Oh another theory on the cocoon like things....possibly Leon/Grace's original plan is to grow their own Vajra brood with Ranka as queen to expand through the galaxy. Of course this is considered unethical blablabla and Kawamori will start spewing his green peace moral of story.

And according to Grace, you will eventually die. -Her symptoms of nausea, fever and chills are from the pill's effects itself, not the virus. -The Saotome house probably knows something we all don't yet. I'm sure old-man Saotome is some super secret researcher or something/someone who knows something.

This kinda made me thought...why doesn't the Quarter itself have a PPB at least on the exposed bridge? Its kinda strange that it didn't receive any hits (at least not shown) and yet doesn't have a PPB up on the most important part of the ship? Would the bridge be blown to bits if Ozma wasn't there?

I'll wait for subs of ep18 but i think that's incorrect about the witchcraft pills. It looked more like the pills aggravate the V-type virus that would otherwise be harmless to humans. The pill has nothing to do with Sheryl's abilities or lack off. Though it would seem her memories are fabricated by the GITS-like machine for her to maintain the diva-like personality.

I still prefer What Bout My Star in terms of the duet. LION's okay....but not quite showing the chemistry between May'N and Nakajima.

Does anyone remember at which point anti-ECA munitions were 1st used? During ep 7? I'm sure there were some gunpod kills but not very explicitly shown. And this ep Pixie Squadron is not deployed. Lack of manpower?

I lol-ed at the Adobe Illustrator text. Good catch! I was unable to watch it live due to stupid ISP connection but managed to download Horrible Raws and encode it into PSP to bring it to work and watch it the next morning. I was late to work because of this. - LION OP....i feel triangular is better despite what most ppl said. And the part whee Sheryl and Ranka sings and runs and gets their clothes "torn off". Macross II OP anyone? Guess its not quite the black sheep of Macross yet. - Battle 25 is shown on the radar screen but the captain shouts Battle Frontier.....guess both names work. - Grace...why are you so mean.....and to think u looked so cute and unsure of yourself in the Triangular OP. So Grace reveals that Sheryl will die soon but its not explicitly certain how and why. Some people have mentioned its cause Grace isn't giving Sheryl the pills but I don't think so. I think the pills are actually to provoke the V-Virus rather than cure it since it was revealed in one of the episodes that V is NOT harmful to humans but does cause animals like the Hydra to go berserk. My original theory stands that the V-type virus is actually a way for the Vajra to attempt communications with humans but due to them not understanding human biology or culture, it may have adverse effects. Its in animals like the hydra because they do not know which creature is the sentient one I suppose. Dr. Mao and team tried to perfect the V-type virus to tune it to humans but I guess something happened and 117th fleet was attacked....most possibly due to sabotage. Ranka somehow was the only one with the ability in the end. Makes sense considering Dr Mao is continuing Dr Aries' research on using virus to do funky stuff like speed up evolution etc. - What's the idea of them folding and stuff? Everyone seems to be excited that they will be folding....they even have a special FOLD OUT sales whatever that's for. - Cinderella's Horn. I wonder what's this proposal that Luca has for Leon and why the Vajra's attack has tampered with his plans to deploy it. - Did the episode reveal what Witchcraft 639 really does or are people just speculating that it supresses V type Virus? I thought V-type Virus is harmless to humans and the pill itself is what's causing Sheryl to go sick. - All munitions-based weapons are totally useless against the vajra. Sad to see the head lasers as usual do absolutely nothing to the enemy. Heck...don't think i've seen any gunpod fire take out the big vajras before in the whole show except in the Triangular OP.

So far supports my theory. Now about that birthmark....it still hasn't been mentioned.

Your theory and mine are fundamentally different so I thought i'd post on mine too before ep 18. I for one don't think ranka and sheryl are related to each other by blood relations nor is Ranka mistakenly swallowing Fold Quartz.

The problems i had with the contrails was it felt unsmooth and out of place. If it was smoke and not red/blue light trail might probably look better.

My theory is Ranka codenamed Q1 was brought up in the hope to communicate with Vajra and Sheryl is a failed experiment by Galaxy to communicate/control the Vajra.

Out for awhile and no one made a thread....thought no one cared. The video was awesome. I always envision an airshow everytime i hear that song though. The sheryl and ranka guard fighters part was really dodgy especially the colored contrails.....and why does it have to end with that not particularly quality scene of ranka and sheryl's duet? >_<

I believe that's Jay, from nico2. Another famous person on them video share sites. Has good voice range for a guy. If a guy had legs like that......i'll.....nvm. I've seen some crazy stuff on the internet that makes me confused.

Well...it was spiffy as you said. Much better than a diamond shooting lasers i reckon. And the sound and shrieking it makes is so awesome especially in a movie theatre! There were some shapes that looked like it fired a higher output of energy beam than it normally does. Well they did mention the half completed positron cannon was requisitioned from the JSDF so they had giant trucks to do it for them rather than use Unit 00 that was still out of commission at that point of time. The ESV came from nowhere.....guess its to sell toys. I wouldn't call the movie lazy with those parts but its afterall trying to fit in 4-5 episodes into a movie length format. I thought it did well with the pacing. Btw about the hand coming out to protect Shinji scene not used, it might be because there's a difference in this universe compared to the TV series. Shinji wasn't powerful enough to "oversync" with EVA-01 at that point of time nor was Yui's conciousness that obvious, until probably the events that led to the 3rd impact.
