  1. It wouldn't be $900 dollars. haha. I think it just needs some minor tweaks to make it just as tight as the 1/60. It's virtually the same toy so the blueprint is already there. I think the best chance to see a 1/48 line is if the Robotech movie gets made. haha.
  2. Meh. I really dislike the head shape on this one.. and the colors are ... unpleasant. I'm not super crazy about his character either. I wish they would include super-parts more often. I think it's worth the extra price to get them when you buy the first time.
  3. It felt a lot more like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with the voice overs and narration. And the way it was more about RDJ being RDJ than the actual Iron Man Suit. I feel like maybe RDJ didn't want to be in the suit that much and do some acting as "less" of a super hero. Since he pretty much IS the franchise at this point it wouldn't shock me if the director/studio didn't cave a bit to his suggestions. If so, I feel the film suffered for it.
  4. It's not a good hobby to be in it for the money. There are a lot better ways to invest and make money than re-selling toys. I'm sure some guys make a decent amount buying up stock and moving it on to those who aren't savvy, but they still have to pay shipping and hold things in stock to make a profit. Toy shops aren't raking it in hand over fist because of overhead. In 30-40 years you may be able to get some returns on some pieces, but who knows. It's too hard to guess. I think there is something to be said about impulse control and keeping your collection enjoyable and managed. I believe in keeping almost all my pieces displayed properly so I can interact with them, and moving pieces I'm not interested in anymore. If I have something in a box under my bed or in my closet it won't be there for long. Haha.
  5. There was a holiday last week. Everything should be back to normal this week.
  6. Idk about that. Something about the 1/60.. it seems really naked and skinny in Battroid mode. The proportions are nice... but without super/strike packs it's really lacking. The 1/48 feels a lot more impressive on it's own, though the details and overall sculpt might not be as exact or as tight. Xrentonx - I agree with a lot of your points. A deluxe 1/48 to rule them all would be a great collectors item, instead of just a mass produced line. If you look at the amount of gimmicks and detail that Takara is doing with the masterpiece line, I don't think it's impossible.
  7. I think it's kind of silly to say it's too big. Nobody complained that Jetfire was too big, or complained about the size of the chunky monkey and it's one of the classic toys of the last 30 years. If you have space/money limitations the 1/60 is def a better choice, but these days the 1/60s are about as expensive. I'd say you can find some 1/48s cheaper than 1/60s! haha.
  8. I like having a mix of both. I think the 1/60's V2's are a more solid and flawless toy, but the 1/48's are more fun to transform and look fantastic. I'm trying to buy up a few that are on my radar
  9. Yeah, they are even harder to find during the great panic of 2013 than anything else! haha.
  10. I have a feeling that Arcadia won't touch the 1/48 molds if they do decide to go in the TF market. Whats your sense on the future of the 1/48 scale line? Maybe Bandai will get the rights to it? Or will it stay a Yamato niche for a long time to come?
  11. MYK - Agree. But it was for being a drunk. I wish the movies had the balls to show this. I think his whole PTSD thing was a bit forced to be honest.
  12. Personally, it gives the toy staying power as a puzzle to me. It's something I can pick back up and spend a few hours enjoying from time to time. Glad you like yours
  13. He's too busy making fun of new Frontier fans for calling a valk by the wrong name than enforcing spoiler tags
  14. I Didn't like the movie that much. I would give it a C+ overall. I thought the plot was confused and convoluted. It's like they wanted to make it more like the Dark Knight with a bit of an edge and a gritty bad guy (Bane), and even mix in some James Bond kind of stuff... then they backed off near the end of the film and went full super hero. I wanted to see an Epic superhero showdown between Iron Man and Mandarin, but it didn't really pan out that way. In that way, it WAS like the Dark Knight. Not enough time with the Batman being Batman, just like there wasn't enough time with Iron Man being Iron Man. Anyway, I wouldn't watch it again. I think the second one had a better story and overall action.
  15. Really nice picture setup! Can't wait to get mine.
  16. You can never have enough strike packs

  19. I'm sure you could get it on ebay and make some money off what you initially paid. If you want a few months when all stores are sold out you could probably make a bit more. Up to you really.
  20. Finally got up to Episode 4. It's seems to be picking up all the same beats from SDF but rather quickly. Really enjoying it so far though. Lots of... Boobs in this show. for sure. haha
  21. Yes. *counts on both hands.
  22. Hahaha. People on this site will buy anything
  23. The green DYRL scheme is great. I'm kind of partial to the brown TV version too haha.
  24. I love the word Garish. I use it a lot myself. haha
  25. Snazzy VF-11's are my second favorite valk after the VF0 and the VF-1
