  1. eBay's your best bet to get the game, or try a google search and sift through the links for a seller. FAIK, the boot disks work. Good luck, and happy hunting.
  2. I think they're called ventrals. But I could be wrong.
  3. Well, there's the R1 AnimeIgo 9-disk SDF:Macross, as well as the new set coming out in Australia (I can't remember which company is releasing it, but I guess it's the same restored, subbed footage that AnimeIgo did). Other than that, there are no other official english language-subbed SDF: Macross DVD's out there, and ther are no official English-Dubbed sets at all.
  4. Although I love the Stampy design, I'm not terribly fond of the Gundam colors. But that's just me.
  5. IIRC- The Stampy appears in either the Macross Skull Leader, or Macross: Remember Me warfare strategy games. Go HERE to look at the games. I've never found any .roms for these (or for that matter, an emulator for the PC880 that works on my Mac), so I haven't had the chance to play them. But they look pretty cool, though.
  6. Hilde Hilde, come in here Hilde. What is it Dr. Heimlich? I have invented a maneuver! It's rather more of a gesture right now!
  7. All I did was click on the link above and it started automatically on a pop-up window... took a while to start though... Whenever I click on that link it takes me straight to HERE.
  8. It might be because someone created a new member name, in this case "God", in order to further the joke. Having more than one member name is against the rules, although I'm not sure if it's written down.
  9. It would kind of suck if I was the guy who crashed the MW forums, eh?
  10. Ummm... what's a Morrich? Could someone guide me through that link to the new trailer?
  11. The game is afoot.
  12. OK- Here's the deal: This thread is to post discoveries of Macross sight gags, cameos and other tidbits and then discuss, argue and debate if it is actually a sight gag or not. When referencing a potential sight gag, cameo or otherwise, please include the timecode and, if possible, screenshots, which I will link to in the appropriate place. I will keep a log below, and edit in any new information as it crops up. So, without any further ado: SUPER DIMENSION FORTRESS MACROSS* Episode 1: Booby Trap Timecode: Unknown When Hikaru flashes back to Fokker in a replica biplane, the plane has "Kawamori" and "Haru/Hal" written on it. ("Hal" is how Haruhiko Mikimoto often signs his work.) Episode 12: The Big Escape/Big Escape (Protoculture) Episode 13: Blue Wind (Return My Home) Episode 14: Global Report/Growbal Report Episode 15: China Town Timecode: Unknown "Sex-valk"- What appears to be a very Roy-looking CF pilot with either a Misa-looking girl, or Misa-pinup in the beck of the valk, with the words "SEX" or "SEXY" (with a stylized "Y" made from the symbols for man and woman) underneath the cockpit and on the nose of the VF. Episode 36: Fly High/Yasashisa Sayonara The rest of the Macross productions will be added soon! *special thanks to the Macross Compendium for providing the episode titles.
  13. I hadn't heard that, but I definitely wouldn't discount the possibility. The problem is that the movie faired poorly, especially in the crucial North American Market, which normally has to do well to justify a sequel. edit:spelling
  14. Yummy. I hope Geneon does a good job with it. I like the work they've done as Pioneer Video.
  15. On one side I can see Speilberg being as faithful to the book as possible- Keeping the same setting, time and plot, but obviously adapting it for screen. One the other side I can see him screwing it up, too. Let's hope. Hope, hope.
  16. Ack! How could I have missed that about the proportion! I think at the time I was more concerned with capturing the likeness of the helmet. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for the advice TWDC. To learn for my mistakes is one of the reasons I wanted to post. If anyone else wants to play with the image as well, feel free. No prob, Bro. That's what I'm here for. I sense great potential here, so you'd better keep up the good work!
  17. "Rectum" and "Mango"? What's wrong with those? Let's Danth!!! Welcome to MW. Good luck on those Valks. They're pricey when you find them!!!
  18. In WWII, why did grunts gets Garands and higher ups get Tommy Guns? Give the less costly machine to the inexperienced pilot. Also, people with combat experience and high training are generally considered more valuable the newbies, so they're provided with stronger defensive capabilities.
  19. Yeah, the more I look at it, it is a pin-up. I've duplicated and zoomed in on the image. I've shown the poster's outline in BLUE and the curve of the back of the cockpit/canopy in RED. What else clues in that it's a pin-up is that the top of it is uneven, and doesn't even closely reflect what the cockpit's lines should be like. Plus, the character itself looks like it's meant to be 2- dimensional.
  20. Agreed. Snap Kits are designed to be glueless. Whereas these older kit, which do have connecting pegs and slots, were never meant to be glueless kits.
  21. Good job, but the proportions are off. The forehead is too low (or the face is too big). Remember that the eyes are normally in the middle of the face, so if you work out the physiology, technically the guy's head should be going through the top of the helmet. Otherwise, nice job. The coloring is also well done. Why don't you go back and re-work the head in pencil and then sketch the helmet up around it? I would provide a few examples right now, but I'm at work and I have no drawing programs on this crappy machine.
  22. http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/macross.htm Right you are, Ewilen. You get a prize.
  23. The more I look at it the more I think that's supposed to be a photograph or pinup plastered the inside of the guy's canopy, and not an actual girl.
  24. C'mon everyone, sing along!!! "Sexvalk, sexvalk! You're a sexvalk! You can give it to me when I need to come along Sexvalk, sexvalk! You're my sexvalk And baby you can turn me on turn me on darlin' Sexvalk, sexvalk! You're my sexvalk, sexvalk! You can give it to me when I need to come along Sexvalk, sexvalk! Your're my sexvalk! And baby you can turn me on!"
