It's interesting to have a comedy relief character that can revert back to a giant, lethal version of herself in Frontier. I really hope they don't overdo it and just let the story progress without too much jokes in between. I like Klan Klein so far. But it's too early to tell. I think it's a direct reference to Billy Katagiri's long hair that is reminiscence of Alto's and the fact that Graham Aker is also voiced by Nakamura Yuichi. Thus the combination of those two became Saotome Alto.

I have to agree with you there. I tired showing SDFM, M+ and M0 to one of my friend's brother and he told me that Macross is silly with all the crazy flying missiles and impossible stunts the valk pilots employ in evading them. To him, Gundam Wing was the "shiznit" with all "realistic" robot action, "cool" and "believable characters" plus an epic plot that makes all mecha anime pale in comparison. Today, he watches SEED and SEED Destiny and says the same thing about 00. Try arguing against that.

I bet they serve the 'Space Fold Special Combo' on their menu featuring roasted Booby Duck, vacuum-chilled tuna heads and micro-missile Budweisers!

I liked Ranka's rendition of that classical song. I also enjoyed the SMS Theme "That Girl is an Alien" which can be heard during Alto's punishment. All in all, another good episode. I hope they keep it up.

Before we get carried away, have we established Skull Leader's name as Ozma or Azuma? If I recall correctly on Episode 2, 'Ozma Lee' was clearly stenciled under the canopy of SMS 001. Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, in the first frame of Episode 3, you can read the description of each colony fleet. The Megaroads are designated as 'Super Dimension Fortress' while M-Frontier is designated as 'New Macross Class Aircraft Carrier'. I saw this on Episode 1 as well and it also appeared above M-Galaxy's designation. Can anyone confirm this?
