can't tell if serious... v2s of.. everything? V3 1/60? I'm perfectly happy with my v2, even if they did somehow improve it i wouldn't spend the $$ to buy a v3. the only new vf-1 i'd bother spending $$ on would be a v2 1/48. And of that list the only valk that needs a v2 is the yf-19. I remember complaining about the gullet and battroid proportions when all we had were cad drawings.

gonna be cautiously optimistic on this one, but must say i've panic bought most of what i've wanted too. would definitely be happy if they reissued yamato stuff tho, like the sdf-1 and strike parts.

actually sorry, i read the article again and it says 後日あらためて試作品の写真でご覧頂きたいと思う - we'd like to show you the pics of the physical prototype at a later date. so it doesn't specifically say that they will reveal photos in the next issue, just sometime in the future.

i'm personally not interested in non-transforming toys but i guess they'd be cool to display with an rvf-25 or vf-27 if you had one. looks like they aren't including them with the vf-27fp set though.

those aren't 171s, they're ghosts. so what you're saying is you want a ghost with the 171cf color scheme.

no actually it is very clear that hasegawa is doing a kit. the second article states that hasegawa's is a 1/72 scale model kit. it is unclear what arcadia's version is gonna be (although the pictures strongly imply that it's a 1/60v2). the article concerning the arcadia version says they will have actual prototype pics in the next issue which will clarify what it is, so we will have to wait until then.

There is no proof one way or the other. There is only some not so subtle hints, and those hints suggest there will be a 1/60 v2 and a 1/72 model. We know for a fact that arcadia's release will be different than hasegawa's, which is a 1/72 model. the pics you posted from hlj are the hasegawa model, and clearly different from the 1st pic in the thread. We know for a fact that the 1st pic is arcadia's, and arcadia's is different from the hasegawa. And the 1st pic clearly has lines for the backpack hook, gerwalk joint, and folding ventral fin just like the 1/60. That doesn't prove anything, but tell me which do you think is more likely, arcadia releasing a 1/60 v2, or arcadia releasing a non-transformable model that happens to have lines for the non-existing gerwalk joint and backpack hook?

the text is purposely vague but yeah i would not speculate that this is a new mold at all simply because it seems too unlikely. @kyekye, we should get a japanese section started and invite all the posters from the 2chan macross threads!

just want to reiterate, so there is no confusion. by model, kyekye means this is the J TYPE or VARIANT, just as Hikaru's first custom valk was a J TYPE or VARIANT. no where in the text does it say whether this is a toy or a model, although the pictures very much look to be a 1/60 v2. also the gimmicks and high play value comment does make it seem like they are hinting that this is a PT toy and not a model.

btw, in case there's any lingering doubt, a few things i gleaned from the japanese text. the first pic mentions that this is a joint venture between arcadia and hasegawa, and arcadia and hasegawa will be releasing their own variations of this product. the first pic is mentioned as arcadia's version, and does appear to be a 1/60 v2. the 2nd pic is hasegawa's version, which is clearly stated to be a 1/72 model kit.

Yes, the wording is very intentionally vague. It could mean anything really. So as i said before, i'm not trying to spread any false hope. Read into it what you will. I for one would like to see a vf-0d, tv sdf-1, armor for vf-11, reactive armor vf-0s, improved yf-19. Not sure if the other unmade valks would really sell well.

Can someone remind me what episode the mde missiles appear? I don't recall them in the movie?

no they fired em at the lobsters. the rear half of the missle behind the fold quartz breaks off after impact. btw the reaction missiles are labelled as anti-ship. edit: it appears i was wrong at 1hr17min they fire several of them at a vajra ship. it appears they need more than 1 to control a ship. they shoot them at the lobsters at 1hr14min.

FPs look okay.. the color kinda looks off to me tho. Probably would display it mostly without the fp anyway and i saw one without fp going for ¥17000 so i really wanted to save money rather than pay $320. I'm living from paycheck to paycheck and wouldn't even consider buying these things if i wasn't panicking.
