I finally got around to cracking some boxes that have been gathering dust in the back room. Macross, Dirty Pair, and Mospeada cels. The Aisha cel is nice because all the color information is penciled in around her. Macross complete series on LD and the Maximilian and Hikaru HMRs. There was more, but this is just the Macross relevant stuff.

I really want a Dairugger, but I was a huge Voltron fanatic as a kid, so I'm going to take what I can get. I lost my Matchbox ones a long, long time ago. December is a rough month for a big drop like the SoC, though, and I waffled for a long time before biting the bullet. I didn't order the Gunbuster or Leopardon and I regret it a lot, so I figured why take the chance.

Arrrgh! That price is crazy! I want another one. I have to be good, though. That Soul of Chogokin GoLion comes out next month.

I've placed about a dozen orders with Toku Taku for TWEs (mostly Figuarts) since 2014 and never had a problem, except for the email thing. But that's my fault for keeping that old Yahoo address, I know better. Heck, one time I missed the deadline for the second half of a payment (I had completely forgotten about the darn thing) and he dropped me a nice note to let me know and we got it taken care of. As I said, TT isn't the cheapest, but I've enjoyed my experiences with them.

Toku Taku has Milia up as well. It's where I got mine. I need to ask him about the effects set, too. They're half up front plus the rest the month before release. Good folks, too. I've never had a problem ordering with them. It's a smaller store so with the standard release stuff they don't usually have as big a discount as places like AmiAmi and HLJ. They're also primarily Toku, but I've found he's really good about listing PB stuff (including TWEs) if you just ask. As a far warning, Yahoo emails addresses tend to get eaten by his email service though - probably as suspected spam, but I've had that address since the late 90s or so. :shrug:

I'd be down for something like that. Oh yeah. It would be nice not to have to fight for new releases at the very least. I missed the first couple of HMR releases and I've been too stretched thin to go after them on the secondary market.

I would love some Mospeada mecha, HMR or a higher end line. But I would really love some SDC Southern Cross stuff. I have wanted an Auroran forever.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that! I've gotten three of the recolor KO effect pieces (black fire, purple fire, and 'lava' explosion) from different sellers, as they seem to get shut down from time to time, and only had problems with the lava. Luckily in my case, I didn't get the runaround you seem to be. I should probably get a few more explosion effects, since I'm buying so heavily into the Hi-Metal R line. I hope it gets settled out for you soon!

I wonder if Datong or some other company will produce KOs of the missile effects.

The closest IKEA to me is 4.5 hours away. I weep daily for it as the availability of anything even remotely decently priced to display my stuff is nonexistent. You lucky people with one nearby have all my jealousy!

Thanks! I'm glad it all finally arrived. Rebuilding my collection of these darn things is getting stupid expensive. I wish I still had them all. Thanks! The art for the set is really amazing. It's funny, both the front and back and the liner notes have awesome art and the disc jackets themselves have a cluster of of very small screenshots and mostly whitespace.

I finally got some new stuff in! Yay, loot! Two of the Hi-Metal R Monsters (all I could afford, considering the Dollar/Yen situation), the complete run of Mospeada on LaserDisc and I imported a Saturn and what turned out to be a factory sealed version of the Do You Remember Love game. I'm glad I was finally able to replace my lost copy.

I'd kill to see them release a Queadluun-Rau, but I would really weep like a little baby if they put out a Gnerl. I love those things and I never could afford the John Moscato kit.

The 7.62x38mmR used by the Nagant revolver might work as well. I'm picking up my Monsters after work today and I'll give them a look.

Personally, I've found it to be more reliable. I always get updates faster through FiginStock. I don't even always get notifications direct from AmiAmi. Plus there's the convenience of being able to set up one reminder rather than having to hit a bunch of sites. It's helped me keep up with Figuarts after I sleep through a preorder.

I'm sure you guys probably already know this, but FiginStock will email notifications when an item goes back up for preorder. Sometimes it's more frustrating when those notices come in the middle of the night and sell out before you get up, but it's helped me a lot. They don't cover every site but Amiami, Big In Japan, CDJapan, HLJ, Hobby Search, and Play Asia are supported for notifications for new items and AmiAmi and Mandarake for used stuff.

Oh, you and me both, pal. My Glaug apparently was out on the truck today, but since the USPS didn't bother to update the tracking status between customs and the attempted delivery, I had no idea it was in town. I would have met the carrier if I had. Ah well, at least I get it tomorrow morning!

Whew. Got one. As slow as things were going I was sure it would sell out before I could complete the darn order.

AmiAmi is back up, but the preorders haven't opened yet. Their discounts have been getting worse lately. HS had it for about $5 less. Sadly, it disappeared out of my cart before I could complete the order. I had to spread preorders out over HS and HLJ this time out. Hopefully I can get the 1J at AmiAmi.

I finally got the box with my Megahouse SDF-1s in!

I really, really hope they crank out some Zentradi spaceships. Unlikely, but I can live in hope.

It's a thing of beauty! I cannot wait until mine get here!
