  1. whoa!!! 74.99?? dang, no thanx, I'll wait till my sources gets em in.
  2. Hey Will, I haven't checked since two saturdays ago. How much did you pay for em? Alex told me his is going to be from 55 to 59 for each set. And I still have to check haji and yoshi's booth. Usually haji has cheaper prices and yoshi will match em. I'm going to have to check next saturday. Thanx for the heads up though.

can you give us more details on what it is exactly? And can you give me some info on the 1/55's you have with pictures as well? I really want to know about these. And how much did you pay for each one?
  4. The most I spent for a valk was the yamato 1/48 for 120. For bandai it would be 75 for the vf-1s reissue when it first came out. And the least I spent on a valk is 20 bucks for the vf-1s valk that came with the armor. And hopefully I'll be spending only 20 bucks to get the vf-1s, vf-1a, and vf-1a max 1/60 yamato's. That's about it.
  5. Soon, very soon, I'll experience that same bliss that you are going through. I'm just waiting for Frank and Sons to get them in.....
  6. whoa! a live action G.I. joe? I was wondering when this was going to happen, only because it would be alot easier to find a cast of actors for this than it would be for transformers. It would be nice to see who would be starring in this movie.
  7. Yeah, I would've liked to have seen that robotech/exo-squad cross over and also see JT marsh's e-frame transform into a bike like the newer toy did. Oh well. Hey Agent one, can you convert those avi's to mpeg? Let me know. Thanx

actually I was referring to the alpha fighter. Well, I looked at the site that Totoro242 provided us and it looks like to be the 1/55 3 mode change. I never saw these before. Does anybody have any of these? And if you do, can you give us a little review on it and post pix as well? I never new about these and would like to know more about it. Thanx

I think Totoro242 is talking about the alpha fighter, not the vf-1j. I don't know if there there ever was a bootleg of these as I never saw one, but who knows?

Actually the alpha is the diecast version that only transforms to robot and gerwalk modes. That's why it looks the way it does when the seller tried to transform it to fighter mode. Notice the shine on the shoulder parts, plastic don't shine like metal does. And the canopy is actually clear. The non-diecast version has the canopy paint white if I'm not wrong.
  11. ooh man exo squad was a bomb @$$ cartoon. I use to watch that series along with ronin warriors and afterwards I'd stop by the local toys r us and pick up an E-Frame and a ronin warrior figure. The E-Frames were hella cool. My favorite was wolf bronski's E-Frame, he just kicked @$$!! I wish they would put these episodes on dvd as I was never able to finish watching the series. Maybe someday they'll put everything on dvd.
  12. Man, how can anybody compare the 1/48 to the MPC?!?!? There's no competition there. For one the 1/48 is bigger, more detailed, and doesn't use the old hip joints to transform. Ugh, people these days!
  13. No thanx, I'll stick with the OG one on super NES.
  14. Sheesh, makes me want to sell my small cyclones now. I wish I knew that these were going to be worth alot that I could've bought a whole box of these for like 4 each. Maybe I'll put it up just make some money!
  15. For me, toys mean alot to me. As a kid, I never got the toys I wanted. So now I have the money to buy all the toys I want, even though it costs like arm and leg. I've always wanted macross toys so the closes thing that came out that was cheap were the Joons. I didn't buy them all only because I didn't want to waste my money on them. I started buying all the models that came out because those were able to transform. I got really excited about those. One day I went to my friend's house and looked at his nice collection and noticed his transformers collection and that started bringing back memories for me. So I started buying the ones I've always wanted first. Once that was done, I got hooked and started buying only the first series ones. Even after that, I started buying all the combiners. It just didn't stop. I kept going and going, so now I have a large collection of transformers. Even more than macross. But macross didn't have that many robots, so it's ok. So now I just came to a point in my life were I need to save up for the future and cut back on the toys. I've been doing so and just buying the ones I really need like the 1/48 VF-1S. I think I'ma skip the yamato elint and super O unless bandai releases them. I'm also running out of room right now so it's getting pretty packed in my room right now. So no matter what happens, I'll still be buying toys till the day the world stops making toys!
  16. What artbook did you get those pix from? and can you show me what the cover looks like? I might wanna look for this book. thanx
  17. I don't know, to me that doesn't look right. I'll just stick with the normal stuff. I've thought doing the whole double strike thing, but after seeing the pix for it, it just turned me off. Oh well....
  18. awww come on now. Your comparing gundam fix series to gungrave? Of course people would buy the fix series. There's so much more accessories and parts to play with, and not to mention it's has metal parts. So for a 8" inch figure, that's pretty expensive. Not even monav the gale figure was that much and he was huge! He was also very detailed and only cost 30 bucks! Hopefully the price will change for this nice piece.
  19. man, if anything should be done right, it's ratchet and ironhide!! If those were made to transform like the cartoon and look like the cartoon, I'd be all over that!
  20. Wow, a new OVA series of Patlabor is coming out? Does anybody know when it's coming out?
  21. all I know is when yamato gets around to making this toy, it better be big! Maybe bigger then the 1/48's! that would be lovely!
  22. yeah, that's a wee bit pricey. Now if that was a 12" figure, that would be a different story! I may pick this up. It has got to look very good in person that it will convince me to pay 50 bucks for it.
  23. My god, that is so ugly!! It's beginning to look alot more like power ranger style mechs now. Yuk!!! I'll just stick with the G1 stuff thank you.
  24. beautiful, just plain beautiful!!! Good job J!!!
  25. well, for one thing, the print quality is a little lower than than the original. Some of the pictures are brighter than the others. Stuff like that. The bootlegs usually use a cheaper quality paper to print out the bookcovers from what I've seen. And the biggest difference is of course the price. I always say if the price is too good to be true then it's a bootleg. The average cost of this book should be 40 bucks. I bought mine straight from a japanese bookstore. Anything less is a bootleg, unless it's a used one, but yeah.....
