I dunno...ImaginAsian TV is also committed to addressing the need for more positive Asian images and role models in the media.
POSITIVE!?!?! Why they heck do we need more POSITVE entertainment?!?
Oh boy, I am not sure if this is what one considers a positive image...
What the hell is THAT?!

Ooh, on other Front Mission news:

Love this game. I just went throught it for the second time, and getting a "S" rating from that huge LEV vs OF battle was a lot easier with homing missiles equipped!

The biggest improvement in terms of gameplay is the new link system which allows allies to back you up with support fire as long as they're within range and have enough Action Points. This was only a randomly activated skill in FM3, but now enemies and allies can use this to their advantage on the battlefield.

crap, forgot to mention/ask:
I can't remember if they had this in FM3, but if you have a Wanzer equipped with a repair pack, he can fix/replace missing limbs. It's extremely helpful and a really cool feature. Was this in FM3 as well?
FM3 had the repair pack items as well.

Just got the demo. Niiice. I've already played through all the missions, and yes Drew, there is a hidden mission (it has your party storming through fortress walls). It seems like the option to eject out of your wanzer and use enemy units (tanks, choppers, turrets, etc) has been left out. It'd be a whole lot better to have more options like that if ever a pilot is left defenseless (once both arms have been blown off, your wanzer is nothing more than a roadblock). Otherwise, the game is a blast, and I can't remember the last time being excited about a game's release.

(Jack Nicholson's Joker was pretty damn good)
To each his own. I think Jack's Joker sucked. The Joker is a tall lanky guy. Jack was short and fat. The Joker is sinister, yet humorous. Jack just kept trying to his devilish eyebrow arch.
Who, IMHO, would've made a better joker?
Jeff Goldblum.
But that's just me.
True, Nicholson surely didn't have the body for his role (arguably neither did Keaton), but as far as playing an insane homocidal maniac, I think he pulled it off nicely (mmm, I'm having Shining flasbacks). As for Schumacher, ugh, I just pretend his Batman movies don't exist.

You didn't like the Burton/Keaton Batman flicks?
I thought the first one was the best one of them all (Jack Nicholson's Joker was pretty damn good), but it could've been a lot more. I think it was just that I couldn't get past Mr. Mom being the Dark Knight.

He certainly looks grim in that cowl. Wow, what is tingly feeling? Could it be hope? Hope for a Batman movie to finally kick ass on the big screen?

I've seen used copies of the game go for $10, and its worth it for that price. Yeah, its a little short, but its just a check your brain at the door blast-a-thon. Swanky cutscenes too.
As for the figure, I'll take some pics of mine when I get back home today.

Ahhh Gungrave-great blind, mindless, violence AND the ability to pose after firing a volley of death. I had fun with the game when it first came out, and the show looks promising. Has anyone checked out the action figure yet? I think its one of Kaiyodo's finest works.

PS---want a nice diecast Super Flanker with moving flaps, rudders, brake, canopy? From what I've read, they're well worth the price. And it is a Flanker, so it'd be as big as a 1/60 VF-1, if not larger.

(they are about the only US-distributor, much easier to find in Hong Kong AFAIK, always sold out because everyone wants a Super Flanker)
They also have a few other variants--Su-27, Su-34:

PPS--yes, their site takes a little while to load, but it's nice once it's up, good pics of every model (they take their own), and I've bought from them before. Flankers sell out so fast, ebay might be a better choice, especially for the -35.
Gawd, I've been waiting so long for that Su-35 to be back in stock. There seems to be something off with the sculpt that I can't put my finger on just yet, but it still looks great. Besides, its probably gonna be the only die-cast Su-35 in the market for a while...

Dunno how old they are, but I've seen one on Ebay with an equally ridiculous price on it:
SDF-1
If they were cheap enough, I wouldn't mind picking one up for some kitbashing.
