set 50 years after tng, its dark and based around story arcs, It will start at the end of a massive war against some alien race, the Clancy fleet is escorting a diplomatic mission to end this war, the settlement is a mutual agreement where a buffer zone is set up, the fleet will be simply body guards to a diplomatic mission and no negotiation will be on screen. Minus a press release or two... After the diplomatic mission the fleet returns to earth and gets its fuel topped off and heads out into the unknown...

The people donning those costumes HAVE to know that they'll be talked about, right? I mean cosplay and internet pictures go hand in hand. It's one thing if you go to a private costume party, but if you go to a convention, good or bad, you're going to end up somewhere in the web.

A person has to perfect his/her pencil style though, before they can go on to another medium. That's why it's a challenge. The pencil part has to be perfect before it can be inked, painted or photoshopped. It's the foundation of the drawn medium. Even a CG has to start in pencil somehow. Maybe digital artist use wacoms, but their pencilling skills is still a need. Sometimes though, over doing it with the pencil can do a disservice to a project. Sometimes I over shade and I forget I'm going to color over it anyway. Depends on the project.

All in all, I got to agree with BoB, pencilling skills is the ultimate test...

Yeah, the VF-17D is suppose to be shorter than the VF-11. But in the pic they are almost the same size.

The F-14 was in there because the previous thread asked for a comparison against it IIRC. Besides, the VF-1 is forever going to be compared to the F-14. And the fact that it's in Zero merits it's entry along with the other VFs.

Cosplay threads have the tendency to degenerate sooner or later. Not only do the bad materials outweigh the good, but the enticement to ridicule is far too strong to avoid. Sure there will be constructive critism, but you'd have to swift thru the muck.

I'm for ONE cosplay thread, but either it gets policed closely or the mods have to be extra lenient on the trash talk, kinda like the RT debate thread.

One last thing, you're looking a one thread that is going to be pic intensive (bandwidthwise).
