yeah, I guess I'm guilty of generalizing here.... pretty naive of me in retrospect. EDIT: I'm with mechwarrior on this one... I just wanted a fan racer and a VF-4. I got the fan racer, but not the VF-4 Maybe a Cats Eye will become available to lift my spirits once again.

ARRG... This whole situation is just really unfortunate... I ordered a couple items on the "Jesse Order," and one of them is with Jesse now... The other will not be produced, so I'm looking for the refund, but I'm not holding my breath. As I said in the "Order Thread," the guy is a jerk, plain and simple. I am completely for the boycott. And I have my own views on recasts, but I won't put them here since we were asked not to. I just hope someone can get through to him and get him to realize that he needs to make good on his deal. It surprises me being a business man from Japan that he would show this type of blatent disregard for a business deal.

Did it have good joints and seem as nice as the 1/48 Imai model kit? Yeah Jason... Could you give us a few more details about the sample you messed with? So who do you know over there that let you get your hands on the sample anyway? I'll take my Betas linkable, and in blue, red, green, and shadow colors please...

And Jesse, if there is a possiblity of me getting another model instead of a refund, I would be satisfied with that if it will help. (Cats Eye, or a Dragon, or another model of similar value to the VF-4 I ordered) Thanks again, and good luck to all of us still waiting for Tanmen to come through... After this debacle, I think he should be put on the Black list....

I voted for the price being on the high side... And I have to give it up to TwinMoons for haveing the sale price on it... (sorry Kev ) I got mine in the mail yesterday, and this thing kicks ass! All though the price was a bit high, I have to agree with what someone else said... "worth the sacrifice"

I was looking at the source material used to construct the Photoshopped image above, and it seemed to be a little tricky to put together... Your forte or not, still a pretty good job... I'm a 14 year veteran with the program myself, and I can spot potential. Excellent reasoning for your shorter nose cone.... Any chance you will finish the project just for your own personal desire to complete it? I'm sure you have enough paying customers to keep you busy, but it would just be a shame to let that work go unfinished.... Hell, for a one of a kind like that, I would really consider paying a fair price to own it. Jasonc: keep up the recon my friend, and keep us posted if you find out any other good gossip about the Beta!

Though I may be in the minority, I beg to differ on the statement that the sculpt looks fine, and the item IS overpriced. A cursory evaluation of similar items with similar sizes/features/parts complexity shows that you can obtain items of similar or better caliber for roughly one third the price of the MPC. Granted that the Alpha MPC has yet to hit shelves, the track-record of previous releases in the line leaves a great deal to be desired... if anything, let's hope they at least move-up to a better quality of plastic; the one they used for the Veritechs was absolutely appalling. ...And back to the sculpt, I think the picture below properly conveys my statement on the issue. As much as I agree that the left pic here looks nicer... This is only one mode. What about fighter mode and Gerwalk? Plus the left pic doesn't have the wings on it... The proportions look better in battroid, but I bet it wouldn't transform into the other two modes very nicely. I just hope they make a Beta to link to this bad boy.

I know this is wishful thinking, but do you think there is any chance of him finishing the VF-4, or am I just s**t out of luck? If I'm outta luck, then a refund will be nice.

I have also been disappointed by the quality of Toynami products thus far... But I think I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this release... It appears they have been working really hard on the Alpha design, and from what I have seen, it looks to be pretty solid... Just too small IMO. I preordered one, because I think the blue one might just sell out, and I've been waiting too long for SOMEONE to make a new Alpha/Legioss. I look forward to getting this piece, and I hope they out did themselves on it.

I think this Voltron looks PRETTY GOOD. Not great... I really thought the original was simply kick ass... I would love to have a reissue, but I don't know about Toynami's rendition here. If the production sample looks better I may consider it. It would be a cool piece of the past to have on display.

I chose TNG for my fav, only because "all of the above" wasn't an option. I thought they all had their good points. I don't know why so many people didn't like Voyager... I really thought that was a great show too. Janeway bugs me a little, but I really liked the show all in all.. I thought DS9 was the most intelligent of all the shows though... VERY good dialog most of the time... Garak is DEFINITELY my favorite character in that series... I love his caniving ways. The lines written for him were brilliant at times. Kirk... hmmm... I liked the original series, but now Kirk just kind of makes me laugh.. It's great entertainment, but I still have to give all the Captain kudos to Jean Luc Picard... He was BY FAR the best captain... I have been catching Enterprise off and on... I like the show, but for some reason, I don't find myself religiously watching it... I've missed quite of bit of this season... There is a new episode tonight, that looks to be a direct re-write of a Voyager episode, where Flox is the unstable person looking after the crew while they are in suspension instead of 7of9... Speaking of 7of9.... nuff said.... HEY BEBE!!! Although T'Pol is a freaking hottie too... DAMN!!

I feel exactly the same way... I preordered one too, and will wait for the rest to come down in price... Just don't want to miss out on the first one, since I think this may actually be one of the MPCs that will sell out. And just to say it again... the canopy will be clear... I know someone said it already, and then someone said it again, but, I'm just saying it again. About the Red Alpha... I too was disappointed with the way they treated the paint scheme... I doesn't look right for some reason... Isn't there supposed to be more white on the top of the fighter?? Looks a little monotone for my taste.. not very exciting.

I wasn't aware that it was necessary to put a clear coat over panel lines done with a wash method... I thought the only time to use a clear coat would be in you actually repainted the entire surface... Could someone clarify? Thanks.

I don't really understand the backlash on discussing this. Most of the people here discussed the rulings for months and months to no end. And now something significant happens and you can't let the discussion run for a couple of days. The news just broke a couple of days ago and there are people here that aren't here on a daily basis (like some of us .) the fact that people are panicking is just an opinion on how you look at the thread, some people may just see it as amusing. My intention wasn't to critisize the discussion at all... Sorry if I came across that way. I'm just surprised that people can still come up with stuff to say about the subject after 18 pages. I guess I just want to hear something from the horse's mouth so to speak as to what this news really means for Macross, and if it will affect products for the future in a negative or a positive way for fans. (like me. )
