  1. If it's a Generations/Classics or WFC, that's cool, but no more movie Jazz, please. While we're on the subject, Scourge! Thunderwing! Grapple! Perceptor!
  2. Red Alert I'll take, Megatron and Soundwave I do want, and I'm even glad to get Dirge... now can we please get a domestic non-exclusive Thundercracker?
  3. That would be freaking awesome. I wasn't sold on his bot mode (his arm gun just doesn't look right), but the concept art for him had a cool jet alt-mode.
  4. This is from the TakaraTomy panel at BotCon. Probably just an off-hand remark, but I'm positively tickled at the slightest possibility of a new (hopefully Generations) Shockwave.
  5. Well, there was a UPS truck parked in front of the building when I was leaving yesterday, so I might stop by again today, since I have some errands to run anyway. Virginia and Maryland are so close to Pennsylvania; I'd have to imagine that if we don't have them yet, we'll have them soon. Prime and Thrust are my top priorities, although I agree he should have been a Voyager. Drift might have been a pass for me, but Peg is a must-buy. Counting Bumblebee, is that it for wave 1? The only other Generations figures I can recall them making are Darkmount/Straxis and Blurr. EDIT: Still nope.
  6. So I guess there have been some sightings of the new Generations toys at some Toys R Us. The initial reported sighting was somewhere in Maryland, but I guess they've turned up in some other places too. All I know is that they're NOT here in Greensburg, PA...
  7. I blame the fact that it's on the PSP. I blame stupid 8-bit nostalgia, and the fact that it was readily available for all three consoles.
  8. As a big Mega Man fan, I'll probably buy it if I get a 3DS... but I still gotta question why Capcom's wasting resources on a 3D NES game instead of Powered Up 2...
  9. Whether or not you should get it really relies on two things. 1.) Do you like shooters? 2.) Do you like Transformers? If the answer to the first one is a no, playing a Transformers shooter isn't likely to change your mind. If the answer to number two is no, then there are better shooters on the market. If the answer to both is yes, then it's definitely worth playing. Not that what other people think always matters, but it's getting pretty good reviews. An 8.5 from Game Informer, a B+ from 1up, and a 9.0 from IGN.
  10. Yeah, I liked it, but I didn't love it. It's a competent, if short, third person shooter. There's plenty of little easter eggs for Transformers fans. But for all the hype about how it was going to delve into the Transformers back story and show how Starscream hooked up with the Decepticons and how Optimus and Bumblebee met, the story's actually pretty thin. I mean, Bumblebee and Optimus' meeting basically goes down like this: BB: "I'm Bumbleebee." Optimus: "I'm Optimus. Ratchet, fix this guy up; he's with us now." All-in-all, it's a good first try. It's better than either of the movie games (or the Japanese G1 game), and perhaps as good as the Armada PS2 game. I just wish that High Moon could have delivered something that felt less generic third-person shooter with Transformers and something that felt uniquely Transformers, but it's hard to fault them for coming closer than just about anyone else. Fine with me; I never liked that version anyway. I preferred Dreamwave's "Optronix" bit, but I think I really prefer War for Cybertron's notion that he was always Optmius, and that Prime is just a title.
  11. Meh. I had a launch day system that RRoD-ed on me like a month or so ago. I replaced it with a 120GB Elite. I guess I'd be more mad, but I got nearly five years out of the unit, and it's not like it's the first console to die on me. I had two PlayStations, two PS2s, and three Dreamcasts. At least the new 360 seems to know when it's overheating and shuts itself down proactively.
  12. I don't think so. See, G1 Prime is Convoy, and RID Prime is Fire Convoy. Or something.
  13. After playing the game, I'm really looking forward to the toys, but I'm going to wait for them to turn up in my local stores. Checking out the concept art in the bonuses has me REALLY wanting a Shockwave...
  14. Finished the Decepticon campaign in War for Cybertron. It's definitely a good game, but not as groundbreaking as they've hyped it to be. The whole "Dark Energon" plot is reminiscent of the 80's cartoon in that it plays out like just another one of Megatron's diabolical schemes. When/if you guys pick up the game, check out the concept art in the extras. That just might be the coolest alt mode for Shockwave I've ever seen... too bad he's only in the multiplayer, and even then only if you preordered it from Gamestop.
  15. Not that I know of. I mean, G1 to them is the original cartoon through Car Robots/Robots in Disguise, but I'm pretty sure everything since is separate.
  16. Sears is breaking the street date on War for Cybertron. I passed on Shockwave and canceled my Gamestop reserve, all so I could start playing it this weekend. Sorry for the crap quality; my phone doesn't take the best pics.
  17. Not sure if anyone was interested in the War for Cybertron game, but Sears is breaking the street date.
  18. It's more cluttered now, and I had to replace the keyboard, but the desk itself, the tower, the monitor, and the speakers are all current.
  19. does what Nintendon't

  20. All of the GBA Mega Man Zero games were recently released as a DS compilation. In honor of that, I decided to change my main desktop's wallpaper. So now you guys will have seen all my wallpapers except my Mac's, but I'm selling it anyway.
  21. Well, now that you mention it, their faces are really different, but their "helmets" are almost identical. I think it's just a coincidence though; I think Peg's supposed to be modeled more off of Gundam (hence the protrusion on his chin).
  22. Nope. He looked like War for Cybtertron Bumblebee. You can see pics of the toy here. Just imagine he's green instead of yellow, and that those tires are actually maneuvering thrusters. For multiplayer, you'll be able to design your own character. I think you'll be able to pick from more templates than just Bumblebee for scout.
  23. Apparently a Spotlight wasn't enough for Peg; I hear he's getting a four-part mini-series now, right around the time his toy should be hitting shelves.
  24. I imagine that different characters/classes control a bit differently. The scout I was playing was basically a green Bumblebee, and I can tell you that he wasn't clunky at all. Ignore the fact that he's a robot, and he felt like any other third person shooter. Transforming felt pretty natural, if not as fluid as RotF. The controls for transformed Bumblebee were a tad disappointing because they were identical to bod-mode Bumblebee. He doesn't drive on tires; he sort of hovers. You push the analog stick forward to go forward, right or left to strafe, etc. Alt mode didn't feel particularly fast, either, so I didn't feel like there was a compelling reason to do it. I'm hoping that different alt-modes might play differently, or that there might be a better reason to transform in the campaign.
