Yeah I hear ya. I think the canopy is really the only part of the valk I think could be a little better. They shouldn't have added the gold glitter to the plastic and just left it a nice clear tint like on majority of the DX line.

I got my lone VF-31J from HLJ. I decided against having multiples since I really wasn't really into Macross Delta. Couldn't use the old panel lining technique so had to opt for Flory's Wash which wouldn't harm any of the large painted areas. Really happy with the flory's as it came out with nice, thin and subtler panel lines Btw, anyone have issues with the gap between the chestplate and nose opening up all the time? I swear they should have put in some locking mechanism because every time I touch my VF-31J the chestplate gets bumped up and i get a crooked valk.

My paypal shows the VF-31 was only 156 bucks USD from HLJ (18000yen) Shipped out my VF-31, HMR Max and trident stand via fedex for only 3400 yen woo hoo If you're talking about the YF-30 yeah it did have matte. All pics and videos of the VF_31's in hand appear, at least to me, to be Matte and not the super gloss of the Frontier-Gen DXes

HLJ will do that payment stuff prolly around 5 AM ET on Saturday. official release not until 12/17 in JP. No worries on a side note, I am so hyped for these new valks. They appear to be continuing Bandais continued improvement of their valks starting with the beautiful Matte finish and tampo of the YF-30 / VF-19. I like the new direction they've taken with the packaging.

Dude I love the new box. THat super nerdy remove before flight thing seals the deal. Just hope I can keep getting lucky with POs and get at least 1 of each VF-31

You know what? I might spray paint majority of the parts grey or something. I bet they show up a lot more and give a much more armored look rather than the super color matching they have on them in the show

NY shipping time is so all over the place that expedited shipping is often a waste because it takes 2-5 days to ship your item sometimes lol. I always go el-cheapo so I never get salty about it. I Just ordered parts on NY with airmail. PAY IN YEN, you save like 5-6 bucks vs NY's ripoff currency conversion

I dunno why after thinking about it for a while I cancelled out my amiami order and decided on just 1 VF-31J since there's gonna be 5x VF31's + maybe 5x Drakens + the VF-31A Kairos which I think I will spend all my money on..... Also the price diff between my amiami and HLJ order was staggering

welp, that's another $140 bucks (before shipping) down the drain. Gonna have to pay it up front to boot. I think I'll wait until after Xmas so I can use some X-mas cash The VF-31 sets are pretty cool, though they still aren't as awesome as the VF-25 Armored parts. Also, Kinda miffed they don't include the reaction missiles on the arms like in the last episode (or maybe they don't include them cuz technically it's not the messer decal 1J......blegh)

I wonder if that double-seat F-16I despite droptanks and conformals has better avionics than the F-35 next to it... *trolls runs away before F-16 and F-35 debate sparks up again*

I'm not really salty about Macross Delta since they released Delta Scramble on the Vita. It had all the pertinent story and why settle for scissors yelling when you can do all the transforming robot fighting yourself in-game I hope the next series is less about selling music and more about a story I can follow easily. Mac Delta just had so many characters and such a shallow dabbling on any character development or story that I could really care less. (though to be fair mac delta music has been sorta successful, both Walkure almbums already exceeded 100K sales each for "Gold Status") Also, if you're gonna have a love triangle have it much less one-sided if at all I also think I'm a big sucker for non-vocal instrumentals that were so great in Mac +, Mad F and even the original Macross and DYRL. It gave those series much more of a space opera feel that I totally missed in Delta, which felt more like a mainstream idol show with some scissor fights thrown in.

Anyone else going to put this sucker in fighter or gerwalk with that clear canopy? I am It seems less half-assed than the VF-27 clear canopy

welp... what a useless weapon to buff then since the ammo is so scarce :0 I just downloaded the 1080 yen DLC and finished it in one sitting. I DO like the additions though. Max VF-1J, Aesha VF-19, VF-25S/G and all 3 VF-22's to name a few. I hope that this macross title is successful enough that they can do future Macross titles on the Vita.

I just finished the game a 2nd time with the new DLC a well. Game is still really easy if you have any valk that uses blast missiles. YF-30 gets both versions of blast missiles so it's kinda retarded. I've got SS on almost every mission but Still haven't figured out how to use the 3rd subweapon that always shows up in the upgrade screen lol

I Just reset my PS VITA to my JP acct and started from scratch. Gonna be fun grinding again. Plan is to max out the YF-30 and go ham on the new missions because the YF-30 blast missile spam + walkure Makina infinite ammo heal super is Overpowered

The Vita has a pretty good presence in Japan still due to all the dating and moe anime games they have out. I was kinda of creeped out when I went back in March lol. It's more limited than Macross 30 for the legacy craft. Obviously the entire VF-31 line is in but it has less of the older VF variants. I was kind of bummed to see no VF-22's. The Chaos Story arc missions from Mac Delta hehehe. I recenly switched back to the 171 because being a scrub is fun, especially after you unlock the unlimited upgrade that allows you to hit 100%. This game is great fun like any other game by this maker. I just feel it's made too easy once you unlock Makina as a main support. Her super ability is basically Self-repair while getting infinite ammo which is way overpowered when you have a good gunpod and any valk with single-target rapid micro missiles. gotta say though the VF-171 and VF-31A are the best

My only gripe with the 29 is that those canards don't fold down like they do on the VF-27's It sorta gets in the way of the leg movement in batroid
