  1. Well, sometimes "extra" things aren't always good. *cough* lit-up heads *cough*
  2. It's funny you bring this up. I had my 1/48 for a month. The other day I decided to apply stickers (I only applied ones that mattered the most... not all).. Anyway, I didn't use my originals, either. I used the Kata-toys ones. Man, they're really cool. They're not as thick and shiney as the cheapo's that it comes with. They stick better (even in rounded places they curl). If you press hard enough they get into the cracks and gel well with the plastic on the toy (not as good as decals, but pretty damn good). They're VERY worth the prices. Besides, just like someone mentioned, it comes with enough to dress up a few valks. Cutting them out is no big deal. X-acto blades work great and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. (of course, this is coming from a non-model builder)...
  3. Thanks, guys. However, if the removable nose will be "useful" for the 1/48's; then how are they going to manage it for the "upcoming" 1/60 GBP armor? Are they gonna equip the armor with a hacksaw? Riddle me this, batmen...
  4. What's the purpose of the removable nose cone? (1/48, obviously) I mean, it's not like it's all detailed in there once you take it out; it's just a little black plastic thingy... in fact, I'd rather have it non-removable -- cuz I remember the thing kinda coming off during transfomations. Am I missing something here?
  5. Yes, not to say the 1/60's don't have detail; they do. However, the 1/48's are better engineered, more tight (in ANY mode) and overall, they're just solid in almost every aspect. If a 1/60 is stress, then 1/48 is chronic. With a 1/48, you'll KNOW where your money went.
  6. Collection aside, GET A Yamato 1/48 -- it's a must-buy. It's the most awesome thing I've ever held in my hands since my first experience masturbating. 'nuff said.
  7. Does anyone know how much this will be going for? I imagine about $60-$70 (ie 1/60)...
  8. Can someone answer my questions: 1) What causes the toys to turn yellow? 2) If they're kept in a good, clean environment (excluding in box); will they still turn yellow? 3) I thought ABS plastic did not turn yellow. 4) What kind of plastic did they use in the old Takatoku toys?
  9. CID, take a photo.
  10. I missed that one! LOL!
  11. Blaine23, are you excited about your new Toyn---- *errrr*....Yamato purchase? (j/k)
  12. I thought this ABS plastic stuff wasn't supposed to "yellow"? What kind of plastic did they use one the chunky monkey old school valks?
  13. you, too! Don't know about your Oasis sig, though....
  14. Is the Feedback forum like THE PEOPLE'S COURT?
  15. I'm just curious, I'm not trying to start crap, but... Why is everyone in this forum so set on wanting to move topics around just because they don't stay on-topic or are too related to existing topics (pinned or not). Why don't we just let the chips fall where they may. Doesn't stuff always get out-of-topic? It's kind of aggravating, especially when there is some good information going. I hate going back on here finding out threads have been closed or moved for the stupidest reasons. I understand the diplomacy of this forum; but come on. Let's be a bunch of adults, and stop bitching about little things like: "This has been discussed and should be moved".... I mean seriously, don't you guys have anything better to do?
  16. I'd rather get the Bandai repro for $70 But then again, I'm cheap and not a die-hard collector. But hell, enjoy your new toy.
  17. Hurin, nice post. Blaine23, I hear ya.
  18. You have your opinion. That's cool. Toynami and Yamato both have their flaws... in fact, they're quite similar: - Yamato makes a good toy, but their boxes sucks. - Toynami makes a good box, but their toys sucks. Simple. So, why don't we just shake hands because this smells like a 50/50 deal. BTW, anybody interested in a MPC (Roy)? I'm selling mine for $25 (and let me know if you want the toy, too.)
  19. Tam is the best at packaging. He should really roughen up the MPC's, though. Maybe they'll fall back into place.
  20. I didn't take it personal at all. You asked. We helped. It's your money. Go ahead and buy the MPC... then you'll be taking it personal, too.
  21. Yikes, I edited my post! (to make it sound less sinister) But.. hehe I still stand my those words. I just hope the MPC guy ain't abombz...
  22. Where is he? I'd like to hear what he has to say. This MPC guy should try taking his MPC out of the box; maybe he'll change his mind. Or maybe, he's just a fan of flash-lights.
  23. If comparing the Toynami with Yamato, I have to TOTALLY disagree with this statement. Toynami's are soooooo badly made that I left mine in it's box. I couldn't even get the thing to stand. If you like packaging better than the product, then get the Toynami. Even if you can find a Toynami for $30, it's still a rip-off. $20, maybe.
  24. MPC = Macross Pile of Crap Go with Yamato.
