Lately, I've just been working on my digital comic collection.
Tonight, I just put together ac3 audio for remasterd sdf ep 22 (re-do), 23, 24, and 25.
So, I'll get those audio files into .mkv s and upload starting today.

Fifth payment of $750 CAN sent for HLD-X0 LD player.
Only 2-3 more payments to go!
I've been busy for the last couple of days working out some
long standing Vista64 computer glitches.
I figured out how to get the administrator account to
have full ownership and complete permissions for C:.
Now it's just a matter of time to get my Radeon 5770
video card properly installed. Ever since Catalyst
9.11, I could only install the drivers via the device manager,
but the Catalyst software refused to uninstall/install
properly. The ATI Catalyst software is now at version
10.5 . I just really want to see if the ATI video encoder
does a better job than Handbrake at encoding video.
Once the vide card is sorted out, I'll start playing around with after
effects and colour correction software.

Thank you Shawn!

Remaster SDF Macross episode 27
subtitled by Galaxy Network
bittorrent is now available!
Seed when you can, thanks!
*****************************
Galaxy Network will be on a 2 month hiatus
until Gubaba can get settled in Japan.
It looks like I'll need to update the 1st post on this thread manually unless Shawn can
work out a few html bugs for this new forum we currently have.
-
I added in the new weblink to Macross Fan edit thread for
Galaxy Network remastered SDF episode 27
and now that edited first post is a mess of bad html weblinks.
http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=25029
Is that going to be fixed, Shawn?
Or do I have go through (a lot) of weblinks to
update with the new forum's html standard?
******
And thank you for keeping this forum going!
-
Those are good points.
I was thinking of using the remastered Macross dvds as part of
the preservation final clean up process via the virtual
plug in "TooT" and to increase the original
LD resolution, as well as using after effects for clean up.

4th payment of $880 CAN sent today for the the HLD-X0.
I hope the Canadian to USA exchange rate is 1:1 by the time
Nicolas' uncle cashes the cheque.
After this cheque is only three more payments.
So, most likely done by August!
I plan to set up an ebay store this week end to seriously clear out
a bunch of toys in my apartment/condo. I might be able to put
more cash towareds the HLD-X0, but I also have long list of
Macross reference books to stock up on.
We'll see.

Remastered SDF Macross TV episode 26
subtitled by Galaxy Network
bittorrent is now available!
You can check on the Galaxy Network website usually
every 2nd weekend for an update on the SDF subtitling project.
Seed when you can, thanks!

asiandvdclub is offline.
It looks like a hacker not only tried to con
adc members out of money, but probably
blocked my account. I sent an email
about re-establishing my account to adc,
but there has been no response for over
a week and adc is still offline.
Optimusx has told me that he's willing to upload
his subtitled Macross DVDs to me to rapidshare and then I could
seed them on nyaa torrent.
Stay tuned.
**********************
I went onto ADC irc channel and I was able
to get my ip un banned.
I'm uploading a DVD to ADC to get my ratio over 100%, since I'll
be downloading all 5 DVDs of OptimusX subtitled SDF DVDs.
-
Most of the dhe dyrl mkv is unavailable at this time due to rapidshare removing files over 3 months old.
I'm almost finished doing an extended edition dhe dyrl mkv. I'll get that uploaded to iMacross4 next week and post
when it's ready.

Remastered SDF Macross TV episode 25

every 2nd weekend for an update on the SDF subtitling project.

))@)$%&)(@$%!!
Asiandvdclub blocked my ip address again!
http error 403 keeps me from getting to the
website and keeps me off the asiandvdclub tracker!
And I have 100% ratio!
-
Slowly uploading remastered SDF tv special edition episodes.
Rapidshare did a big clean up of their servers and most of the
remastered SDF episodes will need to be uploaded to iMacross4
again.
Uploaded to sdf special editoin (Chad's video) episode 12 and
up to episode 23.
SDF special edition episodes will be on iMacross4
and SDF Galaxy Network episodes will be on nyaatorrent.
Good news for me.
Asiandvdclub has un-blocked my ip address.
My ratio is at 100% still.
I don't know why that happened.
ADC server software glitch?
-
For the last week and 1/2, asiandvdclub has blocked my ip
through bittorrent and their website even though I have 100% share ratio.
I attempted contacting ADC though email:
http://www.who.is/whois/asiandvdclub.org/
admin@asiandvdclub.org
registry-asiandvdclub@prq.se
Both emails failed to get through.
That means I have to find alternate means of down/uploading
the subtitled Macross DVDs.
For me, nyaa torrents look better for bittorrent distribution and
also rapidshare. Thanks to OptimusX!
Rapidshare looks like they have emptied out enough of their servers
with the upload limits of 25 GB for the last 4 months. The upload limit
for Rapidshare is now 500 gb for premium accounts, but I'm not
sure if there is still that 3 month limitation keeping files on their
servers.

3rd payment of $700 CAN / $685 US sent for HLD-X0 LD player sent today.
Not quite the half-way mark for payments.
Ebay has lowered their fees a bit, so I'll get back to listing up
stuff every 2 weeks starting next week.
If I can send $900 CAN and then $700 CAN every month after that, then
I can be finished with the HLD-X0 payments by (edit) August.
-
I thought those two M7 pictures looked like the M7 anticipation manga.
Oops.
-
Nicolas received payment.
Here's an update from him on the HLD-X0 payment plan.
"Your order is as follows:
+ HLD-X0 $4000
+ voltage transformer included
+ Pioneer maintenance included
+ packaging + shipping $750 estimated
= total $4750 estimated
- already paid $480 + $685 = $1165 US
= still due USD 3585 estimated
When we are close to the shipping date i will check all current pricing for DHL, UPS and FedEx, their rates change with fuel
surcharges. Assuming that your final payment will cover postage, maintenance will be triggered by your previous payment, should take
less than a month, so the shipment can be triggered by the final payment."
$3585 US more to go!

iMacross4 is currently at 94 gb, 822 files. Rapidshare has shaken out a lot of files, so their new maximum capacity for
premium rapidshare is 500gb. I'm not sure if there is still that 3 month time limit on files though.
So, if you see anything in the iMacross 4 directory list that you would like to download and is not
on Macross Share, then send me a pm.

I've been asked a question about the Macross LD Preservation Donator idea
and a possible production schedule (best guesstimates).
Length of donations:
8 months to send out all payments for HLD-X0.
6 weeks to receive HLD-X0 from Nicolas.
HDL-X0 in my place by December.
If you donate $10/month = $80, then I would pay you back $10/month starting November.
If you're the only donator, then I'll probably just refund you a lot sooner.
I'll type your name out on the LD preservation thread, so I can keep track.
So far, I sent $1200 CAN for a possible $4072 CAN HLD-X0 LD player.
It might be more or lesss, Nicolas has not confirmed the exact price
since I will be getting his cheapest HLD-X0. The cheapest might be
pretty beaten up. I might go for the one above the cheapest.
$700 April
May, I have auto insurance to pay, which will be over $1000.
$100 June.
$700 July
$700 August
$700 September
$400 October for shipping and power transformer
Availability and Distribution:
There's rapidshare or bittorrents or usenet or irc.
Usenet and irc are unknown to me at this time.
A bonus for Donators?
I'm not sure how I can afford to mail out all the Macross LD bluray discs to donators,
since it would be quite a lot of expensive bluray discs to buy + shipping.
And I would be paying back the donators what they paid me.
The only way I can afford to do that is if the donator pays for the bluray disc and shipping.
Then the rest would be distributed by bittorrent or rapidshare or ?
Production Schedule:
It will likely take me 1-2 months to figure out how to get the best LD capture and
hand those videos over to Chad Dunham through the mail / rapidshare
for some basic video fixing.
Then he hands them back to me after 2-3 weeks through rapidshare.
Then I have to figure out how to remove basic video glitches out of the video
with After Effects. I have no idea how long that will take. Mercurial Morpheus
has offered to do final colour correction (maybe 3-4 weeks for that.)
OptimusX is looking into how subtitled AVCHD DL DVD-Rs are made.
And I still have to see how to get one bluray disc made with Nero or Power Director software
with menus and features just like a DVD.
Worst case scenario:
One 2 hour movie like DYRL could take 10+ months to get to subtitled bluray.
This is because I wanted to see how much video quality on the perfect edition DYRL LD
can be restored.
Best case scenario:
M7 Dynamite OVA 1-4
straight rip, Chad's video fix, MM's colour correction,
OptimusX bluray/AVCHD
4-6 months
Macross SDF/DYRL would need more work than Macross plus or 7.
I'm also thinking about travel time for sharing files and possible computer problems.
Subtitles are a possibility, but the main project is first to get the best video/audio
from the Macross LDs. So, the initial rips will be unsubtitled
huge AVI files that would have audio separately ripped.
It's a lot more work once I've thought about it.
Maybe, it'll get easier after the first few times.

Macross Plus CAV international version LDs 1,2,3 are here from Reco Bancou.
They are in really great shape!
Now it's just M+ OAV 4 international version CAV LD to find.
I did notice that M+ OAV 1 CLV LD has the Macross: Future Chronicle video on it.
Gubaba was telling me when he picks up the Bandai M+ DVD set that has this video
then he'll pass it along to me. Subtitling might be an option considering Gubaba's
schedule and interest.
Then I would hand over M: Future Chronicle to
Chad Dunham for him to make some video adjustments.
"Future Chronicle" might be considered for a restoration project using remastered macross video.
I'll have to look it over to decide.
HLD-X0 News:
The $700 cheque hasn't been cashed yet by Nicolas' uncle.
Last time, the mail took over 2 weeks to get to Quebec and cashed.
We'll see what I can afford for April.
-
2nd payment ($700 CAN) was sent to Nicolas' uncle for the HLD-X0 LD player was
sent this week.
7-8 payments or less to go depending on how much I can keep myself from buying
toys and how much I can sell toys on ebay.
The final price for the player could be $3000-4000 depending on what shape Nicolas can find
a working HLD-X0 for me. He has a bunch of the HLD-X0s on hand.
Until I get all my payments in, he's going to keep looking for less expensive HLD-X0 for me.
The cheapest HLD-X0 would be the one that doesn't look as nice, but
it will be sent to a Pioneer LD repair depot before it's shippped to me.
So, it will be in as good a working condition as the nicer looking ones.

There's a "used" copy of this copy and paste book on Amazon that's being sold for $126.85 Canadian.
That's why I wrote $100+.
Just ridiculous!
Maybe, someone could write a "review" of this "book" as a warning not to buy.
Seems to be more effort than it's worth.
-
I was just browsing around looking at what Amazon has for Macross.
And then I found this Macross Plus (Paperback)by Frederic P. Miller (Author), Agnes F. Vandome (Author), John McBrewster (Author).
It's in english and goes for $100+ US!
The publisher is Alphascript Publishing and the book came out in December 2009.
It's odd that I never saw anything on Macrossworld about this book.
I looked at Frederic P. Miller and found he also wrote a book on Dental Caries.
So, I phoned Amazon's customer service to find out if this is a real book.
The service rep. lady told me that this book's information was given to Amazon
by Alphascript publishing, so it has to be a real book.
Not that I was going to buy this book, but I was just wondering if anybody has
ever seen this book before?

I'm slowly getting dhe dyrl extended edition .mkv together.
The dhe dyrl audio from Hikuro's DVD version has a few crackles here
and there, e.g. 1 hour 37 minutes where Golg Boddole Zer is talking.
I tried Soundsoap, now I'll try audacity to take out some of those
sound crackles. If I can't get reduce the sound of the crackles, then
I'll just leave it and work on the subtitle timing for the
zentradi subtitles.
