Wish I woulda known that earlier as I coulda requested that it be halted. I also have a 1/100 Monster on preorder and I'm not going to be getting the valk until the Monster comes in, anyway. :-( I'm not mad at you Kevin. Just caught me off guard, that's all. With the release dates of everything all of a sudden coming together (VF-1S, Monster and MPC Alpha all in the same week), it really hurts.

Don't have as much time as you think. If you're like me and used a CC or Paypal, you've been charged already. ouch. And it doesn't come out for a few weeks. I was kinda hoping it would get charged when it got shipped.

yeah.....pics would be nice. i panel lined mine....but, because there aren't that many panel lines, it doesn't stand out too well. has anybody done any customizations on their alphas? i know the die cast might make cuztomizations less likely (since most of em'll probably start chipping after some time), but it'd be nice to see some.

Yeah.....I'm kinda curious to see if Toynami's worked out ANY of the bugs in the Alpha MPC. Sure wish they'd use the hip joints had on the larger prototype.....remember those?

Low Vis' are floating around out there? Any idea what the production run on these things was?

between the strike armor that comes with the VF-1J and the fast packs that are sold separately? Or are they the same thing minus the double cannon that the FPs come with?

I haven't done that particular level yet. You CAN kill folks with one shot if you hit em in the head, though. Does a resident evil head explosion if you do. Maybe that'd help if you try that with the cop you're havin problems with. I'm to busy gettin some from my girl and startin gang wars. No offense, but I was crackin up listening to some folks say that they couldn't understand what was being said. Never really thought of slang as another language....but, I guess it is. I have the dubious distinction of having most of my friends (ok, ok.....me too) talking just like that. It's just cool to me to see a video game say "git the f*ck out that ride, n*cca!!!" It's hilarious to me. What's better is that I didn't even know they had subtitles for that. Has anybody tried them out? Do they really translate into "proper" english? Yo.....O.G was the SH*T!!!

The biggest thing with the aiming is that you have to be facing the people you're trying to shoot at. It is a better strategy to book it if you start to get surrounded. If you're going to start a gang war.....make sure you've got an escape route.....a fence you can jump.....an alley to run into. Then...just grab your M-16....sight em up....and blast em one by one. I kinda like the fact that you have to have some sort of strategy. Makes for a good challenge. I beat Vice City in a week. I was kinda dissapointed.....even though every GTA has some parts that are hard as hell. Sh*t....it took me four hours to beat that one cat at the club in a race in vice city. I ended up having to learn the route....cutting across....and blasting his ass with my bazooka....then going about the route at my own pace. My my girlfriend was PISSED. Four hours on a game....maybe that's why she's my EX.

IIRC, Toynami stated that if they ever decided to make invid, destroid and Zentraedi toys, they'd simply use the old Matchbox casts. Whoopie!!!

Did Gakkan make invid toys? I was only aware of the matchbox versions. And I also thought that HG had the exclusive rights to all Mospeada and Southern Cross toys....worldwide. I could be wrong....but, I swear I read that somewhere (hey, that rhymes...I should rap).

Neova and Haterist.....if it seemed like I was getting on you for advising people to get the 1Ss while people could, I'm sorry. That is in no way what I was trying to say. As Kensei said (we seem to be agreeing on a lot, eh....sounds like a future ally to me ), you were offering the best advice at the time. In fact...I agreed with you. You were both trying to HELP people with your advice. In no way was I trying to imply that either one of you were treating anybody wrongly. Haterist....you were the cat that helped answer my first stupid question....and, Neova....while I've never (yet) had the opportunity to do business with you (I was going to grab one of the super 1/48 1Js, but you'd just sold out ), I've heard nothing but good things about you. So, please....accept my apologies if it came off like I was accusing you of anything. It's just that, with all the people on here that do their best to help people out....it irks me when some of the members make other members feel stupid over things that some folks had no control over. I know how I'd feel if I had paid over $200 and somebody was laughing at ME. After all the kindness that was shown to me....in a way, I consider this comunity like a family. By the way...I'm VERY excited that they're re-releasing the Roys. I, too, hope that they release the 1S in the TV colors and also make it available with the FP. Wish they'd re-release the other 1/48s as well. Think there's any chance they'd re-release the LV as well? I know it's limited addition.....but, I didn't even find out about the 1/48s until July...and I can't see paying somebody more than twice what the toy origionally went for (but, that thing is NICE). However, I'd love the opportunity to add that to my collection....even if it is at the expense of somebody's christmas gift.

i agree with kensei. i think that laughing at those cats that paid $200 bucks is f'ed up and bitchmade. especially since a lot of members were telling other people to get them while they could because they couldn't be certain they would be available later. i'm not saying that the same cats that were advising folks to get the valks while they could are the same folks laughing at the people that paid more. but, for a group of people that pride themselves on being a tight knit group and on helping out its members to make some of their own feel stupid about something is bullsh*t. i'm relatively new here....and i've got to say that there have been a lot of people on here (haterist, rohby, sithlord, tom64ss) who have been a great help to me and i can't thank them enough. maybe that's why i'm so heated about this. i was treated with a great deal of kindness and patience (i've asked some pretty stupid questions so far...with more to come, i'm sure). they didn't laugh at my misfortunes....in fact. they were there to help me in my time of need (rohby, like i said, you're a lifesaver). i appreciate how i've been treated, so i take exception when i hear people making fun of other member's misfortunes. you wanna roast me on it? it's all good. i'm right here. but, just because i'm new doesn't mean that i don't have the right to call folks out for being cruel. I agree with Godzilla. The MPCs aren't THAT bad. In fact, I wouldn't say they're bad at all. But, when compared with the 1/48s....there's really no comparison. Go with the 1/48, bro....you won't regret it.
