So you want Cobra to be like SPECTRE in the old Bond movies? If I were the director, Cobra would be just the movie name for Al Qaeda. That is who the ememy is.. Why create some goofy fantasy when we have a perfectly good bad guy. I know this would not be like the orig show, but I'd prefer something more real, than some candy land story.

I watched an episode the other day... That show was retarded. About as good as the Dukes of Hazard. The nostalgia evaporated about 2 min into the episode I watched. So this thing could go in one of two directions and still be good: 1. Its a commedy. Like the Dukes of Hazard movie, or Starsky and Hutch. Could be amusing. 2. Its a 'serious as a heartack' movie about 4 former special forces dudes, and one of them is a black guy who wears tons of gold. The similarities would have to stop there. This version would compare with movies like Heat, and the Bourne Identity. It would be the A team in name only.

I love maliciousness when its just for a joke like this... I mean someone broke into the control boxes to change those road signs.. As in they took on some serious risk. A few years back the cops in SF arrested some guy who risked his life scaling the side of a building just to paint a mustache on a woman pictured on a bilboard... THAT guy should have been president. Awesome.

Totally. it does feel fast. But 0-60 times aren't everything, if they were we'd all be driving drag cars. The lotus can break later and accelerate sooner than anything else mentioned in this thread. THAT is the win with this car. So the Genesis may win the drag race, but in turns the Lotus can catch up if not beat it. I don't mind when people call it a Toyota. Even flame baiters. When Lotus decided to use sourced engines it saved the company. Designing and testing a proprietary engine for a low production car adds huge costs and they always run like sh!t because none of these companies can quality test like the big manufacturers can. The Toyota powerplant is one of the most reliable in the world, so unlike a few of my San Francisco friends who dropped a quarter mil on a car, I get all the same excitement and CAN ACTUALLY DRIVE IT EVERY DAY, because of that wonderful Toyota engine. Let me add one more thing... I drive this car to the fukin limit, I mean I red line ALL THE TIME on the track at least. I have a friend who races Ferraris and he told me there isn't a Ferrari owner in California who will do to his car what it would take to beat most Lotus drivers. Why? Because we know if we melt the engine we can get one for 3 grand the next day... If the Ferrari guy burns his engine, its 100 grand and he has to wait 4 months. Once again, advantage Toyota.

Almost 3 years ago now, I was frustrated with the lack of updates with the main site. I felt like as a courtesy to the regulars (guys who devote hours per week to this place), Shawn and Graham were obligated to either put some time into the site, or give someone else some control. Sort of like if you went to someone's restaurant with all of your friends once a week.. You loved the place but over time you realized that the floor hadn't been swept in 6 years, and the urinals were plugged with cigarette butts. You have a choice, either leave, or harass the owner. I chose the later. I was rude to Graham and I got the boot, but the whole 2.5 years with my 'time away' I still loved this place and respected all involved. A few months ago they saw fit to let me back in, but told me to be nice. I love Macross, and I have many friends here so they know I will.
