  1. Hey Valk, like I said before, I would just love to have an extra set of the engine pods.
  2. Well, my Moscato trio is finally done: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...8804415452107/3 http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...8804415462198/2 http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...8804415484668/1 http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...8804415484831/0 Not too shabby if I may say. Now on to finishing my Monster.
  3. Just got mine yesterday, Im glad you finished yours. Now I know what colours to paint it.
  4. Really!!?? I preordered one of those over a year ago. Still havnt heard a word.
  5. Already? Slow it down so I can replenish my funds. Please?
  6. Fulcy, what kind of $ figure are we looking at these days? The last time I looked into this about 4 years ago I was quoted about $2000 just to get parts that would equal a 1/72 Battroid.
  7. Hopefully this link works: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...460762343006949 Scroll down a bit to see my Monster in progress. Im thinking of adding a bunch of extra detail like armour plating and heat sinks and the like to make this all mine. Or would that be blasphemous? Ive already added some treads to the feet. Following HWR's lead I closed off the arm cannons with those breakaway things. I also added some magnets to the engine compartment so I can remove the cover whenever I want to peak inside.
  8. For the best possible finish you need an airbrush. For an example look here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...5881&st=240 scroll down a bit. Of course if a brush is all you have, I dont know. Ive never been able to get a finish with a brush I was happy with.
  9. Absolutely beautiful job man! What colours did you use?
  10. Flawless! I wish my paint jobs came out looking that clean. Put a coat of future on it and then a nice oil wash. Or you could follow this tutorial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTokLAJc9Oo eventualy he gets to the panel lines, just wish i understood him.
  11. Oh Ive assembled mine. Had some fit problems but thats to be expected with resin kit. Shinkage and all. Nothing a little shimming and putty cant fix. Now if I can just get some reference photos so I know what I should colour scheme to use.
  12. I will buy this kit no matter what scale but having said that I think 1/2500 would be just right. Not too big that warping would occur, a little cheaper, a little easier to display and in scale with so many other models out there. Like Cobywan says, its a popular scale. psst, hey coby, what is your big G's scale?
  13. Hey, finaly got my bird. Looks great, no bubbles, lots of flash but thats no problem. Anyone have photos or screencaps for reference please?
  14. frickin christmas well, I guess I'll just have to settle with working on my Monster for now. just got it the other day

    Help!

Strange that you bring this up because Im just putting the final touches on mine and just realized that Im missing part # Q 15. Goes on the wings. Can anyone cast me up a replacement? Please?
  17. I d like to share a few things from my workbench if I may. And since I cant seem to add attachments just click here: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...803806782965/11 http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...803806851595/12 http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...803806606578/13 http://new.photos.yahoo.com/lt_cooper2000/...?change_count=1
  18. Like LTSO I have that Macross kit already but I would LOVE and 1/2000 version. Preferably the tv one. I m a fan of both tv and movie versions but the tv one is my first love.
  19. I try to pre assemble a kit as much as I can to figure out what CAN be painted before assemly and what HAS to be. Im curently building a VF2 ss, It can all be painted before assembly without any worries about puttying afterwords because it is a transformable mech and should therefore have a certain amount of seam lines are to be expected. Check out WmCengs buildups for the best tutorials if you havnt already. Gundams and mechs are another matter entirely. I recomend reading this tutorial here to give you a good idea how to proceed. http://www.fichtenfoo.com/02GiantRobots/02c-MGHowTo.html It all comes down to preference really, Ive seen lots of build ups but Ive adapted them to what works for me.
  20. Dude, check your local yellow pages (or nearest big city) for plastics and you'll more than likely find a dealer where you can purchase 4x8 sheets for $30 bucks. I found one in Toronto Canada and I'll never buy from the LHS for tiny little sheets again.
