Hi MW members, especially those from France, UK, and all of Europe...
Anyone outside Japan who wishes to bid on Yahoo Japan Auctions has a choice of several bidding services who will bid for you on an auction with their own ID, receive the goods at a Japanese address, and then ship them to the customer outside Japan.
I'm looking for the same type of service provider, but for PriceMinister.com.
PriceMinister.com is not an auction website per se, but is more like an Amazon.com type e-commerce. It was initially set up for residents of France only, but has expanded to pretty much all of Europe. Anyone residing outside of Europe is out of luck.
I'm looking for anykind of "Outside Europe" buying service using PriceMinister.com, or even someone trustworthy who would buy a few things for me on PriceMinister.com, receive the goods, and ship them to me in Canada, for a fee of course.
Any help is appreciated.
MW members from France: Si vous préférez, nous pouvons corresponder en français pour faciliter les communications, merci.

Absolutely... now figure out a way to digitize that memory into a zip file, host it somewhere and post the link so that all can enjoy

Is that seriously what these go for now?!?!

Those kits were made by General Products (Gainax's short-lived garage kit company) in the early 90's. Both are very rare kits to say the least. There's a 1/1000 Luxion also, but it doesn't seem to be quite as rare.
They're definitely great kits, if you can ever find them. The sculpts are dead-on, and the casts are rather good for the era.
By the way, where did you find those pics of the boxes?
Thanks Valkyrie, I guess I'll hafto be patient if I ever want to find those...
Here's the link where I found the box pics, there's a lot of other really cool kits on that page, including an X-9 w/fastpack, and that 1/1000 Luxion you mention...

BUMP... 1st post update - swapped magazine cover scan for better quality scan.
glane21: Thanks for the poster pic, too bad damage meant you had to trim it, still looks great...
Gunbuster Kits... With all the Gunbuster fans posting in this forum, no-one has info on these resin kits???
About that magazine, here's a scan of the first page from the article. If you focus your attention on the picture at the bottom, over Chiaki Imada's head, you can see 3 posters; 1. A Harlock poster (looks like it's from the 1978 series with the blue Arcadia, anybody have info on THAT poster?), 2. A Candy Candy poster , and finally 3. A Goldorak poster I'm looking for... cool
edit: Grendizer poster has been FOUND! Still interested in the Harlock poster.

EDIT: Snipped post. No longer required due to new picture posting possibilities.

Hello Everyone, I was hoping someone could help me in my quest to find the following non-Macross related items, I'll post more things later when I find where I stored the pics:
1. I grew up watching french-dubbed Anime on TV and my two favorites have always been Captain Harlock ("Albator" in french) and UFO Robo Grendizer ("Goldorak" in french). I've been looking for this poster ever since I saw it's picture the cover of a "Paris Match" magazine No.1547 (Jan.'79) my Grandfather brought back from France in the early 80's. I REALLLY want one of these...
EDIT: Poster has been FOUND!
Magazine cover...
Actual poster...
2. I'm looking for a couple of Gunbuster resin kits. I know absolutely nothing about them (rare?, limited event only?, keep dreaming, you'll never find them?), so if you do, feel free to enlighten me.
EDIT: No longer looking for Gunbuster kits, gave up searching, but here are the pics anyways so you know what I was looking for...
Eltreum...
Exelion...
Ruxion... I had this awesome kit, but I sold it.
3. I'm looking for this Thunderbirds TB-2 resin kit by Imai, I also know absolutely nothing about this kit other than it's bigger than anything ever released made of injection plastic (I think), feel free to enlighten me about this kit too, especially the scale.
EDIT: No longer looking, lost interest
That's it for things I'm looking for, for now...
The following are things I cannot identify, let me know any info you have on the following:
1. Anybody know what this is? or where it's from?
2. Ditto for her, I see Kaiyodo on the pics but I couldn't find her on their website. I'm gessing this is a variable figure and not a kit. Who is she and from what Anime or Manga is she from?
Warning... nudity?
MW member Slideshot enlightened us about this (see his posts below), this chick is SMPKo2, or Second Mission Project ko2, from artist TAKASHI MURAKAMI
Here's a better shot of the "Cockpit"... sorry

Consent in Canada is 14... They've been pushing real hard for 16 though, especially recently, with that Texas guy coming up to Ottawa to "play" with a 14yo boy he lured into a hotel after chatting on the internet - he cannot be charged in Canada, cause it was "consensual sex", but the US is waiting for him at the border with different plans "didn't think of that, did ya buddy?."

I have recieved a few messages and requests on whether or not we are going to do the rest of the Launch Vehicle.
basically the real question is: How many members here would really want it? Becaue that will really affect the pricing and feasibility of doing this.
It will cost approx $3600.00 just to sculpt this thing. That includes Clear parts, detail parts and lots of time.
We sold approx 40 Boosters
Rails were less nearing about 30 total
So if these numbers stay consistant then it is possible to sell about 20. I won't lie it will be expensive. Probably around the $275 - $300.00 range. This is just an estimate.
I also have to consider the costs of resin, Silicone, Screws, wires ect. Plus paying someone to make the casts. It all adds up.
So if there are members willing to commit to the project we can see if it canproceed. just keep in mind that the more confirmed orders we get, the lower the price will be.
Rob
Fans of captain america's work, especially Booster and Rail owners, now know the Booter Launch Vehicle creation/production is on hold, if those fans ever want it to be taken off "hold" and into production one day, John & Rob must feel they have enough SERIOUS committed people that will poney up for one, or two...
Here's that AlphaHX picture again, to get booster/rail owners back in the mood... just imagine a completed set ...
Since Rob's February 26th post in quotes above, the following MW members have shown interest:
Ranger565
Viceland
Grayson72
Myersjessee (maybe 2)
azrhino

Major Tom
ChristopherB
neptunesurvey
Neova
spellbinder99
wm cheng
cobywan
xstoys
Ghadrack
baxojayz (2)

Plus anyone else who showed interest by PM to Rob or John...
This is by no means an official list, it's just a quick overvue of the current situation.
I agree with cobywan, if an official tally is to be taken, a new thread should be started, with John and Rob's approval of course. I think Jesse has shown interest in taking up such a task earlier in the thread.
Hopefully enough people will commit so that Rob and John may reconsider putting the LV into production one day...
edit: list update

*pouting in the corner cause the Booster LV is on hold*
Well I'm in too...
Having been in John's workshop, seen his talent first hand and how he creates these awesome works of art, I will buy everything he ever has to offer... that's Macross related.
Good news John, snowstorm comin' in the next few days over all of PQ, 30cm... yippee

I think he has been sent by God to teach me very valuable lessons about patience
That guy's a Big Fish with cash... time to reel him in with your unwanted BT stuff on "Lake eBay" NOW before he stops bitting...
I had a similar experience with a guy bidding against me on old Hubley metal car kits, he was winning auctions and paying 3 to 4 times what current collector market prices were. I turned around an listed a few kits I had in duplicate/triplicate, and sure enough, he bid on all of them and I made a sweet profit off this guy. After a few months he was nowhere to be seen and I resumed bidding with normal eBayers, who knew the value of the kits, and didn't drive the prices up with hysterical bidding practices.

To answer that. No. I will not be providing stickers to those who already bought them. The ones that I am going to get licensed, which will be limited to 20 per event, will be the only ones that will bare the BW Logo. And that is only IF they get licensed.
If you want to purchase one with a sticker on it you can.
Rob
Sorry Rob, I was only being a little sarcastic, I guess it wasn't as funny a comment as I thought... I really could care less about a little BW sticker on my kit boxes.
As my punishment, I will leave my previous post unedited, so everyone may see my foolishness [previous post was edited before samurai_m's post so this holds true]
-
Basically from now on the rail and Booster will be sold as a set and they will be sold at Wonder Festival.
Rob
If you're selling them at Wonder Festival, won't they need to be officially licensed by Big West? If so, will you be supplying those who purchased the Booster and Rail kits, thru MW or your website, with little BW stickers to put on their kit boxes so they can be as "legit" as the kits sold at WF?
