The DX articles are from Hobby Japan. I suspect in a couple weeks we'll see this new updated posted too.

    https://hjweb.jp/article/tag/title_19/

oh i had remembered previously figure king issues featured macross so that came to mind.

but now you mentioned it the fonts for the steps (circled) look the same as HJweb.

On the web looking at hints of the HJ january 2024 issue though, there is specific gundam kits, kamen rider etc..no macross...
unless its in the february issue...?

cos i want to catch the HMR 0A as well as it seems the 0A has a presentation spread too...

  2. from what i google translate...

    1) unlock button to jettison the legs..

    2) for the shoulder and arm, the die-cast metal connecting parts are unplugged separately from the frame parts which i think will be plastic.....thats one connection that would be a potential long term break if not handled/pulled out of the slot, properly...

    3) delimited mode the panels will be painted grey...

    4) fake gunpods included since a true transforming gunpod, height-wise, would require a larger wheelbase cavity which would eat into overall fuselage slimness...

There are 4 black dots on the back,  almost in the same area were Yamato YF-21 attachment points are. I guess this could be the attachment points for the fold booster.

Ah .... are those were part of the panel line designs? not sure if they are actually notches....

Am I the only one that thinks the top of the chest is too long front to back and really hideous?

You're not the only one. Yamato really did a great job on their YF-21.

so thats what the belly plates are for...to hide yamato's skinny legs from the side!😄

i suppose the question to ask is do you want a stylish thick battroid legs? if so, then we will have to put up with the thick front to back backpack.

If there was a mechanism to squash the backpack tight to the torso would be nice, but looking at the one-piece backpack top i dont see any such mechanism..

It should come with fast packs and pin point barrier punch effects.
But where are our fold boosters?!

^this! doesnt look like there are any slots on the top fuselage for mounting any fold boosters...🤔

i suppose delimited mode parts were meant to make up for a lack of fold booster?

One thing I never understood is why the missile pods are in that chosen color. They look quite out of place to both the 0S & 0A colors, & reminds me of my worst yellowed white plastic toy. :p

on the bright side, it cant yellow anymore??

well orange is easy to spot in an ocean...maybe when the plane crashes into the sea or they jettison the pods and want to pick them back up..

pure unadulterated speculation abt fictional aircrafts. :unknw:

Bandai's Ghost sculpt is slightly different from Yamato's, in that there are tiny intake slats at both sides of the top hull, whereas Yamato's appear to be missing those. So Bandai's appears to be closer to the line art here.

Pretty surprised it is only Yen 2,000 more for the Ghost & all its associated parts, so that is somewhat positive news?

Bad news is that Bandai looks to be (unsurprisingly) sticking strictly to the anime. It is unlikely the Ghost being given integrated landing gears when the main valk doesn't, so perusing the parts list doesn't reveal any additional plug-in gears. Tellingly, there isn't any additional sensor pod to plug to the top of nosecone for the Ghost to be displayed on its own.
There's no way to know yet, but at this stage I wouldn't be surprised if Bandai will not even make the front canards movable to switch between standalone & integrated 'Angel' mode.

Edit: Pic below shows the Ghost canards on its down position, so they don't doesn't appear to be movable.

Nice observations on the ghost! But this is a HMR so i wouldnt expect much from a HMR add-on..🤭

besides the HMR ghost looks a bit.....purple...😁

Certainly as a exclusive, likely a Milia version to be paired with the 0S Max.

From the prototype it definitely looks like the 0D route.

Tenjin was involved in the 0D colour fixing. I wonder if they'll call him up again for it?

Not sure on tenjin-san's involvement in every valk release, or maybe it was just for the 0D.

The 0A color is not common in macross valk-dom, like a light grey but a tinge of light blue.. i love my arcadia 0A, because its color scheme is a like a military naval color unlike other 1/60 valks. Closest maybe i can think of is the 31A, but the 31A is more a pure shade of grey...maybe there are others but i forget...

@Saburo 's pics from back in the day..

I hope bandai does have that specific production color palate in the 0A HMR...else no biggie....😅

The modex numbers on the ventral fins look backwards (again).  They'd read "113" (or IIE, really) in fighter mode...

Rather than fix it, Bandai will just issue "113" tailfins down the line...

And it's not even a mirroring thing---it looks wrong on every side of every fin.

Bandai likes to play the 'this is just a prototype, will we fix it or wont we' game...

in addition to the 'is this the actual color for the release version' game...
