No offense, but that whole 'Vitural Boy causes you to go blind' bit is as much an urban legend as the thing about eating Pop Rocks and drinking soda at the same time causing your head to explode. <_< And I vote for the TurboGrafx-16 as worst system. Okay, Geography lesson time. All along the middile of the US is what's called the Grain(or wheat) Belt. It's a huge area of farms and such that produces a large percentage of our food. That is what Gato hoped to destroy with the colony drop, not just a single farm. Though I got the impression that it didn't work too well and much of the area was still usable afterwards.

Apperently MS doesn't think MW is profitable, because they put Mechwarrior 5 on "indefinite hold" months ago.

If I remember correctly, most of the servers limit the speed to that much per user so one person doesn't hog up all the bandwith.

Actually, I think you're looking at the Japanese release date. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/index.html lists the date as this December 31st, with the VFX-2 link showing 'TBA' for the NA release. And they wouldn't have to redo the text, or at least most of it.

First GameFAQs put it in their upcomming list for December and now IGN? Er...you happen to have a link? Because I can't find it.

That mixed with it having online modes makes me think the game is going to be a Socom/Counter Strike clone like many people foolishly requested. <_<

Actually, you know what's weird? I'd swear the three Zent. spies were listening to a boombox with a CD player just before they left the SDF-1. I know what you're thinking..."That CD stands for casette deck"...but the shape of the hatch is all wrong for tapes. And as far as I remember, CD players didn't exist back in 1982.

By the way...anyone ever notice the Karwasawa rifle looks exactly like that proton cannon(or whatever it was called) that made a short appearance in one of the Evangelion episodes? It's the one that wasn't finished, so they had to make that makeshift sniper rifle.

This whole thread is giving me flashbacks to that semi-cultist on the old TheRobotechPage forums who started posting around 1998/99 and kept trying to convince everyone that the SDF-1 really was about to fall to Earth. But maybe that's just because it's 2AM over here and I need sleep./

The best part about the Space Ghost Kid parody is that it's Andy Marill, one of the VA's for various Adult Swim shows. (All haaaaaiiilllll Braaaaaak!) And I hope that kid gets laughed out of court....not only he is the one reponsible for leaving the tape were anyone could find it, but it turned him into a high school geek who already gets teased anyway into someone so popular that he gets free gifts. And I'm not really surprised that he's from Quebec.
