  1. I got mine today....i crashed. Heh. I saw it for about USD94, and i thought "hell that's cheaper than the other places" so I got it on impulse.

I think, its not really worth it. I won't bring in about how Yamato is a small company etc into the picture, but really, the toy's a big lug of hollow plastic. I'm alright if a figure doesn't have die cast, but this toy feels so hollow that you can make it into a glorified coffee mug or as someone else put, a piggy bank.

Its cool, but I can't help but think of this toy's production costs and how low it might get. I like it overall, but the fingers on ball joints kinda bug me. They are loose and thus they kinda twirl around in weird positions. If the ball joints were tighter, it would've been cool. Milia figure, most ppl said why they didn't like it and I agree with them.

It definately could've been cheaper. If people are wondering to get the Q-rau over the MPC prime , get the Prime 1st.

Shall post some pose pictures soon.

  2. What I've always been curious about concerning that scene is where the heck is that on the SDF-1? That is a heck of a concentration of firepower afterall.

Somewhere on the hull...not really important since it can be anywhere? Its like the SDF-1 is peppered by destroids everywhere shooting from wherever they are.

I just remember the scene from DYRL where they showed destroids firing and then little missles appeared from the SDF-1s's chest area (seemingly from nowhere) and everywhere. Heh.

  3. Those Yammie !@&!(*@&. They just had to make a crappy assless Milia with the Q-rau so they can release a BETTER figure for it. Bah!

Well...at least this time people who were complaining about the great injustice done to Milia's bum will shout Hallelujah.

  4. Ooooohhhh! Tiiiiiifffffffaaaaaa! :o

    AGREED

    Vostok 7

I'm surprised that she could fit into the Q-rau in that pose....maybe paint her hair green and she'll look like Milia with an ass? (and rack even...)

  5. Is there a minimum requirement?  :p

i belive the minimum requirement to be a "real collector" is selling your car and 2 mortgages on your house to finish grabbing up 3 or 4 of every item. 3 for each mode in the glass box and 1 mint in box locked up in a bank deposit box (if they are that big).

While you're at it, I believe you'll have to pimp your wife and *unmentionable stuff that can get me crucified* your children as well.

  6. Heh....you made it sound like collecting Macross toys is an elitist's hobby. Well...not all of us have jobs or are working adults to come up with "pretty pennies". I guess I can't be considered a "real collector" since I only collect stuff that are VALUE FOR MONEY, considering I have limited cash and must think umpteenth times before I get a toy that people like you won't even blink to snap it up.

Why do people cry expensive? Because we're not "real collectors" and lack money to collect every single macross merchandise?

  7. im doing a 1/72 minmay guard with soft baby pink color scheme and cream decals.

got the idea when i first saw the hasegawa kit.

minmay has a concert in paris and there are her guards around, but what does she ride in to come to perform???

therefore i hatched the idea for the color scheme, with a VF1S two seater, with hikaru piloting the valk to send her to her concert.

hey, it's pink, gives it a feminine feel..

    lol

any suggestion for this? i would love to hear it as im still a modelling newbie

The color scheme sounds interesting and all...but would Hikaru pilot a PINK valk?!? LOL!

Besides, he probably has better things to do...like save the world or something then become a chaffeur.

As most everyone knows, I am working on the Armored Gerwalk for the 1/48 (yeah, if you can call it working - today was the first day I could actually devote a few straight hours to it). I'm also working on another armor conversion for the 1/48, but I am not at liberty to mention it at this time...

Can't wait! Any possibility of recasts when its done?
