i suspect now that the noise abt the movie needs to be maintained, so that they-who-shall-not-be-named will be able to continue justifying their licensing fees. There has been quite a number of RT merch announcements coming out lately from HK toymakers..

+1 for the reminder of my lovely kampfer... As for the regult, i would prefer if they should have a clear canopy so you can see in the cockpit instead of the leg parts. Will hold on to my moolah till i see reviews of how they handle the joints and stuff..

Well if its under RT, thats most likely. Its not official that its going to be F-14's, but since they are diecast aircraft manufacturers and it was teased before in wonder festival, it probably would be F-14s.

We will see whats to be released, but in calibre's fb page they originally listed the weathered f-14/vf-1's under the macross album. So any mention of RT may indeed be for increased international coverage. It is what it is. Am sure everyone knows the issues. Am not sure if am down for it, but if there is a weathered release, that may be a big plus. Points to note; - cal wings deal in diecast and jets of course aren't transformable. - Cal Wings panel lines/thruster nozzles/details are top notch, but there have been fit questions on the canopy/armaments and glove veins on early vf-1 releases. Depending on how much a stickler you are, you might consider them minor or major issues. On mine, the issues are there but only if you look purposely for it. Cal Wings however have promised to improve any issues moving forward. - They aren't that cheap but slightly cheaper/around bandai's frontier DX MSRP releases. Traditionally not cheap via AMI/HLJ doesnt even carry em. But it seems they are working out a distribution channel for it. A part of me am wondering, if they are under a RT label, how much to wager on a die-cast legioss?

Maybe rely on masking techniques instead? Am not a customiser so yea I don't know if there is or not a need to break open the toy... you might want to consider applying lots and lots of decals tho like this guy ... yums! Always felt the armor pieces shld have warning labels on em, since they do explode!

You are probably right. Just waiting for the next DX annoucement. Annoucement shld be late this month/early next for the christmas DX, no?

Opened a thread in the others anime section, as calibre wings announced a collab for robotech. Mods since am not sure what they are announcing, maybe to shift this thread to that section? Initially i guessed this would fit in the toys section cos the initial tomcat custom was more a macross mention by black aces/calibre wings rather than robotech.

Black aces vf-1 diecast macross tomcats recently were customised calibre wings F-14s. And they displayed weathered tomcats in their FB page recently. I wonder if they are gonna release weathered F-14s in macross livery. They added a date 20th july together with the annoucement post on fb. So perhaps there will be more details on wat will be released then. Hold on to your wallet folks its gonna b a bumpy ride!

Hopefully it can cos always liked the look of a shield at the back.. With super pack boosters on the wings tho, i dont see a way a deplyed radome can open even with wings pushed out, as the boosters take significant space. This as well as the radome over the head will have to wait and see i guess...i cant remember seeing that anywhere for chuck..

Well i just shipped my spartan that was in PW with HLJ. Funny thing was, i got notification the next day after i placed my order that my shipment was paid, and i didnt go thru any further payment process steps! I did pay for a gundam kit last week using the new credit card option. I thk once you use the credit card option, HLJ automatically bills the card the next time, and you dont need to go thru a payment process again. Convenient but spooky in some sense too(prob to HLJ's credit as the customer has no chance to change their mind at the very last step). Will see the credit card bill at the end of the month and everything hopefully shld tally...

That there is the iconic chuck pose, partly also because the rest of delta squad didnt have as much action as hayate/messer So the count is 1 platoon of DX valks with supers and another platoon without?.hahaha...*ahem* Speaking of chuck, I have been wondering if his radome could sort of fit behind his back in the open mode. Would that be akin to capt A carrying his shield on his back. I thk it would be quite cool if it could fit in between the wings somehow, pity i dont think we have much shots of that anywhere..

And we cant wait to see em! Must break out the wide for a group shot eh! Hmm will you be doing a whole group shot ie, the 31 platoon + the 262 platoons?? Cant imagine how to cram them in a shot... Consider the kit line-up a last warning to decide now if to go all in! The mirage release is the decision point for avoiding re-chasing the majority of the valks later on! Talk about adding fuel to the fire eh haha.... Ultimately tho its still abt the moolah, but bandai is sure making our wallets do the 100m sprint instead of a marathon this year.. Are you decided on the fast packs and if you will have all valks equipped? The 31 battroid is really good looking with fast packs on, so that's the other consideration down the slippery slope!
