A car wash would rock... My fraternity had car washes all the time to raise money for the Cancer Society. All I had to do is take my shirt off and divorced women would line up to watch me wash their car, I porked some of em too, but I didn't charge for that (probably should have). The color being off is different than the color being wrong. Hikaru has a red heatshield one second, then a black the next... Example of something wrong. Shading mistakes include Focker having a grey VF one second, then a whiter color the next. I really don't think Max's blue varied enough to really call it a mistake. I have probably seen that movie 100 times.

You guys DO realize this is more like a hoby project for Kawamori right... He has other things going on, MZero is like a part time gig.

Probably not... if you look at the preliminary designs they were just hideous. I'm glad they kept working on it. It would have been amazing if they would have reached the point they were at during DYRL?. But given the budget limitation it would have never really mattered. You are probably right. Those prelim designs did certainly suck.

Or anything M7 for that matter. MZero hooked me in about 2 min or the first episode. I can't wait for the next ep.

Probably, nostalgia is a powerful thing. Personally, the VF-1 is my second favourite Valkyrie (next to the VF-4 Lightning III), and I don't even know if it's because it's really such a great design, or just because it was the first. I mean, it definitely is a great design, but so are the YF-19, the VF-11, and many other Valkyries. It probably helps that I was always a huge fan of the F-14 and the F-15, and the VF-1 bares a strong resemblance to both. I think its all due to the awesomeness of the VF-1... If the show had started with like the 19 or something, it would not have been as popular.

The answer is simple. Kawamori has stated that the REAL story is the TV series. The DYRL movie is supposed to be a movie based on the TV series. So Max was never macronised. To correct your statement: "Kawamori has stated that the REAL story is the TV series. The DYRL movie (as of 10 years after it was produced) is supposed to be a movie based on the TV series."

The Max character that you are thinking of DOES DIE! Because in M7 he turns into a dress wearin' candy ass. So he ceases completely to be a bad ass forever. Bad ass Max only exists in SDF-Macross and DYRL.
