For added depth paint over with flat black and repeat process. It takes awhile to do the the result is frellin' astounding.
22. This is just sample. My "test" piece just to see if the technique works. Prepare for extreme closeup! I think it works pretty well.
