1. Here's some pics of my displayed TF collection. Since i don't have room for display cases in my apartment all of my bots are forced to face the elements on a daily basis heh. The JRX Train Combiner from Car Robots (Rail Racer from Transformers Robots in Disguise). This is an awesome figure in just about every respect. He's extremely detailed and extremely poseable, I esp. like his head sculpt. Keep in mind the individual robots that combine him are nothing to write home to mom about, but when you put em together, that's a whole another story in itself. Basically, if you're looking for a new Generation Transformers Combiner to add to your collection the buck stops here. This guy blows the Energon combiners out of the water IMO, and you can't really find a better deal since he's been released three times now (japanes original, american release, korean re-release) you can easily find one on eBay going for just about the same price he was originally selling for (45-60 dollars for the set). He's a great addition to any collection and one of my personal favorites.
2. Wow, yeah i remember reading about this way back when, waiting for the final result. It's been a long time.
3. Forgot to mention this: http://www.tfans.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=45999 Just in case any of you were thinking of plopping down an insane amount for THS-02 (Hybrid G1 Prime), takaratomy is going ahead with a second production run so that should help everyone get him at a fair price... that is as long as you don't wait to long.
4. Chris, The Japanese Version Red Excillion was only avaliable as an exclusive figure for people who preordered the first DVD Volume of Galaxy Force. Even then he commanded a price somewhere in the range of 90 to 100 dollars. But there's good news. The Cybertron Version just landed in stores a couple of weeks ago. It's not exactly the same color as the Original verison, but he's close enough. Best part is he shouldn't set you back more than 12 dollars if you find him at a local store. Here's a pic of the difference. Cybertron Excellion & Galaxy Force Excillion Cybertron Excellion is in the foreground (grey/black chest) and Galaxy Force Excillion is in the back (red chest). I'll try to post up pics of some of my stuff that's on display a little later... most of my TF's are in storage... hell most of my stuff period is in storage. haha...
5. Nice Pix. He's def. a great figure all right. I think of Galaxy Force/Cybertron, Live Convoy has got to be my favorite mold, although there's a number of excellent figures in the line. Galaxy Convoy is also a nice figure, you'll notice he's not as detailed as THS-01, but he makes up for it in shear size. Thundercracker is a cool little figure, but his bot mode is seriously lacking in comparison to his Alt. mode, still for the price i can't say he's not a good purchase. As for Starscream, don't hesitate to pick him up too if you're able, he's another excellent figure and one of the better decepticons.
6. Here yah go mate. http://www.tfmaster.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2896
7. Nice collection DyNo! That Roy Battle Damaged Super Poseable sure looks like he’s seen better days though… and it is just me or does it look like he’s about to get murdered by Max and Miria’s Q-Raus?
8. I thought this review pretty much sumed up Alternator OPs pretty well: http://www.tformers.com/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=663
9. Wow that's a subtle enough paint job, but it adds a ton of character to that figure. Nice job!
10. Yeah I don’t think this is a model kit either, but more a figure that requires some slight assembly. It looks awesome alright, but at 200+ dollars I really don’t think I’ll be plopping down the money for it.
11. Well that right there is a difference. I own both toys as well, and my GF Convoy is still in box. The Cybertron Prime has noticably less paint than the Japanese version as the American releases almost always do, and for the price i've seen GF convoy going for lately (i read he was on clearance in Japan), i'd put up a little extra money for the GF version if i didn't already own both. 388005 Ahh, well as paint goes, occassionally US versions have more paint, or in the case of most of the large Energon Autobots, more features. Some Japanocentric fans usually find a way of rationalising that in this case, less paint is better or having features gutted is better all the while paying more money. It is confusing to deal with japanophiles. 388338 I don’t understand what kind of point you’re trying to make here. First of all you point out “occasional†US releases have more paint than their Japanese counterparts. Well that seems to be more the exception and not the rule. Furthermore this isn’t one of them. As for the larger Energon bots, I never collected a single Energon figure other than the Energon Sabers so I can’t verify or deny what you’re talking about. Features being gutted out of the figures doesn’t really matter to me that much either, since I’m not actually going to be playing with my toys anyway. Plain and simple for display purposes the Japanese counterparts almost always look better. Am I willing to pay a little more because of that? Yes. More than double? No. But if you can get the Japanese figures on preorder before they become scarce you can easily land them for only a little more than their American counterparts would cost and usually (but not always) a lot quicker.
12. The season 7 set was the last one i think i'll be buying. I haven't watched too many episodes over the last 5 or 6 years or so myself, until my girlfriend insisted that we start watching it every Sunday. It's def. not as good as i remember it, but at least they're trying. I really hope the movie isn't a stinker.
13. Same... I need to come to this sub-forum more often. That is an amazing piece of work. Can't wait for the final product! GL.
14. I know. They should've done this about ten years ago. Let's just hope they get back some of the original writers (like Conan O'Brien) to come back for this one. 388227 I remember reading a long time ago that Matt Groening was against making a movie until after the series was over. Eventually i think he changed that mind set and i dont think this next season will be the last run of the Simpsons.
15. You mean that black one is customised? Or can you get both off the shelves? 387951 i believe this one you can buy off the shelf as well, i still kind of like the blue one better. chris 388007 Yes you can buy it off the shelves. It's a GF exclusive being put out by Toy's Dream Project. It's limited to only about 5000 or so if i remember correctly. If you want to save your money though Hasbro is apparently thinking of releasing an American version under the Cybertron line called Dark Soundwave . It'll probably have less paint apps and such, but it will also probably be only about half the price, so it's give and take.

17. Galaxy Force Soundblaster Gallery: http://www.cosmicrust.com/toys/galaxyforce/soundblaster.php This guy improves on just about every aspect of the original. I just got mine in the mail today in fact! But i don't think he'll be seeing the light of day until i get a worthy display case. Until then i've always got everyone else's pictures.
18. Heh Brain Powered is a Mess. I'm sure there's people here who could give you a much better rundown of what's wrong with the series than me, but put simply it's just too complicated, with little to no explaination of who anyone is, why they're fighting who they are and what that has to do with the story as a whole. Granted i only watched about the first 8 episodes, but i was so dismayed at how hard it was to get into, i couldn't stomach watching anymore of it... (esp. because i paid 60 dollars for the first two videos based on a postive review i read... they must have been paid off after what i witnessed). Here's a review that pretty much sums it IMO: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_Powered
19. Nice Pix! I really hope Collector Maniacs (Local Import Store) gets their two cases soon, otherwise i'm going to have to bite the bullet and check out ebay. As for the THS-01, i never could find myself plopping down the money for a smaller version of a figure i already had. GF convoy is a great toy and although i know the THS version is more detailed and much more poseable, i really didn't see why i'd need another no matter how nice he was. Still if you didn't have the original i wholeheartedly agree that you should take the extra effort to find a THS-01 Convoy over his Bigger Brothers... esp. the Cyberton Release.
20. More PIX of THS-02 Goodness. http://members9.tsukaeru.net/ty1_toys/toys/THS02_01.htm http://members9.tsukaeru.net/ty1_toys/toys/THS02_02.htm
21. You bring up a good point Chris, but either way, even if they do cut down on the die-cast though, 32 inches is really pushing the envelope. Just to put into perspective, to date the largest transformer ever made (officially, not bootlegs) is Fortress/Grand/Brave Maximus. His height measures in at just under 22 inches, meaning a 1/24 Scale Starscream would come out to almost a foot taller than that.
22. I'm foaming at the mouth thinking about what Kawamori-san could do in 1/24 scale. 387256 I seriously doubt it will be in 1/24 Scale. Considering how large that would be (F-15 Length: 63.75 Feet x 12 (Inch conversion) = 765 / 24 (Scale) = 32 Inches), I don’t see any way Takaratomy could possibly sell him at 99 dollars and still turn a profit, esp. when you consider the amount of die-cast it would take to produce one. It would be amazingly detailed if they could pull it off, but I think at the price point they’re pushing him at, it’ll be a lot closer to the size of what MP Ops and Magnus (12-14 Inches) are.
23. Possible Transformers KISS explaination... and BT Rodimus? http://www.tformers.com/article.php?sid=5776&mode=flat
24. I lurked on the forums for years, finally joined up on the old site back in 2002 under a diff. alias and again in 2004 after the relaunch.
25. Wow, that was downright jaw dropping. I remember seeing this CG render when it first started surfacing but i had no idea the guy was actually putting his render into motion. That is some seriously talented work. As for Don Figueroa i had no idea he had anything to do with the movie? I think Don Figureroa is easily the best TF artist out there right now, but i don't remember reading him designing the TF's in the movie. If this is the case i don't think we'll have anything to worry about when it comes to the designs of the robots... as for the movie itself though, that might be a different story... let's just say i don't have high hopes for it.
