The Nekokshan blog has a new web address , a facebook page and a youtube channel !
-
I can only find 17 of 24 Thunderbirds 2086 episodes on youtube. Those youtube episodes
are the same ones that were on torrent sites. So, 7 episodes are still
unavailable. I guess that is as good as it gets for now.

I was only able to get an "Engrish" google translation of the UMD videos that are
exclusive to the Triangle Frontier Limited Edtion PSP collections.
So, I am not sure what those special documentary videos are.

hola lametaliano:
This is boinger from Macrosshare.
I live in Canada, so I tend to speak English.
My last message from marc cell / marcelo gutierrez
was on February 13, 2010.
I tried emailing him earlier this year and he did not respond.
kosuke_atami last posted on Macross World in November 23, 2009.
I think he runs the nekokoshan / Fukuyama blog.
That blog appears to be offline right now?
I hope his blog comes back soon.
I have been busy working, enjoying the summer and updating the Macrosshare blog.

Would some of the exclusive special videos and documentaries that were

I put in my pre-order. Merry Christmas!
That clean op & ed would be a first for a bluray extra and
there's even more extras.
Subtitles would be great as long it is not the same fellow who did
the subtitles for the Macross Plus movie bluray.

That's good to know!
And I'm liking the macross speaker podcasts!
-
I'm listening to Macross Podcast Episode 3 and I heard that Tim Eldred had done an interview with Tenjin.
I guess Tim has been keeping busy enough with Yamato 2199 because I could not find
the Tenjin interview on his webpage. Maybe, I missed seeing it?
The new starblazers website is now http://www.ourstarblazers.com/ and the old starblazers.com
webpage is just a placeholder with minimal information. You might need to update the
Macross podcast 03 webpage to with his new web page address.

Wow! What a find!

I understand what Hikuro is saying about how much work he and his team put into his dub, so I just posted a weblink on the Macrosshare blog to the streaming vidoe DYRL version 2.0 dub. A very find dubbing job it is, too.
I don't plan on making anymore .mkv files of DHE dubs direct downloads available on Macrosshare without some approval by Hikuro.
Since December, both me and the other two admin.s on Macrosshare lost almost all the files on the blog because
Rapidshare and Mediafire and MegaUpload deleting accounts because of potential copyright infringements despite differences in international copyright laws.
I have to resort to updating the blog with other website sources to recover the missing files.

Anyways, Macross Plus Movie Dub by DHE , Woo Hoo!

WM Cheng's Macross Modeling Guide Collection is now available!
Thanks >EXO< for getting those last Macross fortress pictures!
And thanks to wm cheng!

Hello there:
Since the forum upgrade, I found a few of the forum posted pictures appear only as thumbnail pictures instead
of the full sized pictures. When I tried clicking on them, I get transferred to MW webpage that I do not have the
authority to see these gallery pictures and that I should contact an administrator for this problem.
"Sorry, you don't have permission for that! [#10744.1]
Sorry, but that does not appear to be a valid image. If you arrived
at this screen by following a link on this site, please notify a system
administrator"http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?app=galleryℑ=6104
I tried clearing the cache and refreshing for the lastest browsers: firefox, chrome and ie9 with no change in result
for these pictures.
See post #81 and 88 in wm cheng's Macross fortress build up thread.

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=34450&page=3#entry955443Thank you!

I am putting together a Macross step by step guide into a pdf file to post on the forum and the Macrosshare blog.
***** Has anybody saved the full-sized pictures for post #81 and #88? ****

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=34450&page=3#entry951512
If you have those pictures, then it would be really nice if you could zip them up and email
them over to me or wm cheng or >EXO<, thanks!
wm cheng only had a few of the full-sized pictures on this thread saved on his computer that he
could share with me. Otherwise, all other pictures posted in this thread appear to be full-sized
or can be replaced from the zipped file that wm cheng sent me.
>EXO< is looking into seeing if there is a problem with wm cheng's personal gallery settings.

I do have WM Cheng's modeling guide pdf files on hand. I'm compiling a VF-25 modeling guide by WM Cheng for today and I would like to put together the WM Cheng's 1/3000 Macross fortress build up pdf before I post up a private bittorrent for sharing. File lockers have proved to be unreliable.

I got my Google acccount back!
Hurray!
I double checked my google account security settings, so I hope
not to get this lost password problem again.
-
I thought I could get Google to phone me instead (me phoning) them to avoid paying for a long distance phone call. Google is blocking the automated customer support phone service by not accepting any my credit card numbers?! Now I have to phone my credit card customer support to see if there is a problem with my credit cards!
************
Update:
My credit cards are okay!
And I was able to find a working Google customer support phone number:
"Live interaction with a Google account specialist
Call us at the number below when you are ready to talk to an account specialist. We will then prompt you to enter your confirmation code.
Phone number: 1-877-869-9191 (toll free in the US) or +1-404-978-8444"
Now, I just have to wait 2-5 business days for Google's response.
If Goolge will not give me back my old account, then the other
Macrosshare admin.s will have to re-instate my account using my new Google account.

This is boinger, Macrosshare blog admin.
Somehow, when my computer crashed last week, Google lost my password and none of my other passwords
would work for my google account.
I cannot log onto the Macrosshare blog without my google account to do any updates and I cannot use my youtube account either.
(Update: requested name deletions) are the only two people who have admin authority
to re-instate me as admin and I have not heard received a response from their emails
for over a week now. I'll try emailing them again.
Google passoword recovery only works through cellphone SMS messaging now and I don't have a cellphone
that has SMS messaging. And because I no longer have access to my google account, I cannot update my profile to say that I don't have a cellphone through Google. Google has been giving me nothing, but automated email responses. I found Google's customer support number in the USA. I get to phone long distance because Google has crappy automated customer support.

I'm hoping a Gunbuster fan can get these translated, too.

I will not be able to recover all of the lost blog post files.
I have most of my Macross files backed up, but one of my
hard drives died last month that had most of the Macrosshare HD audio and video files on it.
I thought that I could just re-download those files from my file locker account. Not any more.
To recover those lost Macrosshare files would take about a year or two
with my upload speed at 40-50 kb/s, if I can find those files again.
Also there were a lot of Macross files that are now permanently missing from
the Macrosshare forum that were never posted on the main blog. The forum
was not backed up because of the lack of convenient forum back up options and
it's just wasn't my responsibility as admin to maintain member files on the forum.
The Forumer company was recently bought out by the Yoku forum company. Last month,
Forumer was upgrading their forums by backing up forum servers 14,16 & 19 to an Amazon
cloud server and that Amazon cloud server crashed
and permanently lost the Macrosshare and many other forums.
The good news is that the Macrosshare blog has not been closed down and the other admin
blog postings are still intact. But, I'm not sure if I'm the right guy to run the Macrosshare
blog, since so many things went wrong without enough contingency planning.
Other Macrosshare admin.s have been notified.
-
Rapidshare has locked me out of my account and deleted my files, whether the files
were Macross related or not including the WM Cheng Modelling pdfs.
50% of Macrosshare blog is still online, which is the half run by the other
macrosshare admin s.
Forumer has deleted the Macrosshare forum posts
and transferred the new Macrosshare forum to Yoku.
The macrosshare forum was an IPB forum on server 19.
So, the original macrosshare forum is permanently gone.
http://fhq.forumer.c...9-oct-17-a.html
In the last week, somebody had logged onto the Macrosshare blog
directly to request Rapid points be sent to somebody's rapidshare
account. I don't know if somebody hacked the Macrosshare blog or one of the
other admin s decided to update the blog without telling me?
I know I didn't do that. But, I took down those rapidshare requests today.
The same week that there is a Macrosshare
blog post request for Rapid points that I never made is also the same week
that my Rapidshare account is locked and deleted.
So basically, I cannot be a Macrosshare admin anymore.

cdJapan and Amazon Japan have Yukikaze OVA bluray regular edition
available for pre-order.

I suspect the that this bluray is still 1080i like the limited edition bluray set.

I am looking around for a really good video processor
that can input composite and output component video
for up-scaling to 1080p and making the Macross LD
video look good.
Lumagen HDQ video processor would work.
Thanks!

I spent some time with my copy of Video Essentials (VE) LD and tested this LD player
with my LG 55LW6500 LED TV and Sony sound receiver HT-DDW900.
I turned off all the LD special video settings as instructed by the VE LD.
The video testing took me over an hour to fiddle with the TV brightness, contrast, color
and tint. After all that testing, I found that the initial TV set up passed all the LD
video tests. And I would say that the quality of LD video on Video Essential looks
better than I thought it would look like.
It took me more time for the LD audio tests with my Sony surround sound receiver
because I had some loose speaker wiring and the surround sound
levels were off balance.
Now I have the basic video and audio settings done for the TV and sound receiver,
The actual viewing experience of watching a LD movie will be the real test.
I have three DYRL LDs and other Macross LDs, Star Wars special edition with
Dolby Digital sound LDs and Star Wars Definitive LDs.
I would like to start off by watching the Star Wars special edition LDs, so I
can get some use out of the demodulator decoding the dolby digital sound.
While watching a movie, I'll change the LD player settings with/out an external video filter.
Once I can get that version of Star Wars looking good on my TV, then I think
I'll have the LD settings ready for DYRL video capturing.
After that, I can get the computer monitors color-corrected with the
Eye-One Display LT Monitor Colour calibrator and get the
Hauppauge HD PVR working on my laptop.
That's all the LD playing for today!

Hi dokworm:
You are a real LD officionado!
I'm not willing to get a
for $1500, even though this video processordoes do a really good job at up-scaling video, because I am going to do the up-scaling
and possible video processing after the video capture is done on my computer.
Once the video capture is done, Chad Dunham expressed interest
in doing some video processing with avisynth software if needed.
The only LD video problem that I saw is when the LD video is in step mode and pauses on a single frame that
there is a slight video stutter and blurring of the paused image. I think that's normal?
Prior to my purchase, Nicolas, LD seller, sent my LD player to a Japanese
Pioneer electronics Repair Outlet to make sure that it was working properly with no worn out parts.
So, I'm not ready to start doing my own technical performance checks of the LD player.
The HLD-X0 LD player is working really well so far.
Macross DYRL: Proper English Fandub

Maybe, we can brainstorm some ideas on how to prevent future DHE Macross dubs from being pirated.
Altering the audio dub to prevent an easy match to retail videos:
1. audio watermarks at the beginning or end or somewhere in the middle of the dubbed audio:
a. DHE audio warning about piracy and the dub being made to be freely shared.
b. DHE audio jingle/melody
2. lower the audio quality for mass sharing
3. high quality audio with an serialized audio watermark, so you can keep track
of who has directly downloaded and then shared the audio with others.
Altering the video streaming service accessibility:
1. make the Youtube videos only available for private sharing with a password
2. have a DHE fan club subscription service to privately stream the DHE
audio + video from Vimeo or some other streaming video server
3. My library uses Overdrive media software to limit the time the audio
books or ebooks can be seen or heard on my computer before the books
stop working.
But I was able to just copy the files over to another folder to remove the
time limit.
4. Years ago, I remember I watched a free Bruce Lee streaming video: "The Big Boss".
I had to register to the website. Then I downloaded a small file from the website that
allowed the proprietary video player software to access the full movie on their streaming video
server. In order to watch the whole movie, I had to stay connected to the internet or else
I had to start the movie from the beginning. That website didn't last long.
I found Movie Guard software $20 that looks like it encrypts streaming video from a
private web server.
I couldn't find any reviews for the software, so you would be better off
to test the software on a separate computer with a back up copy of any video.
5. Another idea for DHE audio distribution would be to do the same thing as the guys on RiffTrax.com
You can stream just the DHE audio through Shoutcast / Winamp / listen2myradio.com at your discretion
in whatever level of quality you like.
The listener is responsible to get the video playing in a separate media player.
You would need to add on an audio introduction to the DHE dub to more easily synchronize
the video to the audio.
Any other ideas?
