  1. Macrosshare Update:

MegaUpload has just been taken offline pending a criminal court case in the USA !

    http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news/2012/01/megaupload-wasnt-just-for-pirates-angry-users-out-of-luck-for-now.ars

So as of now, all of the Macrosshare megaupload links are non-functional !

Mediafire is USA based and Filesonic is no longer allowing public downloading.

    http://torrentfreak.com/filesonic-kills-file-sharing-after-megaupload-arrests-120122/

Currently, Macrosshare Rapidshare weblinks are still working.

But if you have downloaded any of the Macrosshare Megaupload links,

then I will need help to re-upload to MediaFire or to alternate file websites.

    Thank you!

  2. Renato pm'd me a couple of days ago with a special request.

There used to be a Anime LaserDisc cover website that had a

full listing of Macross LD cover scans. That website is no more.

    Otakubell.com

I bookmarked the website 2 years ago and forgot to copy over a back up

of all the cool Macross LD covers for iMacross/Macrosshare.

Did anybody make a copy of the Macross LD covers?

And could Renato and I have a copy from you?

    Thank you!

  3. Thank you, guys.

I find each day to be a little better than before.

My mom was able to get here from Panama by Wednesday evening

to help me with Dad's funeral arrangements. We did what

dad would have wanted and he's no longer suffering from

    his congestive heart failure.

My mom has convinced me to take a 1 week holiday with her

out in Panama for Jan 11 and I did buy a ticket.

So, the New Year is starting to get better already.

    LD capture project update:

I updated the first post in this thread with the software

upgrades that I picked up last month.

After Effects CS5.5 might not be necessary, if I can

find the same functionality with Sony Vegas Movie

    Studio HD version 11.

But last month, I noticed that the HP laptop is too old to play or

burn bluray discs. AVCHD video captures are a possibility

with the laptop. I'm not sure if the laptop cpu can be fast

enough for the Hauppauge HD video capture box; I have

to actually unpack the HLD-X0 player out the box and do

    some testing.

I might have to borrow dad's computer to get the LD

    video captures done.

    Thanks, dad.

  4. Basically, the HLD-X0 LD player is sitting in my living room waiting for me to unpack and set up.

I still have to test my old HP XP laptop to see if a good laserdisc capture can be made with

the Hauppauge HD video capture box and the HLD-X0.

But I have been terribly busy for the last 7 months with my sick dad.

He just died on Wednesday this week.

Now I'm off on holidays and my mom would like me to go with her to Panama

to recover from all that I have been through.

I'm hoping next year will be better and I do plan to work on this project.

  5. Hello:

I was wondering if someone would be interested in helping me get my AOTC Rise of Boba Fett big sized

Slave-1 repainted into the more cool ESB Slave-1?

That's not me, but this is a nice review and you can see how very nice this toy is.

Send me a pm with terms and pricing, if interested.

    Otherwise, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!

I updated the download weblinks on the first post in this thread.

Gubaba took a little break from translating the Misa book, "White Reminisces", and

zoomed right through on updating all the sdf tv subtitles!

    Hooray! :D

    Thanks, Gubaba !

Please seed to 100% after you have finished downloading, thanks!

  7. Remastered SDF Macross episode 07-12 Batch 2 version 2

    3. Macross Magazine for Anime and Hobby Fan

    4. Macross: Do You Remember Love? OST Drama Edition LP Rip

    ***************

Been busy working my regular night shifts and taking a 2 day course for this week end.

For next week, I will look at doing some audio editing for Macross Ultimate Frontier UMD

videos, get some more Macross book scanning done and do some video tests with mulitavchd.

  8. I want to highly recommend mnishi511 , an ebay seller whose service is to act as a Yahoo Auction Japan proxy buyer.

Even though English is not his first language, he has been very helpful in acquiring some rare Macross items for me and

steering me away from suspect Yahoo Auction Japan sellers.

I think he does a good job and I am likely to use his proxy service again.

  9. Kakizaki seems to be missing the in-helmet sound effect just before he gets blown up.

Otherwise, the dyrl clip sounds really good to me!

How is the DYRL audio commentary track coming along?

Will it be an inside look on fan dubbing and what you have learned

about audio editing for Macross audio or will it be more of

    a fan and historical commentary?

  10. Remastered SDF Macross episode 01-06 Batch 1 version 2

subtitles updated by Galaxy Network Subs

    Thanks, Gubaba !

Please seed to 100% after you have finished downloading, thanks!

Most recent rare Macross releases on Macrosshare:

    1. Macross Ultimate Frontier UMD to mkv movies

    2. Shounen Ace Macross 7 Premium 10 minute VHS Rip

    3. Macross 7 : The Longest Noise Day part 1 of 2 Audio Cassette Rip

I haven't posted here since February.

    Where does the time go?

The Ishigoru interview audio and sub files have been timed and

passed along to Galaxy Network Subs.

The DHE Macross Zero AVCHD got hung up by the glitchy

Nero video editing software and that multiAVCHD did

not at that time work well with subs or multiple audio tracks.

I will have to download and test out multiAVCHD again.

There was a good quality LD audio rip of english DYRL soundtrack

    available for download on youtube.

I would need to check timing for the remastered DYRL and add in

some Macross sountracks to balance out the english audio.

Womble mpeg video editor has not been able to edit ac3 audio since the

    last month software update.

I can convert ac3 to wav with format factory and then

    back into ac3.

This week, I have a few Macross books to scan and some Macross

audio soundtracks to prepare for Macrosshare.

I am likely to post on Macrosshare website for any future releases, rather than post in the iMacross FAQ.

More Macross audio and classic book releases on the way!

  11. The New York Times article is not a very good journalism.

"On Wednesday, a press representative for Lucasfilm confirmed that this change will be included in the Blu-ray release, writing in an e-mail: “Yes — Darth says NO.”

Pretty vague article about important details.

I followed the NY times weblink back to the original article post on Bad Ass News.

    http://www.badassdigest.com/2011/08/30/did-lucas-add-vader-crying-noooooo-to-return-of-the-jedi#disqus_thread

Devin Faraci, an independent web correspondent for BadAss news,

received the email from an "official" Lucasfilm representative as well

as a confirmation of authenticity by this same representative about the Darth

Vader "no" and the new Krayt dragon cry.

That must be some disgruntled SW employee to submit such an email.

Two more weeks and I'll know for sure.

I am seriously thinking about canceling my bestbuy bd SW preorder

and rent the BD SW movies later.

  12. I've been doing some reading on the original trilogy forum and the fanedit.org forum about the recent odd SW video clips that can be seen on youtube.

Supposedly, the new Krayt dragon audio comes from Family guy : Blue Harvest, which would then make this video and the other video that came out at the same time, the ROTJ darth vader "Noooooooo!" video, to be fakes.

I like that this new SW movie package is in high definition and has all those deleted scenes included in the bonus discs.

It's just a matter of time for fan editors to make their own version of SW that will make them happy!

  13. Hi chillyche:

Some fellow on youtube sent me a sample of their amazing CGI work that they posted on youtube in January. I wasn't even looking for this and it just drops into my youtube mailbox. I thought you could have a look at their video and see if you would like to ask them for assistance on the Macross Aria project. He said he and his team are interested in doing more anime CGI projects.

  14. Hello Gubaba:

    Good news!

The problem with your VLC subs can be fixed by either re-installing VLC with default settings or setting to default

the extra software that does the soft subtitle formatting for VLC, such as VobSub that is included with the CCCP Codec pack/ K-lite codec pack.

When I play GN remastered SDF TV ep 34, the subtitles appear the same as the mplayer picture you posted.
