  1. Not gonna lie, I'll buy every figure in the line, just like I did last time (actually, I managed to not buy Cliffjumper, but that was due to the fact that I wasn't thrilled with Bumblebee). But Shockwave if the only one I can think of that I actually have a powerful need for.
  2. Heh, I was just coming to post this info myself! FoC Shockwave is just about my most-desired figure, as he'd satisfy my need for a Shockwave that'd fit with my Classics figures. For that matter, if we get a FoC Grimlock, he looks like he'd be a good replacement for the less-than-awesome Classics version.
  3. I don't know how you missed it! One thing's for sure, once you see it, you can't unsee it.
  4. slaginpit, can you put another Transformer with not-Devastator? Any Prime from Classics/Universe/Generations, Animated, G1, Masterpiece, Cybertron, Titanium, or the Bay films would do.
  5. Nah... now, don't get me wrong. I like, nay, love the Miura. It is indeed a thing of beauty. But Lamborghini has become known for their angular, aggressive designs. The Miura is a gorgeous GT car that I'd takeover competitors from the day like the Ferrari 250 GTO, but against other Lamborghinis it seems a bit... timid.
  6. I like the ending, when it drives into the big cloud vagina. Subtle. I'm pretty sure I'd murder a few people I know. And I wouldn't even be picky about the color. In all seriousness, I think the Aventador might be my favorite Lambo since the Countach. I dig that the lines are more aggressive than the Murcielago or the Gallardo, without being as exaggerated as the Reventon or the Sesto Elemento.
  7. It seems like I always either really enjoy or really hate Stathem movies. I mean, I loved the Transporter films. I mean, they were just silly, stupid movies about Stathem getting pissed and beating the crap out of people. What's not to like, right? But then there's Crank... a movie about Stathem driving around while talking on his cell for two hours.
  8. I'm not happy. I didn't really want a lot of the Prime toys, but I wanted the entertainment pack. Now it looks l missed it without ever having a fair shot. They were never in stores around here, TRU doesnt have them online, and neither does Hasbro Toy Shop.
  9. Seconded. At least for edits 1-3.
  10. Transformers Prime: The Complete First Season, on Blu-ray and DVD March 6th. According to the sticker on the front, it's going to contain all 26 episodes. I was thinking that it might be like Animated, where the multi-part premier wasn't included, but now I'm glad I've dragged my feet on picking up the now-obsolete Darkness Rising release.
  11. So I went to the Walmart they opened right by my house... it was a tad underwhelming. For a grand opening, it didn't seem any busier than any of the other area Walmarts, and despite its newness it was only stocked with the same Dark of the Moon crap I've seen everywhere else. There isn't a scrap of Transformers Prime merchandise to be had around here, save the "Darkness Rising" DVD.
  12. Are they in the desert yet? I think around there. Let me get this straight... if I want make a movie about Chinese kids piloting a Gundam to keep the cast of Monsters vs. Aliens from coming to Earth, I'm not violating any copyrights as long as I animate it myself? What's more, apparently I get to copyright the finished product myself.
  13. The nice thing with that is that, depending one when you last played, it's a pretty different game. A lot of the main story episodes have been re-done with new, added objectives and even an occasional cut scene. The game is also a bit more streamlined. You don't have to run around looking for people to give you missions anymore. You can simplay hit the Hail Starfleet button, then click the Available tab to see what's there, or just enter a system to see if it has a patrol mission. Thing is, you can actually skip that, even. You will be hailed by the whoever has the next main story mission, which are to be completed in order now. The downside to this is that the game is a little more linear, but on the plus side the plot feels more coherent. The economy has changed a bit. Your primary currency is still Energy Credits. There's also Gold Pressed Latinum, of which I have one and have found no use for. There's Cryptic Points, which are how you spend real money on in-game stuff. Then there's Dilithium. Cryptic seems to think Dilithium is a big deal, going so far as to suggest that if you don't need it you can sell it to other players for Cryptic Points. I'm not so sure. See, the easiest way to get Dilithium is with the new Duty Officer system. Duty Officers are a collection of lower-level officers with a list of traits. You can send them on assignments by trying to match the needs of the assignments with their traits. Then you wait. After a period of time, your Duty Officer button will turn green, letting you know a mission was finished. Depending on the risk, they'll either fail, die, succeed, or critically succeed. I haven't had any die or fail so I don't know what kinds of penalties there might be. Success brings Energy credits, raw Dilithium, XP, skill points, and the like. Critical Success gives you more stuff. So by telling people to do stuff, then checking later to see if it's done, I've managed to collection around 3000 Dilithium without ever figuring out why I need it. I'm ultimately hoping to figure out how to sell it, then to amass enough that someone might give me 200 Cryptic points for it. I'm a tad peeved that you're forced to buy Cyptic points in bundles that are pratically guaranteed to leave you wtih leftovers after you buy what you really want (in my case, the Excelsior). I've got 200 points leftover, and 200 more would let me buy another ship and then be done with Cryptic points. You also seem to level up much faster, especially at lower levels. I started playing again maybe a week ago? I'm Commander (27). More specifically, I had just hit Commander on Monday, and I'm sure sometime today (Wednesday) I'll hit Captain. This is just from doing the main story missions, some patrol missions, and sending out Duty Officers. It seemed like the Lieutenant levels breezed by, Lt. Commander lasted a little longer, and Commander has lasted a little longer than that. While I think that means most players can rush to the top-tier ships pretty quickly, it does solve my earlier complaint that it was difficult to reach the higher levels without doing the exploration missions (which I hate) repeatedly, PVP, or fleet actions (even though the game is an MMO, I enjoy playing it mostly as a single-player game).
  14. It doesn't have a discrete card... but 6GB of RAM and a Core i7 processor will likely make up for that, unless she's doing really heavy Photoshopping. $650 this week at Staples. 15.6" 640GB hard drive, Harman Kardon speakers, and a dedicated number pad. Toshiba Satellite P755-S5390
  15. At least I can afford the crappy MMO...
  16. Oh joy. And they're opening a new one of the damn things less than a mile from me on the 23rd.
  17. Inspiron 6000? Silver, with XP, right? Use it as an excuse to get something with Windows 7.
  18. For that matter, we're on a message board that routinely imports countless toys, videos, games, etc from Japan. Why is it ok to spend money if it's going to Japan, but it's not ok if the money goes to China? If it makes you feel any better, their California branch seems to operate fairly independently from the Chinese HQ, including scoring a few projects on their own. Or, for extra happy good feelings, remember that the game is free to play now (or Tuesday). You can play the game without spending a dime on it. I canceled my sub back in October (because I didn't think I was playing enough for it to be worth it and knew it was going to be F2P, not because I have anything against Perfect World). Seems I can't totally avoid paying money to Cryptic/PW, though. The Akira's fine if you're playing Escorts, but if you're playing Science or Cruiser, you're going to want to spend real money for one of the other ships. I plan on buying an Excelsior when I get home from work tomorrow.
  19. I'm being selective, but mostly because I'm not big on the movie-derived designs. If I can find that Optimus-Megatron two-pack, there's a fair chance it'll be the first and last TF Prime toy I buy.
  20. Perfect World bought Cryptic from Atari in May 2011. They're Chinese, with their HQ in Beijing, but they apparently have an office in Foster City, California. They specialize in MMOs, inlcuding one named Perfect World. Runic is supposedly working on a Torchlight MMO, and Perfect World is supposed to publish it.
  21. I'm playing again too. I loaded up my rear admiral, flew around a bit in my Prometheus, and was a little daunted by everything that changed. So I decided to to start over. Still playing Federation, but I'm an engineer instead of tactical, and I'm flying cruisers instead of escorts this time. I know that if you had stuff that is considered "premium" now you have to convert your toon to a F2P unless you remain a subscriber. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that I still have my preorder bonuses and my Collector's Edition bonuses, though.
  22. Really? That's odd. I set my network up to use OpenDNS at the router level, since I didn't feel like changing the settings for the multiple computers I've got lying around. I haven't had trouble with any of my connections.
  23. If there's a way to do it, I'm not aware of it. And if there's a way to do it, it can't be any easier that connecting your PS3 to the internet.
