I sat and re-watched Appleseed (after resolving a stupid issue with my surround system)... other than some real bad CG, most notiably the faces/shadows... the color contrasts were way way way out of wack... I've decided its definately in my top 10 anime movies. The combat sequences are just stunning :shock:

yep... and nope.... yes they can use the "donations" as a tax writeoff... but they can use it to counteract the income taxes paid on selling/releasing of videos. Its also a bit of good PR and potentially reviews coming out. News casters/reporters love those kind of things... especially if its a fund raiser for a big name/cause charity... Katrina relief? its gonna pull some press

da'ang.... wish I could easily drive there.... actually if they would hold "screanings" at all the major citys... hold them in Holiday Inn conference rooms for the Red Cross.... Holiday Inn could donate the use of the convention/conference rooms to the Red Cross and get a Tax writeoff... HG could give all proceeds to the RedCross and get a Tax writeoff... I could see the damn thing right down the street from where I live... I'd be happy

Actually, the PRV (Peugeot-Renault-Volvo) engine was very reliable by itself. It was one of the first few European engines to run 100,000 miles before its first tune-up. The whole problem was that DeLorean tinkered with it when he dropped it in his car. While I HATE obvious CG... I liked Appleseed... I look forward to Appleseed 2 and the supposed TV series in the works

finally broke down and watched the "trailer", if you can call it that.... what 23 frames (@ 30 fps) worth of video from RT:SC... not impressive, but some of the other animation they showed was pretty kewl

hehe, while I agree... the only set of "toys" I personally liked were/are the "super posable" figures made by Toynami. While not accurate to any level, they have a neet look/feel to them.

unfortunatly the Robotech hate is abound on this site.... not as bad as Macross 7 though I can believe that this thread hasn't been locked yet, most Mods either want the laugh, or avoid even reading the first thread on a RT topic.

I've been trolling around the internet looking for more information on the English Dub of Innocence that was released in England back in February.... any of you guys see it yet? Any rumors on a US release? The only things I know about about it is it was produced by Dreamworks (that is now sold), licensed to be sold by Manga Ent in the UK... the GitS SAC TV show cast was "chosen" to do the movie voices... details out on it are horribly vague

I prefer the Robotech ones (again looking at ALL the songs) Now if I just look at the Robotech Minmay songs.... ehF that crap... I prefer the Macross ones (again ALL of them)
