Macross II animation question
1/1 LowViz Lurker replied to Queadlunn-Rau's topic in Movies and TV Series
I wouldn't mind seeing the valks in macross IIs universe make canon appearance in macross. (the same way they ripped whatever music in macross II and brought it into macross 7) Or maybe just clone their look and improve upon and modernise them? Would love to see some toys made. -
Yeah I do like the look of a chunky gunpod. Just hope we don't get the same thing that happened with the bandai mac 7 vf19: where the speaker pod couldn't be attached in fighter while leaving it on display, because it reaches the ground further than the landing gear is all. I have faith in yamato. I bet they will eventually release the reactive armor. Doodler, I don't think there will be a 1/48 version. Too big imo. Maybe someone should make a perfect transformable vf0 banpresto-sized valks though?
-
But at the expense that you can't have the gunpod in fighter not have to scrape the ground? I dunno...seems like a big sacrifice imo. I want the wheels on the landing gear to be big and chunky to raise it off the ground a little bit then Oh well I will be getting this anyway to show my support of this line.
-
Gunpod looks big. Wonder if it will scrape along the ground when in fighter mode? Look at the huge seam on its leg! Is this a bootleg version? *joking* The hands I like. Hopefully they will be able to somehow make the wrist sturdy enough to support the weight of that big gunpod without sacrificing articulation or having the hand wobble around with the slightest movement.
-
Are the joints mostly stuff though? They look very posable and I'm worried over time they wil get the floppy limb syndrome. Rate the tightness out of 1-5.

Wierd episode. I liked that it was done up in cartoony child's handrawn non 3 dimensional style. I think it has to do with how one of the angels is a little kid, playing with thier minds and has some kind of spell on them which forces them to look inside themself and see all the bad stuff.. Once they awaken, the world goes back to normal and thier proper 3d vision returns. ..So yeah it wasn't without reason. The characters that got lost in the teleportation thing, must have got sucked into this alternate world. So when they got near enough to the tower, that's when the mind phucking began. And the person who tried to teleport got sucked into that world too when trying to exchange places. The SDF1 fold drives are probably there too. *macross joke* I guess the angels have the ability to use every trick in the book. Including shapeshifting into people or beings you want to see, like a respected person, or just mind reading; so that what appears is what you were thinking at the time. (whether it be a dirty ugly thought, a feeling of guilt, etc and the illusion gets shaped by what you are thinking like in a dream) See unlike in macross 7 all this magical stuff at least feels like it belongs. The idea I think was to get that Sirius guy to look at everyone's "ugliness" (cause he can't stand ugly things being an angel and all) and cause the other ones to run scared by looking at each other as a mere shapeshifting illusion, as opposed to seeing and judging them on thier character to get the truth. In real life there is a lot of deception and phoney people trying to pose as people they want you to think they really are and trick you through imagery. This is why I personally think blind people can sometimes be the most honest and truthful people you will ever meet. So if somebody who looks like your friend comes along, so long as you can see thier character and discern who they really are/were by testing them, you won't be tricked by the illusionary world that the little kid created to try to decieve the heroes. As long as the demons try to tempt you and accuse you and force you to see the ugly side, it is your obligation as a human to reflect that ugliness back at them and force them to look at themself to cancel out the spell. Once they look in the mirror they have no power or legal basis to accuse because thier own ugliness of character scares them. Surface beauty != beauty of real person's character underneath the illusion. I think that is the ugliness of humanity; that we see and judge by surface apearance only and the demons use this as leverage, causing man to do all kinds of evil things to each other while the angels are looking down at it and laughing at thier plan's success. To me that episode is like getting an ugly person who is trying to make you feel aweful and who is trying to take the moral high ground, to look in the mirror and scrutinise themselves. Who are they really? Have they judged themselves with the same strict rules as they go about judging others through thier drawing of them to look ugly and distorted to make themself feel better? The thing I like about aquarion is it is as much about fighting those personal demons and the spiritual fight as showing one side kicking the other sides ass in a physical fight with swords, fists, arrows etc It is like the angels feed off human misery and negative emotions and get joy from it like a kid being cruel to a little insect for fun. (didn't you ever pull off a fly's wings when you were a kid? ) This attack was the kid's way of playing a practical joke and having fun by driving the characters mad. The whole story is really just a love triangle. The main character liked the humans more than the angel (the gay angel) and the angel is now bitter for stealing the technology and knowledge from heaven and giving to humans. (not to mention making them have to feed off humans as an energy source.) It kind of reminds me of macross 7 PD who kept feeding from humans as vamps sucking their souls.(only without the music that creates energy freely) Note the similarity between the enslaved souls in the flowers and macross 7 Spiritua Farm? -
What gets me is when I start hearing the same voice in other shows. (shouldn't a VA try to change thier voice to suit a unique character?) Like you might hear the voice of yugioh in some hentai anime. Hahah I laughed my ass off whenever I hear it. Because the image of the character who I first hear the voice from, comes into my head which shouldn't be there. And another thing: I was just watching G gundam recently, and the guy who plays the ninja doesn't even make an effort to mask his voice so when you finally see the surprise.. *spoiler* . . . . . . . . . ...that he is really the main character's bro, . . . . . . . *end spoiler - actually to hell with it, I didn't spoil anything* ...it is no surprise at all because the voice is so recognisable and obvious that you wonder why none of the other characters knew the ninja's real identity. Maybe it is time more money was spent on quality. And to all existing VA: don't just play yourself FFS. Have more than one type of voice like an actor would play more than one type of role. Much better that way.

Maybe it was? Rick hunter taps into the protoculture God's energy and is able to fly around like the kid in ET. Certainly no more strange than Mac 7 song energy or whatever they use to defeat people. Maybe Rick hunter was posessed by a race of aliens from another dimension (they do not exist physically on our plane but can appear to some people) and this is the real source of protoculture power? Taking certain drugs helps you to communicate with them because it opens up certain parts of the mind. Someday the humans will all open up thier third eye to become new gods able to control technology with thier minds. Honestly as macross gets more and more magickal on us (macross zero's VF-0 mysteriously flying out of the sea like that) I'm willing to believe anything. Urgh, now I'm wish they remade macross and scrapped everything in the timeline after macross plus. I just got this image of a Protoculture and Song energy-powered mecha that transforms into a super robot when the pilot has developed enough magick power and it is piloted by one of Basara's descendants who once again becomes the chosen one to save the universe from extinction using his magick energy and elite flying skill to school the world on the pointlessness of fighting.

So would a motoslave ever come out in future? I might consider getting some of these if true.

that is very true. Without the humans going on the offensive this time, it would have just been the same thing as the first which to me was pretty scary but not on the same level as aliens. People liked the idea of fighting them rather than running and from there having proper weapons and teams to collect the alien as a bioweapon. Aliens allowed the alien to be fast and move like a proper animal as opposed to just standing there and saying "BOO!". It's the difference between a zombie that moves at snails pace, and a snake that strikes fast and sudden, in some cases quicker than what your eye can see. In aliens: The aliens had speed, realistic movement, and they were well camoflaged inside the walls. This in itself made them creatures of stealth (hanging out at night, being in an enclosed space with safety in numbers logic, able to cut the power to increase thier chance of not being seen etc) and a lot more frightening when you take into account humans needed to have tactical advantages like not being surrounded due to smaller numbers, and all of them needing to fight an alien at a distance. (acid blood and all) Even scarier was that aliens like diseased mice are expendable, where humans aren't, due to needing thier skills to survive. Who cares if one dies, when they breed so many of them? When I watched aliens I felt like, it's actually realistic to believe one of these would get close enough to take a marine down due to stealth and animal agility and speed. Previous to this, the alien was more akin to a slow moving cannon fodder zombie. The second movie changed alien, from horror to war movie which gives the alien more depth. (ie the queen being the one to lay an egg and begin the life cycles to the face hugger and so on) -
It's only the zentradi who treated the sdf1 as a "legend" because of the religious belief that the zentradi would be changed by the ship and were ordered to stay away from humans due to microns somehow being able to prophecitcally "destroy" the zentradi race somehow. (of course britai didn't believe the legend or heed the prophecy) We humans knew better: that the zentradi merely lacked common sense of thier ancestor Protoculture before they created genetic engineered soldiers who treated war as the meaning of all existance. There was no magic involved. In robotech they went to all this trouble of actually creating a real magic power out of it and having it so humans don't know any better either. Protoculture = magic battery.
-
But if someone is buying robotech for nostalgia, don't they want to recreate the exact experience they had from that time? So I would just forget the remastered and get the one which retains the exact sound fx from the original. This is what I have. Since the show was never supposed to have all the features of today, the "enhancements" only seek to destroy what the original was. So if you want a piece of your history to take with you, the originals are superior in that sense. When I play an game on an emulator for nostalgia for example, I want nothing tampered with. All the same sounds, the same sprites, the music etc should be left intact to recreate the exact thing you felt when you saw it as a kid 20 years ago. And the memories are conjured up through hearing all the same stuff from before. Often stuff in the deepest recess of your memory surfaces back up again just from being triggered by a simple sound effect. (I had this when I was playing some old commodore c64 games )

Alien 5 ^ just make this already. And make it an R rated movie. Horror, drama, symbols of death and despair, panic, suspense. I want to see a movie that will make my heart beat so loud that it scares the living poo out of me even after I have left the theatre. I think that is the missing ingredient in today's movies. Really how scary was it when you saw the predator rip the spinal column and brain out of that dead indian guy's corpse and scrapped all the poo off it to make a skull as a trophy? Or how the predator skined the bodies alive and you couldn't even see it when it attacked? These are scary things. Or in aliens when the marines ran out of ammo and the sentry gun just stops before emptying because the aliens have had enough as they systematically test each path to get to the humans using thier intelligence and cutting the power as well as being generally much more agile than the humans? That is suspense. Although they marines had the tech, they are soo losing hope of surviving if they think they can fight a herd of those aliens up close. If alien 5 was made and it beat aliens as the best sci-fiction horror movie I will be very happy. It's been a long time since I have seen a movie top aliens in terms of suspense and truly made me scared and frightened. Butr I swear to god do not commercialise it and make it like some kind of music video or put cheesy stunts in it like the resident evil movie or I will not see it. I don't want a superhero, or a lone gunmen kicking ass or attitude and one liners. I want to see people dying and only getting out because they realised they had no chance in hell of winning. Remember the alien is a symbol of the inevitability of death. Everyone and everything dies. You can run but the grim reaper (alien) will eventually claim you when your time is up. I felt that when I watched the old horror sci fi movies. I never expected anyone to get out because it was realistic. The audience should feel like crumbling to thier knees in despair and crying if they go to see an alien movie. But they can't quite pull this off unless they DO make it graphically violent, and DO make it as real as they can, putting characters that anyone can relate to in these situations. If it isn't R rated, doesn't have graphic deaths which are painful and unpleasant to see (like the limbs being chopped off or having someone's face melt from acid like in aliens) it might not have that impact that I expect from horror where I'm expected to feel sorry for the character that gets eaten, killed, mutilated, burnt, cocooned, impregnated, with their chest ripped opened, killed by thier own people out of mercy etc. You'll note that in predator, the tough guy was no match for the predator toe to toe. That's why it was so scary. You'll note in terminator, Kyle Reese was ill equiped to take down the terminator. That's why it was so scary. It was also very dark (unlike the sequel which to me was more like an action movie) and you had the fear that the main characters if they did not keep running they would inevitably die. (just like the marines in aliens whose weapons were practically usless when thier ride home was taken out and thier ammo was low - there is no way they would be able to hold out forever - so the mission wasn't to bug hunt but to get the fart out of there. The hunter becomes the hunted.) I guess a lot of people want to see a light at the end of the tunnel and a happy ending but I want to see a tradegy with mass death with only a tiny hope. Because its the alien that should be respected as a perfect killing machine. (not the main character) -
I love the concert where the military are trying to show off thier powar!!1 And then they get attacked for real. I also liked the concerts music and the revealing of that valk. Reminds me of macross where they unveil the new fanjet plane thingy as if you can win one like a sportcar or something. I also like the drunk guy. How he has a cynical attitude and forces hibiki; young and idealistic but naive about the real world, to see the horror of war and the insignificance of the human race compared to the aliens. I always liked that about the original macross: that the humans always had the disadvantage because we were small and tiny compared to our enemies and there was virtualy no hope of defeating them without some unconventional technique. It's a modern retelling of ancient "David vs Goliath" giant killing. One other thing was the heavy music used. (sounds kinda like heavy metal or something in the scene just after the concert) I wouldn't mind if they made a mcross III to be honest. Who cares if it won't be original? It's an alternate universe anyway right? The only thing is this wasn't as violent and bloody and graphic as DYRL, SDF:M, or macross Zero. I dunno why but I like me my nude shower/sex scenes and graphic deaths. It brings you closer to the battles like these were real people dying and you are right there experiencing it immersed in the victory and defeat rather than just seeing it from a distance as a lightshow. Ishstar and all her female friends in thier skimpy outfits were all hot too. Not a single fat emulator to be seen. Those aliens must get distracted while fighting.

I doubt its running out of ideas. More like: "this is a cashcow proven formula. I'd rather not risk a new idea and make loadsa cashola." But I'm no enemy of sequels. Sequels are ok if they are fresh and retain the contents of what made the movie good but without the rehashing of the exact same things such that they've become too predictable. This is why I liked aliens. They did try to add new things like the queen alien and the mecha and the whole concept of changing it to a war movie. I do wonder how this upcoming halo movie turns out? It will probably be the remake of aliens like what the videogame was. joking -

I just want to see alien 5. James Cameron should do it, and make this as violent and horrific as possible. I want to go and see a movie that is like entering into a nightmare where you fear the aliens like in the second movie. (ie fast, brutal, creepy, slimey, always preffering to be in the shadow like a cockroach, having immense strength and sharp teeth and claws, acid, cunning and intelligent always choosing to attack in packs like wolves etc) Basically I want to see: -mutilation -people have alive pleading for rescued or pleading to be killed becaue of pain -limbs being chopped clean off. -don't be afraid to show blood or kill off the most confident and well prepared characters -time limits (don't let the audience feel everything will be ok just because you manage to evade them this time. The aliens are smart and think of new ways to outsmart the human, not mere cannon fodder. The only way to survive is to run run run. Don't make it an action movie like resident evil, with people jumping off walls and acrobatic stunts and poo) Ultimately the aliens movie was the best because the marines had no ammo, had no way to get back home, had a time limit before the aliens would creep in through the roof, and short on available skilled people to do the dirty and dangerous tasks. It's basically a disaster movie or a "mission gone wrong" sceneario like Black Hawk Down. Yeah there is action, but its non-stop because of the situation they are in rather than because it would be "cool" to put set pieces in with absoluatley no emotional attachment to the characters at all. (this was alien 4's mistake - more of an action horror movie, not enough drama.) Oh and another thing: never have them running around during the day. I would rather a nocturnal alien than an alien that is awake and active when humans are awake and can see them. We have jurrassic park and the raptors for daytime horror. Aliens symbolise death. It should be as dark as what the original Terminator movie was where you can barely see anything. Night time is perfect environment to have an alien creeping around. (remember that scene in Signs where mel gibson is holed up in that room alone with his family with the aliens trying to kill them all? I thought that was scary!) -
http://www.greatdreams.com/global-nwo.htm ^ I think guns are a necessary evil needed in case the UN takes over control. What was the lecture conan's dad gave to his son about steel in the conan movie? (the material needed to forge a weapon to defend yourself) "..but this you can trust." *points to sword* There are many dangerous things in the world, (cars? which people use all the time and die from everyday) but some are worth the risks.

See, that's what I mean by ignorance... Half of them don't know the true events in Macross and mix robotech's world with SDF:macross. Have pity for them. Once they have a chance to see the real version, more will know the proper version of events and defect from the alternate robotech universe. Like the guy in ghost in the shell who had his memory altered by the hackers, believing in an alternate world with false memories implanted into his mind, there needs to be a buffer for when he can awaken to true events. And because there are more fans of robotech on there, the more the confusion about macross will spread in new generations. In the long term the effects can be very damaging. I would personally like to hear the english version lyrics of kyun kyun kyun kyun as sang in macross plus. But this time by mari. Kyun-kyun! kyun-kyun! My Boyfriend is a Pilot now, ....He's a Pilot now! *joking*
-
"So tell me Mari, what do you think of the yamato 1/48, is this an accurate rendition of the vf1 more than the toynami version from the tv show? Also what do you think of the aged hikaru and old minmay in robotech sentinels? Should the character have been kept alive in macross world rather than die mysteriously so you could continue to be her" ..." ooops " *user banned by robotech nazis for mentioning anything to do with macross related merchandise not aproved by harmony gold*

I agree I wouldn't want mine either. ..But I'm skeptical the laws will actually change anything since parents will ignore it and buy the game for thier kid. The way I saw it was that it's just a kneejerk reaction to violent school shootings, and videogames just happen to be today's scapegoat. Just like comics, rock music, dungeouns and dragons etc caused the violent killings and not the individual. I don't see the difference between this and the godfather movies. I just get pissed off when somebody who holds views that are too conservative starts to treat other entertainment mediums different from the others and goes on massive witchhunt. Remember all that hype about the hot coffee thing? The two people weren't even nude. And the feauture is not supposed to be accessible. Contrast that to what you see in any movie, and I see a huuuuge imbalance in fairness, and lack of common sense. So why don't they apply the same strict rules to other entertainment mediums? This is why I like a more medieval setting by playing games like morrowind where its ok to steal, kill, murder, assassinate innocents because the good guys have given you the authority to do what you want cause the emperor is your buddy. You're still a good guy because you;re doing good things too. See? It all evens out. The one positive thing is that now parents have no excuses for sueing companies for thier kid's behaviour if that kid decides to go all trenchcoat mafia on people. (so the two things cancel each other out)These types of kids are just cowards whose lawyers will use any excuse to get them off easy. (even if that includes blaming games companies, movies, books, music etc for thier killing and people start to believe it) Before you laugh read this: http://www.letusreason.org/NAM24.htm ^ the coming messiah might could be a demonic alien from another dimension that the new age cults have been waiting for all this time http://rense.com/general68/nasaisnt.htm ^ Could NASA be covering up knowledge of the ancient protoculture? There is probably an ancient memory plate with a song there somewhere. http://www.contenderministries.org/UN/unwatch.php ^ notice how the whole world is slowly being taken over by the united nations and globalised? Global consciousness. Very similar to the "hive mind" you see in lots of sci-fiction or in fantasy: ie Lord Of The Rings' One Ring which is used to bind the world leaders and enslave them with its power. You will all be assimilated by the humanistic borg; who will rape you of your individual identity and dehumanise you, and you must all join the new age hippy cult to form the magick mind link that brings the messiah into being who solves all the world's problems and brings everlasting love and peace. If you look closely, what happens in macross zero to all the cultures that can't fight? They get destroyed and absorbed by the UN Forces. And any resistance (anti-un) is destroyed by the UNG. The Holy Floating Head is trying to tell us something...The ancient aliens that had thier civilisation here and left advanced alien tech behind also allowed humans to inherit that power through our reverse engineering to make more advanced weapons for war, which in turn allows us to make the same mistake "they", the "Protoculture", or "First" Culture, made when they wiped themselves out. And the cycle repeats until our world is destroyed apocaylptically, (as foretold in all the ancient legends) and a new race evolves from the ashes to start again, (like the mythical Phoenix which is what the name of that VF0 is named after) ad infinatum.. Notice when the Phoenix (the VF-0) rises into the air to be reborn into heaven/space anew like the phoenix? ie Phoenix = death-rebirth cycle of all living things. That is why many people didn't understand the ending to macross zero. Shin's ascendance into heaven (complete with angel feathers and flying upwards) was merely symoblic. I'm quite certain what you saw was his physical body die and get immersed into water, (baptism?) but his spiritual body or Astral Body was what flew into space. This is why there really was not a real damaged valk that could survive out there in space. Because it was just part of his ghost. (although it didn't appear that way because his body looked solid) And the others witnessed it with thier eyes (like a Virgin Mary sighting) but, like the titanic, the physical remains of the plane are probably still floating under the ocean somewhere. ..Ah that reminds me to go and see the doom movie.

I tried to recently play zelda: ALTTP on gba. Completed again, but didn't get that feeling of joy I had when I was a kid when playing for the first time. I considered this to be one of the best games of its time. It's because I spent so much of my youth into it, that I have slowly been put off it. The game was brilliant, but I guess its time to move to new games, because there is only so many times I can replay something before it gets routine. (apart from multiplayer games like fighters or something) Once in a while I take out super mario kart and super punch out. My skills have gotten worse at those, but meh, I feel too jaded and old to really get into it deeply again. For now my mood is to get heavily into old arcade games. Things like raiden and raiden II which I never really got the chance to totally master and loop due to not having time to be able to study boss patterns. I have not seen or played the third raiden game, but for me certain genres are timeless due to there being not much improvement in gameplay with tech advances. I guess when new games come out, (looking forward to oblivion - a rpg with freeform gameplay) my attention is totally diverted to these so I never want to look back at the past much. Especially if it was something I was a huge fan of and have played out. Some games stand the test of time and don't lose thier charm (take ghouls n ghosts for example even after winning the difficulty is ther that it is so replayable) but for me to get into things like FF7 (I found this tedious) that is waaay too epic to worry about again. -

I know but there is a huuuuge jump from gaming systems of that era and today (computers tend to double in power every 2 years) compared to there not being much of a huge jump in quality or massive change in anime from the 80s to today. Take shows like yugioh for example. Macross looks good next to it, and story wise I would much rather watch this than that. No seriously I'm not making fun of him or anything, I honestly find that amazing that someone can enjoy really ancient games on old systems. No offense was intended - more power to him if that is what he likes. I mean usually for me what happens is I play a game to death, get sick of it, and never return to old stuff. (for example when I think back to old classics on the snes, I know I can never enjoy them the same way I used to when they were new because I know too much about them. Like in super metroid there is no element of surprise anymore if I were to play it again) Once in a while I do play old emulated games like from 10 years ago, but what happens is I realise that stuff around the 8bit era and anything prior to that has limits due to hardware. Everytime I think back to the 8bit era I am reminded of things like choppy scrolling, tiny flickering sprites, slow speed, simple sounds, games that are 64k in size, graphics that look like a memory map, barely any animation to speak of, waiting 10 mins for a tape deck to load the game into memory on my c64 and the wait not being worth it, etc I don't know...I can never go back. I'm so grateful to be living in a more high tech era. The anime comparision isn't the same. I think there is good stuff now and good stuff then, but people just haven't looked hard enough. It's all BS imo. For example I just went back to watching ghost in the shell and paid attention to the cg fx used for the tachikomas and paid attention to thier color and to look for any signs of them sticking out and looking fake and unnatural, (as in not looking hand drawn) and I couldn't find any sign that there was anything different to the cg compared to the hand drawn stuff. The celshaded model looks handdrawn and there are as many colors and shading on these cg celshaded 3d models as there would be if these were done in the old style and painstakingly hand drawn. But nevertheless there will always be people claiming that somehow cg is bad, and it looks cheap, and how it is only a cost saving thing (which is true, but if done right can look just as good as hand drawn stuff) and all other things. As long as the fx do not stick out I'm happy. -

You're not joking? You really play your 2600 to this day? OMG. Sorry I just think that is funny. As a little kid even I thought the games were way too primitive to enjoy. hehe They were good for thier time, but man what on earth are you doing playing stuff that old? That would be like me still playing my old Donkey Kong Jr. Game and Watch over halo 3. What addictive game be that good that you'd still be playing it on such an old legacy system after so many years? -
Too right we love it but stupid politicians keep getting in the way of free speech ) This pretty much sums up my thoughts: (quote from the link) Ah But the difference is, driving a car requires concentration. Lying on a couch watching a tv with a beer should be relaxing as it is just entertainment. I agree with you the dub will take something away from the work, but the option to not choose it, is better for more people than no option at all and everyone forced to read sub. Sometimes I like to listen to the dub on macross plus for example for some variety - like when I hear millards voice it actually sounds like a real black guy. Happier world when everyone gets the choice to have either option.

One thing nintendo do is surprise people alot. When the SP came out it fixed all the lighting probs from GBA. But it raised the question amoung critics: "Should GBA have been allowed to be released in its current state?" Would kids unaware of a newer version of gba around the corner be mighty pissed at nintendo for not having things like lighting probs fixed from the start, and the world would be happier had they not been so eager to keep upgrading hardware? If I were that little kid who got a GBA and then realised the new one just came out I would feel a little pissed too. It would be like dvds, you just got what you thought was the latest release of your fave movie, but a more "ultimate edition" just came out yesterday with extra features you are interested in, which you also want but woud have bought over the older one, had you known about it earlier. As soon as you find out about the better version you are ready to sell what you already own to buy it. But it can be damn annoying knowing that the older version's weakness could have been fixed from the begining in the first release (ie consult the customers and ask for suggestions like what microsoft did when designing xbox) rather than remedied later. This is similar to all those who were disapointed by rushed xbox software. The developers if given time to tweak a game know that they can make something move at a smoother framerate if allowed to delay release, but due to market demand it is rushed forward and only has a 30fps framerate and is less refined than what it could have been given a little more time. One thing I regret about buying my gba was that it wasn't so great with dark games. But when sp came out I could totally understand and sympathise with all those other early adopters and see how they felt, because these were the very people who complained about the little flaws of gba screen in the begining, but were bashed by nintendo fanboys as trolls just for complaining about it, and finally along comes a new version, but only after enough time has passed so everyone gets the old model which is milked as much as possible. This is why I am much more relaxed about console releases and have a more laid back attitude now. Because being an early adoptor and buying on launch or being the first isn't necessarily the best.
