  1. once you fill the gaps and shim it up. then its pretty easy to go back in and re-scribe the panel lines

Am i nuts? probably, but yes that is my full collection as of right now, no joke, and as for how many are customs... well id say at least 90 to 95% are customized in some shape or form. everything that isnt in an official squadron, has had a custom paint scheem, created by me, applied (with the exception of one YF-19 and 21 they have the project supernova scheems, or cream red and black for the 19 and blues for the 21)

  4. well due to the nature of the VF-1's Variable geometry wing, the pylons are specialy engineered to always be parallel to the fusealage. but the model doesnt have that mechanism :-p so my advice to you, and others new to adding munitions to the wing pylons is to bring the wings out to minimum sweep, and fit them as parallel to the fuselage, i have done both align to the "bumps" and Fuselage, and both configurations look fine to me so in the end its really up to you.
  5. Yeah that van would look good, but seeing that they probably wouldnt have a van like that on a carrier, ill reserve that for a land base dioramma sometime down the road.
  6. Hey thanks, those will be helpful. oh and just for the hell of it, would anyone be interested in a Flight Deck Kit display stand if i were to make it available? (now keep this in mind, it is the full prometheus flight deck, not a section, the whole deal.
  7. Does anyone know if there is a ground crew set made in 1/72 scale, or where to get one? Im currently working on a scale replica Prometheus Filght deck display stand for my 1/72 Hase Valks, and you cant have a flight deck without a crew thanks.

Alright i am an accomplished modeler but i really dont know how to correctly wash and weather a kit, and having pristine clean just off the assembly line Valks is getting rather old and boring. so what im asking, is if anyone can post, or point me in the direction of a good walkthrough or tutorial, and dun worry i have plenty of "Bastard Kits" to practice on, thanks in advance for the help.

I have to agree heavely with dave, you should definatly try your hand at a 1/72 F-14, if you can compleat it, and do well, then move up to a VF-1 kit. ive been modeling for around 13 years (im only 19 lol i started young first kit was a revell B-17) and even after my 972 some VF kits (Yes i said 972) i still concider myself a bit of an amature, i still dunno how to correctly Oil wash and weather my kits yes i know im sad, Dont hurt me. Anyway, if you have the patients to Build an F-14 and do it well when you really just want to build a VF-1 then youll be able to have the paitents to put together a hase VF-1 and end up with a very well done kit, and thats from personal experiance.

  14. I would like to place a request for the help of some good low poly 3D modelers, for the Macross, Homeworld 2 Total Conversion. And well with all the Obvious talent floating around here, I thought id put out a request. Its a good way to get your work noticed by alot of people, because yes, you will be put in the credits. anyway, if anyone wants to help out post here, leave me a message, contact me at PilotIsamu@aol.com, or on our Fourms (follow the link in meh sig). Ahh, Funny you should ask, I have plans to once the initial DYRL stage and campeign is done, to expand and move in to the Post Space War One era, (ala Flashback 2012) and eventualy up to the Macross 7 Era, 2040's and on, creating campeigns for each, and allowing you to pit any fleet style of your choosing, against any opponent, for instance the 7th fleet, Vs the Original Zjent armada, or DYRL Vs Varuta. (please excuse spelling). Of course that is a ways off, but verry possible with HW2's capeablities
  16. Actualy not that it makes much difference if both legs are gon, but i do belive (i am not sure so dont quote me on this) that there is a main reactor located in the main fuselage between the cockpit, and the "break point" fo transformation

Well once we get animations working, they are being a real pain in the asteroids sorry for the odd words, Anyway once we get Anims working, we will have the valks able to change through all 3 modes (2 for those like the VF-X-3 and SDP-1) and shoot down missiles and such. everything will match as close to Macross Physics and motion as possible

(<---HW2:DYRL Team Lead) Actualy im glad you said something, i was about to go on a huge recruiting drive for lower poly modelers, so we could get more ingame sooner, but not sacrafice quality of course If anyone wants to help out in the modeling/texturing area please E-mail me at PilotIsamu@aol.com, but please only do so if you are serious. And as for ever finishing this mod, it will be finnished, in the aspect that all effects and ships will be in. i will not let work stop on this mod no matter what. and that is my promise. anyway hope to hear from some of you modelers out there soon
  19. Yeah, Show me proof of where Nanashi has "Made Stuff Up". and where do you get the nerve to get after him for doing so, when you have no proof and you admit to making stuff up your own self. And as for referencing, Nanashi's site is still a super WIP (work in progress for those who dont know), and just because he has references DEFINATLY does not mean it accurate or even official. because 10 to .001 no one has actualy gone in and investigated his references citing where the information for an entry can be found. And WTF? Read it a weap, there is a big Fault in that entry, The Class name of the carriers docked to the Riviera, Hollywood, and so on WAS NOT DISCLOSED soooo that means IF it hasnt been disclosed what class carrier is docked with it then how can it be the Uraga class? IT CANT So Egans Entry is wrong, and the only people that can tell you what the Uraga's class is, would be Studio Nue or Kawamori him self, so please, unless you have checked all your facts, hush.
