Really amazing painting style

That’s awesome! Now we just need a painting guide.
I think you can go whichever color you prefer because they only exist in black & white in the Master File book. Anyway, metallic gun colors or grayish theme like mine will look great in my opinion. And if you want to be the most consitent, you will need to color match the bottom of the pod with the VF-31 wings color.
And color matching is the hardest part, I am still looking for a Tamiya spray can I need to bring the original pod to my hobby shop and have a look, probably AS-10 spray will be great match.

Here is the assembly manual for the Strike Canons pod
If you can't read the PDF, here are the pictures of the manual

@zzgundam010 I have made a small order of strike canons that will arrive in a few days, I have already put 1 aside for you in this batch, you probably can have 2 if you want. So don’t worry
I plan to make a second pre-order in HP plastic at the low price before putting it on shapeways.

I was browsing Shoji Kawamori design work book and was stunned by teh similarities with the mecha design sketches made for Eureka anime:

Thanks guys! @Lolicon, I totally agree with you, I would also add that there is something going on with its delta wings, they look perfectly shaped and sized on the 31A compared to the forward wings that looks oversized and gives the other variants a sense of being too large for the scale...
Additionally, I wonder how difficult would it be to find clear replacement canopies?

V1 armors were soo much better than V3 !

I'll take up that offer, heck is it possible to get the speaker pod direct through you and get the pins/screws needed?
The Speaker pod is somehow a special case, since it is composed of 2 parts materials, the plastic can be ordered through me, but the Fine Detail plastic part has to be ordered through Shapeways anyway. I am thinking of making the Fine Detail plastic portion in 3D printed resin instead but I had bad luck until now.
I have ordered a low quantity of strike canons for the end of the month in HP plastic smoothed, and I will dispatch these once I got them.

Nice looking one @valhary.
-
I have kept my A and B sets, and added a C set to my initial order.
I have discuss a little with Fext and it seemed that they were not close to their goal for production for the first round at 1st December. That's why I am pessimistic these armors will make their way to production n March, without some kind of aggressive marketing and advertising.

Ok, here are the rough prices:
-printed in Europe: 30 USD in HP plastic smoothed (unfortunately this would be a limited offer) and approx 10 USD individual shipping.
-printed by Shapeways in standard plastic: 40 USD, 41 USD smoothed add 5 USD shipping
-printed by Shapeways in Professional plastic (HP): 82 USD in grey or black add 5 USD shippingBecause I have to order large batchs, I won't be able to offer individual European prints, only by large pre-orders.
I am looking for better options concerning the European prints shipping, and a different sale model. So for now nothing is firm. I will let you know later if I can find a sustainable cheaper sale model.
-
That is it, additionally if you order through me, I can add all the screws and pins needed: 4 screws M1.7x6mm, 1x 1mmx10mm pin and 2mmx40mm tube

Got the “strike canon pod” (I love that name @wmkjr!) today in the smoothed black HP plastic. The quality of the smoothing process is really great compared to shapeways’process and I am very pleased with the whole model.
I noticed that in this second copy the dual canons were a tad too tight to slide in and out so I had to sand them a bit, otherwise everything else was perfect fit.
Next step would be to put it up at shapeways in standard plastic. I am still undecided for HP plastic, would you guys prefer to pay twice but getting it from shapeways locally or going through longer delays and additional shippings from Europe?

@Shizuka the Cat, I was looking at your links and I wanted to warn anybody looking at nin-nin game price, they are TERRIBLE online shop, in particular for pre-orders. In fact I have heard a lot of horrible stories I didn't want to believe until I did place an order myself and went into a hell with their customer service.
Putting nin-nin in your short list, and because they have the lowest price, seems like this is a recommended store. IT ISN'T! Please remove it

Have you tried the Neodynum magnets N52? That’s almost incredible how strong they can be.
For instance the small discs diam 5mm x height 3mm can hold 730g, that means that 4 magnets would hold easily a 2L bottle of coke!

This VF-1S looks great in cavalier-lowvis version
-
They could probably do that if the valks were wearing out and thrown away every year (or even every 3-6 months for kids)
I can’t imagine how much more Nike shoes are sold than bandai’s gundams, not even trying to compare to Arcadia’s valks

Hi Jasonc, it looks like it still needs an additional clear coat to obtain a great finish -or the focus on your camera was a bit off-. Otherwise it can also be a great base color for red painting.
In the mean time, I have been lazy with my painting, pretending that I had to wait for the second V4 fins to install on my white VF-9 but managed to pose it kicking Kung Fu.

Depends if the stickers are applied or not: is it the premium equivalent or standard blank version ?

It really bugs me a LOT, I already have prepared a pilot replacement for that! But considering Hikaru is like 1m60 in the serie, it makes sense in a way. I just hope that if Bandai release Roy's VF-1S that he will be in the correct size "Hikaru-overhead"
