  1. If someone does have the Monster files I would be happy to host them on my website for a while so that other members could easly get them

Just email me and let me know

    Thanks

    Robert

    Yes that's right, e-mail Robert NOW!! ;)

Thanks for your generous offer Robert!! :D

  2. The next "thing" I will probably work on Macross-wise is the 2-seater conversion for the 1/48 toys. After that, it's a toss-up between a Regult or the GBP-1 add-on for 1/72 Hasegawa model, depending on what people want to see first.

Yes, both of those would be cool.. [cough][cough]booster/launch rail vehicle[cough]

  3. Hi everybody,  :D

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I'd like to get some opinions on the old Imai 1/72 scale Regult kit. Is it accurate? In size shape or details? How is the buildup? Is it worth working on and improving?

After hearing the news about Hasegawa not releasing any enemy mecha (totally inane IMHO, but that's another thread) I'm starting to think about these older kits to go next to the Hasegawa models.

Let me know what you think. Does anyone have some good pics of some built up Regult kits?

If you want a 1/72 scale, I dont think you have any other choice.

IMO, they look pretty damn good from this picture. :D

    That does look great...

    But...

Isn't a Zentreadi soldier dude supposed to be as big as a Battroid? I don't see that Battroid fitting inside that Regult even in a crouched/fetal position... are we sure that scale is accurate? just cause it says so on the box doesn't mean...

  4. I've seen that magazine.  They always print pictures of cars and what they think they will look like, not what manufactures have actually released.  About 3 or 4 years ago, they printed pictures of the all-new 3.5 litre V8 2003 NSX, and here it is 2005 and it still looks the same as in 2002.

Well, what they might "think" might as well "be", look at how similar that Impreza is to what Subaru recently vomited...

Behold, the new Subaru B9 Tribeca!!!:wacko::ph34r: :puke: :puke: :puke:

  5. Behold the new face of Subaru...

    impmreza200719ei.jpg

Damn it!! I hate it when car people screw around with a good thing, they had it perfect with the previous model, this new one looks like an Alfa Romeo wannabe on sedatives... I was so happy with the Impreza when they finally canned those Dodge Neon headlights, they had it perfect then, why go and screw it up again???

  6. For each kit I'd like to post:

Hey Jesse, could you include links to "Step By Steps" build-ups for each kit?, when one is available, like these for example...

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=6999

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=7127

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=1296

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=12460

And OF COURSE, these, from the MASTER...

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=691

But the old links MUST (for posterity) be salvaged from the old boards first.

Great idea BTW, sounds like a lot of work though, but well worth it and appreciated by all i'm sure... :)

  7. I think the end price in Yahoo Japan auction depends on the condition, too.

The market price in Japan is following.

    1. Destroid Spartan - IMAI 1/72 2500-3000yen

    2. Destroid Defender - IMAI 1/72 2000-3000yen

    3. Destroid Tomahawk - ARII 1/72 3500-4500yen

    4. Zentraedi Glaug Pod - ARII 1/72 5000-8000yen

    5. Zentraedi Standard Regult Pod - IMAI 1/72 3500-5000yen

Of course I sometimes see their price are more expenssive, but recently their condition are getting worse.

And in the second hands shop I don't see Tomahawk recently and most the case their price in the shop is higher than auction price.....

About 1/72 Phalanx, I hear that the master mold of it had broken, so now they only released Spartan, Diffender, Tomahawk in the latest Wonder Festival.

    Seiichi

    Thanks Seiichi!! :D

I saw the WF Phalanx a few months ago on Yahoo Singapore and eBay (same seller), a little too rich for me...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWA:IT

I think he was asking a BIN of $300 on the Yahoo Singapore auction... no bidders.

    No offence taken Viceland

    btw, your real name?

    and yes

I cannot be the only person to gauge prices against.

there are many sellers out there

but it is always a case of demand and supply that finally brings out the final price of these vintage kits, IMHO (in my honest opinion)

I for one am out of stock on the defender, the spartan & the tomahawk

    Noel

    Well I'm relieved!! ^_^

Last time we did business on eBay was a while ago, like around spring 2003 I think,

but you've been in my favorite sellers lists from the get go ;):p:D (You might be getting more bids from me still!! ;) )

    I've been a MW Forum Lurker for years!!

I decided to sign up to the forum section in September but I don't post very often so I'm a nobody still :lol:. We haven't had a chance to do business thru MW yet ;):p

So anyways, maybe you've already elaborated on this on another thread but if you did, I missed it. I saw somewhere you where moving and closing the Wonder Showcase store, is that true? Are you going to open another store? What's going to happen with "Blackaces" on eBay?

  8. Thanks Valk,

Yeah, I've done business with Noel in the past (...eBay) and I agree with you 100%... and I didn't mind paying extra either!! ;)

I'm not saying I would only go to Noel as a last resort, but I don't want to use him as my only final price/value reference for kits i'm looking for or to set prices on kits i'm selling, since I already know his prices are a bit higher (to Noel: if you ever read this post, I mean no offense or disrespect, if I had a problem with your prices or with your great service, I would not have done business with you at all in the past, but I did, on several occasions.)

How complicated is it for a gaijin to participate on Yahoo Japan Auctions? I used to browse it now and then but it got too frustrating to find stuff I wanted without being able to make out the language so I stopped... :(
