  1. I'd like to start a petition to send to SK, in an attempt to compel him to denounce M7's place in the Macross time line and relegate it to "it's a spoof on the old Macross" status. You got my support... In spirit you have mine too, but I have forgiven SK for the M7 poochscrew... He is doing Zero now, and THAT compares to the greatness of SDF-Macross in my opinion.
  2. IDEA: Premise - As Exodol and Bretai discussed at the end of both SDF-M and DYRL the existence of other fleets of the Zjentohlauedy and Meltohlauedy... Action - A special Zjentohlauedy covert opperations team is assembled to infiltrate these other fleets and "contaminate" them with culture (similar to what the 3 spies did in SDF-M) , and once the controlling elements are won over they reveal themselves as representitives of the UN Spacy and propose they join the UN Spacy... The plot could follow the internal struggles of the Zjentohlauedy as they are intorduced back into their fighting element, and even through conflicts with other races and even with the UN Spacy before they are won over. I think it could work for an OVA or maybe a sub plot of another show.
  3. hmm. Human-vs-Zentraedi (TV)= done. Human-vs-Artificial Intelligence (Plus) = done. Human-vs-Protodevlin (7) = done. Human-vs-Human (Zero) = not finished, yet. The only plot-line that has yet to be covered in Macross is the Human-vs-Supervision-Army stuff. I like to see that after Zero. Kawamori can tweak the timeline again by placing it either after Plus or after 7. No, MII-fans. Marduk != Supervision Army. The Protodevlin started the supervision army, so when humans were fighting humans and micronized Zjentohlauedy on Varuta (I think thats where it was) that in effect WAS the supervision army. The supervision army was made up of Protoculture, Zjentohlauedy, and other beings that were under mind control by the Protodevlin.
  4. Well the whole giant-subwoofers-in-the-shoulders-and-fast-packs thing would be entirely appropriate, if Basara's VF-19 had gold teeth in its mouth. VFs with faces... How fukn' stupid.
  5. There is no Dana.. Only Zoul.
  6. I could see something special happening for the 20th anaversary of DYRL.
  7. I think with Macross Zero, the product line will change as well as the pricepoint of the majority of items, however I Yamato has an exclusive liscence for Macross, even with smaller production runs they will hang in there... We all know there is more Macross to come even after Zero.
  8. Does anyone remember the cover of New York New York done by Microchip League? That song kicked ass.
  9. Though I am both dissapointed in what has happened to the franchise and un interested in most TF products, I might get this... I figure since the same voice actor is still doing Prime, I can at least relive some old memories. Of Prime kicking ass.
  10. and to think it only took 6 pages to come to that conclusion...Even 6 year olds have better observation skills Thats not nice. He just got to this thread.
  11. Hence the use of Speaker Pods in space that only work once it penetrates the enemies ships. The pods seal off its entrance adn presumably t here is either air in the ship or it just uses the structure of the ship to transmit vibrational energy that we can perceive as sound. As for Spiritia, we have no idea what kind of energy it is, and as such there is no presupposition that it cannot exist in a vaccuum. Ok, then explain why the Fairy Force needed those big speaker FAST pack things? Or were they just for magic sound energy?
  12. I think M7 could have been cool, as in the general story from a way back view is ok... I did say this:
  13. Generalizations are like sterotypes... And all steortypes exist for a reason.
  14. The two aren't mutually exclusive. You can be vulgar, greedy, and rude... and still be an inactive pushover who's not willing to stand or fight for much of anything, except for the right to be greedy, vulgar, and rude. -Al So true, in fact the CEO of the company I work for fits that description.
  15. I AM serioulsy confused if this can be real or not... Just by the camera work I would say its fake.

    How lucky were you?

My Dad bought doubles of EVERYTHING Takatuko made, he gave me a set and saved a set, which I sold on ebay for about $3000 2 years ago. I still have my Bandai strike, and a few Takatukos Only Matchbox thing I got was the SDF for $35.
  22. Actually ewilen, I am really happy that this thread has been as under controll as it is. I think members just feel strongly on the issue.
  23. "Don't worry, I KNOW what I'm doing." He's no Conan, but he was bad ass.
  24. i don't buy sub par toys. there is interest in a vf-0, just not that sculpt. I will not give my hard earned money for a toy which is the worst toy to come from a company who until now seemed to be improving their game and products. If it takes a financial HIT to teach yamato to produce good quality products then let it be. I'm not yamato's keeper. IN addition. there is not presidence of yamato making bigger toy lines due to the popularity or sale value of the smaller toy line. If sellability had been an indicator of future releases we would have had the yf-19 fp years ago. ... the 1/48 vf1 was a speical case. this mentality will ruin macross products. Nah, its just marketing... If it looks like there is no market for one product, why introduce a more expensive version? Toy companies always do this, they release a less expensive toy that the particular demographic would be interested in, and based on the sales of that item future plans are made. Think back to the GI JOE days, when they started making toys it was just $8 action figures. After sales went well, they introduced some $25 vehicles, six months later larger action sets were introduced, and after continuing great sales they released the USS flag. That was like a $400 toy, but they never would have made the thing if they hadn't had solid research behind the product line. Example: 1/60 sales were good, so Yamato came to the conclusion that there was a market for an even more expensive version.
