  1. Valkyrie Hunter D,

Would parts from a 1/60 Roy VF-1S Strike work? I need to know if there is even enough demand to warrent me buying a new 1/60 and parting it. I don't have a single 1/60 at all now.

Sure, a VF-1S Strike would work. The parts I'm really interested in are the previously mentioned mounts for the fast pack boosters. I'm only hoping that there is enough demand for 1/60 parts. Anybody else out there need some 1/60 parts?

  2. Neova,

Could a fast pack equipped 1/60 be dismantled for your service? I lost a set of mounts (used to connect the fast pack boosters to the backpack) while making some customs and I can't seem to find them anywhere. :(

  3. I was gonna buy Record of Loddoss War for DC. They wanted $39 used at gamestop, ran low on funds that day. Got paid the next day went back and it was sold  ! It looked like Diablo but was it as good, anybody played it?

Yeah, this game is basically a Diablo clone (without all the mouse clicks) with a Lodoss War setting. The story is totally separate from any of the events in the anime, but it does add some interesting background info. If you dig Lodoss War and Diablo, this game is definitely worth a look.

  4. A little off topic but how does Aero Elite: Combat Academy stack up against ace combat series, Delta strike or any other flight sim/game?

    Ed

Comparing Aero Elite vs. Ace Combat is like comparing apples and oranges. Aero Elite is the closest you'll get to a flight sim on any console. While not as meticulous as any top grade PC flight sim, it features a lot more realism than in all the Ace Combat games combined. Training missions in AE may seem mundane, like performing a successful barrel roll, loop, etc., but it does pay off after playing a lot of AC (where flight physics just go out the window). Graphics-wise, Sega's AM2 division did a bang up job with the plane models (I think they were even assisted by the JSDF), but Namco's renditions are just a tad better. However, AE does allow you to pilot helicopters and Harriers, something the AC series has yet to feature.

AC, on the other hand, gives you really pretty planes with a truckload of missles and bombs to blow crap up. You can't go wrong with that (ignore Lethal Skies, Top Gun, etc.).

Anyhoo, they're both fun games, just on different levels.

  5. These guys are already on the list, but I've just had some recent transactions with them, so many thanks to:

Major Tom (excellent packaging, books came in pristine condition!)

Monkey-N (kits are in great shape)

singtao (great deal on a yammie strike, and a pleasure to deal with!)

  6. BTW, in the new INNOCENCE book is the main picture of the Macross cast that overlaps the entire back of the Mikimoto box. Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary hardware to provide a high-res scan. Perhaps someone who does can track down a copy of this book? In the meantime, I'll try to get a scan myself from some other source (Kinko's maybe?).

  7. Does the Innocence book feature any new Mikimoto Macross character art or is it just reprint's of his older work that is already available in other books?

    Graham

The Macross pictures from Innocence are not in my older Mikimoto books. They seem to be illustrations from magazine covers, video game ads/cases and CD covers.
