Since they are both unlike modern jets at all. I would go with the 21 since it looks more aerodynamic, not that they both are.
Say again?

Annoyance noted: While they gave MP TC a black nose, they left his v.stabs blue. IMHO the black stabs are more important than the nose. Both are equally "unrealistic" so there's really no point either way NOT to have as much black as possible on him.
Fact: Black on TC is *just* as important as purple is on SW. Go check, there's a perfect correlation between the two (depending on your reference). SW is black with purple, TC is blue with black. They share silver in the same areas, but SW's "most important accent" color is purple, while with TC its black---but people tend to overlook the black on TC for some reason.
MP Skywarp has black 'Verts' where as on the original they were purple. It looks like a straight color swap just like
MP Skywarp. That and black paint cough-Krylon Fusion-cough is quite cheap.
Just keep breathing David, it'll be okay...

The poster and the actual toy don't seem to match at all. I will need much better pics before I decide if he's in G1 toy colors or not. The shade of blue is acceptable, but I can't tell if he's metallic or not.
I've "Pixel Dove" the image below and it looks on the metallic side to me.
Especially along the side and nose of the jet.

I dare say Has/Tak has a pretty serious theft issue going on then.

Len_d69 is that leader class Bulkhead you have in the group shot?
Yep that is the leader sized Bulkhead.

I would like to wait until the second run. My question is Yamato going to make a second run with a the Black Anniversary colours? I still have the fast pack 1/72 version and still like it but if I am going to wait for the QC to iron out on the second run I would rather have a different paint apps
A lot of the QC concerns posted here so far have been either very minor or user error due to
not reading or not being able to read the instructions (Non Parvez lou Japanese?).
I noticed the "Caution Points" when Graham posted a copy of the instructions, and boy I am
thankfull I did because I would have decorated a wall with mine by now If I hadn't.
IMNSHO This item is so crabby because of the "It's gotta be slimmer than an annhorexic model"
tantrum the fandom/buyership threw over the last few years. About 5mm of body depth could
have made a hell of big difference in how fiddly it is.

I have "Earth Version" Animated Megatron and he is the Bee's Knees. Excellent toy all around despite his
apparent simplicity he has a lot complexity under the hood. His rotors are interlinked by some gearing
and his cannon has some nice gimmickry for the firing mechanism. Hell even his rear landing gear is clever.
The only short comings he has are that his arms are a bit on the simple side when it comes to transformation
and he is a tad "knock Knee'd" due to how his legs lock together to form his tail boom in egg-beater mode.
Most importantly he is fun. Fun from his scowling faceplate to his red toed slag kickers.
Egg-Beater:

The "delimiter" is the "Safety Overide" Guld activated well before he jettisoned the shattered remnants
of the mecha's limbs. Not to get "All Hintgen" on you folks but jettisoning the limbs does not "de-limit" anything.
It lowers the mech's weight but it pretty much wrecks the aerodnamics of the YF-21.
You can see it all in this footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHQGUmJgoBE...feature=related

There you go Yamato - this is the kind of confidence you inspire in one of you most diehard customer; even before your product release. Now go find a QC guy or factory employee to murder or something.
Bob
That will be quite enough of that!
Such dangeroud diatribe is wholly unacceptable.
Pretty much since the '51' series everything has been aces from Yamato. I'm sorry you can't
seem to handle this simple change of events. Now go throw your little tantrum elsewhere and leave
the grown-ups in peace.

Watched that episode as well. Anyone else get the feeling that the mystery blue car is going to end up becoming Blurr?
Yeah, it's a safe bet: http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Blurr_%28Animated%29

I'd just like to restate that Dlx Movie Brawl rocks. Fixing the shoulders is quite simple, and just like Dlx vs Ult Concept BB---I think the Dlx one looks better than the leader.
PS---Deep Space Starscream at Target.com, says it ships in 24 hours: http://www.target.com/dp/B00102V2ZY/ref=t_th_em_is
David, do you have leader Brawl?
Because the Leader sized lives up to the design art way better than his deluxe lil buddy.

Just got back from Botcon.
The most important thing to relay is that
OMFGWTFBBQ!!!11 Classics/Universe Cyclonus looks sweet!
-
He's a passenger jet with a hump. That narrows it down a LOT.
I think the new Octane looks a like one of these in plane mode:

I wonder if the toy has the right articulation to "tiltwing"?...

On the various forums there's about 50 posts screaming that TFA Blitzwing is a Voyager and always has been, and another 50 screaming just as passionately that he's been downgraded to a deluxe. I'll wait until we get a Wal-Mart or Target price listing.
Though if he has been downgraded, that'd both explain everything AND suck. We all know he needed just a little bit more to be awesome.
::edit:: New pics, less suck: http://www.actoys.net/bbs/read.php?tid-260118.html Plus, other known Voyagers for size comparison. Tank mode's definitely mis-TF'd. Does the owner not realize there are big hinges in the wings for a reason?
I too hope he is a Voyager but all the lists from sources more reliable than the fan base have listed as a Deluxe.
But I do agree we will see what's up when the time comes. And to give them props to squeeae all that into a
deluxe is some pretty fine work. That c'mon folks, he even has the Belt Pouches, what's not to love (except for
the obvious treads in jet mode).
I completely agree about the wing hinges, it's pretty damned obvious.
Here is the design art that made the rounds. By the looks of some of the finer details of the design the initial
concept was very likely a Voyager. I'm going to Botcon this next week, I'll pass along the intel as I get it.
-
TFA Blitzwing is a Deluxe.
You guys have seen the cartoon right?
The treads swing back and turn 90 degrees to sit more flush with the body and the rear
parts fold some more to be a flatter tail. The pic shows litterally the mid point between
the two alt-modes. I dare possibly the ugliest mid point at that. For a deluxe it seems
to be pretty ballsy, especially considering how well it sticks to the animated design.
I will cetainly be touching it up with a fine tip gundam pen. That beige drowns a lot of nice
details out on the mold.
And yes I am a fan.

Don't forget the basic facts of fandom.
"If it exists, we the fanbase must bitch about it's imperfections..."
I really think this 1/60 version is the best design to be had if you take out the
nigh toxic levels of Anime Magick that was cast on the Yf-21's limbs and head
in battloid mode. They are in most line art too big to work no matter the scale.
-
I forget where I have that scale drawing of the different Macross mecha, but the Destroids
were always short and stocky compared to their transforming kin.
-
The "Hentai Mech" is called the "D-D". It's a military variable mecha.
I has a nuclear power core/charge it will detonate as some sort of
"Spoil-sport" protocol. The D-D is of russian manufacture IIRC.

I have Leader Megs (Earth Mode) and his cockpit/backpack is not removable (least not without a screwdriver...)
Nor does it open. I does however light up in copter mode.
