    VF Girls

yup bandai had a Valkyrie Lady model kit, i should know i got two :-p they were part of the Armored Lady line of kits that featured Gundam girls as well.
  3. im not sure at the moment i will have to go through my ship lists when i get home tonight. and ill post any ships for the 3 main races that need a design.
  4. i agree with lestat, very nice work keep it up.
  5. Okie Dokie, time for my thoughts on halo and halo 2. When Halo was first released, i was in the era of bandwagonism where "Microsoft is t3h Suck! and by relation so does this Xbox thing and all they do is buy out companies to make games yadda yadda yadda" soo i wasnt exactly first in line to purchase halo hell i didnt have an xbox. but after about a year my microsoft hatred died down and i got an Xbox and copy of halo for christmas, and so after the ceramonial "Rounding up of the paper for the trash man" i proceded to hook it all up and play. my decision was "why the hell did i hate this so much? God im a idiot" i loved the game, it was the first FPS i had played sence the days of GoldenEye and Perfect dark. To me this game was awsome, though the story lacked a little i loved the chaos and mayhem that was had in multiplayer and coop campaign. Then after some time the first Halo book came out Fall Of Reach, ofcource i bought the book, liked it alot, thought it definatly added too and improved the halo universe and added a bit more depth to the game. same with the second Book The Flood, and First Strike. they all answerd the how and why questions that i had wonderd about through out the game. Now ive picked up halo 2, the first and only game i have ever picked up durring a special sales event (when gamestop opend back up at 12:01 AM) and though i havent gotten that far into the game, i love how it mixes verry smoothly with the books, things like the prophets look almost exactly like the way i imagened they would. Now things like this may be a Meh kind of a subject to some people but when things like this Games books sequels and what not, all mesh togeather so smoothly and add that much more depth and feeling, that That is a real Turn on for me in the would of Media and a reason why i like this franchise so much. Now on to things like the uber hyping and over ratedness i place that blame soly on the fans and at the same time have to salute bungie. if you look, bungie ran a next to nothing Advertising campain, the most that was ever seen were screens and articles in gaming magazines. Now why is this good? well all this hype and expectation is based soly on the runaway imagination of the fanbase, leaving bungie to tell in articles what's what. Meaning that if the game is under par with a poor fans expectations that poor fan has no one to blame but himself, as bungie didnt ramp up all this hype fans did. Genius in the business world. now while im sure some of you get what i just said, ill bet there are some of you out there scratching your head going "what the hell is this moron ranting about?!" and thats okay i know i dont make much sence at times, and that has been pointed out to me on many occasions. (along with crappy spelling, Go Public Schools! ) Now as for the game its self I am quite happy with Halo 2, with the new assortment of weapons like the Covie carbine and sniper rifle the plasma sword (i love this weapon and always wanted to use it in the first Halo) along with the SMG duel wield ability (Goin old west style with 2 pistols) and the lock on ability for the Jackhammer Rocket launcher. I also really dig the Two Intertwining Story lines for the Master Chief and the Arbiter and while it is not a new concept (See Front Mission 4 and some other games i cant think of now) it is something that snaps in just right and is a very nice touch. and besides who wouldnt like going around Beating on things as an elite! Overall I really like this game and series. it comes across as verry Movie-esque or Feature-esque if you prefer. wich as i said earlier is a real Hook for me. But this is only one mans opinion. and i can only speak for my self. anyway i hope you enjoyed my $0.02.....nah make that $0.25 worth of rant
  6. if he's an enemy combatant, couldn't we just shoot him and call him a Casualty of war? just poking my share of fun... don't hurt me.
  7. Yes the Berkut has internal weapons bays, but im not yet sure about the MFI though.
  8. rapid prototyping is awsome, but all kinds of expensive and depending on the part it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for it to finish.
  9. okay im glad im not the only one who feels that it was a total waste of 30 minuets
  10. Thanks everyone for all your help. and as soon as i find a Charecter to use ill get to work, i dont think im going to a custom character ( a character like Misa, where a kit in the needed scale doesnt exist) maybe ill start with the Eva girls.... hmmm.
  11. Well technicly the UN Spacy, space force is concidered a Navy all be it a Space Navy, and Navy Tradition is Very strong so i imagin that they would have an ancor. But thats just me.
  12. Okay i just watched the first episode of The Super Milk Chan Show on adult swim, and i dont know what to think, my head hurts. anyone else see this and have any thoughts left?
  13. heh a mod of this size takes time, we are basicly creating a whole new game. and as soon as Stabbs starts work back up we will have much more in the way of updates with actual ingame items.
  14. i Bet he had a nice set of spinners too
  15. yaknow thats a pretty good idea, Thanks neova. Maybe ill get to work sculpting and make a Misa GBP-1, to go with that short comic thing. compleat with detatchable buttplate And i do think that the Thunder Hammer and the SDP-1 are sorly overlooked as well. heh now my creative juces are a flowin, im off to create!.
  16. well in the equipment range, all i can tell ya is what i have and that it works very well for me, i use a Testors AZTEC double action airbrush and an industrial strength workshop compressor, the reason i like this airbrush is it allows me to use most paints, including a well shaken bottle of Tamia paint to be used without adding thinner. Tips on airbrushing for the newb. If your just starting out and like me Suck to no end at brush painting i give you 2 sugestions. A. Continue practiceing at brushing (it definatly wont hurt and it'll come in handy when you get to the level of details such as advanced weathering and what not) B. Buy a 10 dollar Testors airbrush. this is what i used to learn the ropes. Glue Testors triangular Liquid dispenser is the best hands down, its all i use for plastic. (although i do use a special type of glue for my resin projects) small grain wet/dry sand paper is a must. i use squadron brand. i have yet to find a the right kind of putty for filling gaps squadron putty seems to suck, it cracks too easy and falls off. ( im in need of sugestions here too) and a sharp Hobby knife. now for the kits, i started building models when i was about 7 or 8 so ive been in the business for 12 or 13 years, still quite the amature to some of the folks around here, but because of my gung-ho atitude i jumped into the fray starting out with Skill level 2 and 3 Warbirds, most notable B-17s 24s and 26s as well as some P-38s 51s and 40s, and F-4U corsairs all made by Revell mongram and such companies readaly available at hobby lobby and toys R us, my only 2 hobby-ish stores at the time. but i would recomend these type of kits as they are nicely detaild and have a nice number of peices but over all arent too complicated to put together. now by no means is this all going to be exactly right for you, youll come up with your own methods (wich is why cost is a verry hard thing to predict trust me i know ive tried) anyway i hope this edition of T3h Maj0rz t0ta1y p0wn j00 sch00l of 1337 m0d3ling is of some assitance. in that one line i have now lost all credit as an inteligent being and the right to call my self human ............... so ill just call my self micronian and compleat the journy down the dark path of fanboyism. Thats my $0.02 im leaving now, its 4 am here, man i need a life
  17. alrighty, thanks everyone, for your help. now i have one last question, of any charecter from any of your favorite anime, who would you all most like to see as a ValkGirl and wich VF would you like to see A/J/D/S and maybe a 19 if i can find a suitable kit. (provide pic of lucky lady too please and you just may get your favorite Valk Girl Deliverd to your door )
  18. Okay, what figure scale ( 1/6 1/8 ) would stand around the same size/height as a 1/72 battroid? reason why i ask this is because i would like to try to make a few custom Valk Girl models using my favorite charecters and my surplus of styrene sheets and 1/72 model kits.
  19. while browsing around the net i happend to run across this, it kinda reminds me of the YF-19 with the way the wings sweep and such, but i think the 19's wings sweep in the opposite direction anyway here ya go. Switchblade
  20. having worked with maya for all of about 10 min i dont know much but ill take a stab at it, im gonna say that part of the Total animation code, in this case animating the knee joint of a battroid.
  21. That's because I'm generally unwilling to sacrifice many details, and I rely heavily upon the use of effecient LODs. ahh i see, well then i hope you didnt take any offence from my comment as i ment nothing by it really, it just turns out you both have different modeling styles
  22. wow, lestat, its hard to belive thats the VF-1 i sent to you, supream work. its almost hard to belive its mine :-p, and 1070 is awsome, Cdr Fokker was only able to get it down to 1300 or so
