  1. Been wanting one of these for over a year now. The SP version is probably only going to get harder to find and more expensive. And so I decided to pull the trigger on an SP that was on Ebay from a US Seller. And I couldn't be happier with it and really glade I decided to spring for it! Bought it for myself as an early B-day gift, plus I had some cash back on my CC to use. I like it so much, I may try to get the normal version as well at some point, if the price is right.
  2. Now that you mention the frame of the canopy, good idea. I'll add it to the list. I'm going to try my hand at painting the cockpit and pilot.......if I can that is. This was a good learning experience, it is the first model I've built in about close to 12 years or so, and I've worked on it in stages over about a year.
  3. My first attempt at panel lining and top coating. I used a Micron marker and Future. This build was also the first time I used the Mico Sol/Set solutions for the decals, never again will I apply decals without them. I used to LOATH putting on decals when I was younger. I sill have some decals to finish putting on and touch up a few areas with the marker before the final top coat.
  4. Yeah, is there? I just finished the anime and have the Bandai 1/1000 Yamato and 1/72 Cosmo Zero 2 in shipping from HLJ. They should be here before the weekend and I'm planning on starting on one of them this weekend. Any thing to be weary of for either kit?
  5. I was a fan of the dark tint. I thought it looked pretty cool.
  6. Check the plastic container where the Stand is. I thought the same, until I went looking for the Gunpod attachment and found the head laser right beside it.
  7. That cockpit really stands out to me. Between it opening up and being lit, that is just plain cool!
  8. Yeah, that gun metal looks really good. Ir should have been the color of the gunpods, instead of that bad light purple. That's why I like the VF-25A's gunpod so much.
  9. Ordered two super parts set this morning. Both with shipping came out cheaper than just one set for the 30th Anny YF-29 I bought over the summer. I may only display one set, but for $35, couldn't pass up getting two.
  10. Well now, those pictures look great! Might have to order a second kit. Any possible guess on the availability of these a few months out?
  11. Yeah, I wasn't too sure how well the blue would look on there, but I'm diggin it.
  12. My super parts for the RVF-25 and VF-25G arrived today. Since I don't have a 25G, I put the super parts on the 25A. [
  13. Looking forward to getting the RVF and G super parts. I even picked up a second RVF when HLJ had them in stock a few weeks back. Though, I am really hoping they rerelease the G, other wise the super parts will be sitting in the closet.
  14. I looked for this kit as soon as I read this! I really liked the design of this ship and the anime. HLJ is getting a restock of the normal version in and I ordered one.
  15. Decided to put the Gallia 4 speakers on my RVF. I just could not wait any longer to get a 25G or even a 25F. I've had the set for about two months now and I have wanted to display them.
  16. Placed an order with AmiAmi this morning. How hard is it to repaint the super parts? I've got a spare 25G set on order that I may try to customize.
  17. Yeah, I thought about the different color wings. I was going to pickup an Alto, as it doesn't seem to have the QC issues that the CF has; the CF armor is cheaper and has the extra missiles. But, now I don't know if I even really want a 171. It never really caught my eye in the show, but it does look pretty good in armor. Decisions, decisions.
  18. Just finished my preorder with HLJ for 2x. Might see about saving up for a third if possible.
  19. My latest addition: The pose was inspired by plastik's VF-25F in the Collection Display thread.
  20. Received mine yesterday, surprisingly. I figured it wouldn't show up until next week sometime! Got home from a round of golf and there it was, sitting on the porch for me. I transformed it to battroid mode to put the super parts on, but I don't think I got it 100% correct. It felt really back heavy and would not stand straight. I don't think I had the crotch correctly. I put it back into fighter mode to display it, as fighter mode for this valk is the only one I really like, but had a heck of a time getting everything to be nice and flush again. Anyways, I am really happy with this valk in fighter mode. I never liked the design at all before, but all the sudden it really grew on me; so I am glad I was able to pick one up.
