the third movie, wich went back to horror, missed the opprotunity to go to the third genera and revolutionize it. that genera was:

I never really liked the idea of the "dog alien". A lot of "bug" lay eggs in other bugs but they never take anything genetically from their host. It would make their evolution too unstable.

The fact that the Aliens didn't have the transparent layer on their head was due to production costs and time being limited. A few from the crew also thought it look "cooler". I could recheck that fact on my Cinefex.

I prefer the transparent dome look myself, but can't stand the human upright stance from the first movie. There's a director's cut coming out, maybe Ridley Scott did some special edition type stuff. I read he also hated the same thing about his own interpretation.

I thought the Aliens swimming on the fourth was pretty cool, but thought The final alien hybrid was lacking in design.

Just like Drifand, I completely disclude the third movie from the rest.

actually it's the elbow roundness. The missiles on the arms. Couple of panel lines difference and the macross symbol on the side instead of the skull. Maybe the color will be different also.

Hey kaolian - just noticed something with your drawings - the shoulder armor seems to be missing the thruster at the back of it. Check out the lineart:

The shoulder armor seems to be almost identical to the shoulder armor of the GBP - this is my take on it.

Other than that, it looks real good!

Fulcy, you might well make GBP as a side project...

I don't really mind the INVISION POWER BOARD logo. But, in my humble opinion I think we should go with the CLASSIC. B)

I like the classic scheme but that logo has always been too phallic.

The Minmay figure will be in the upcoming 1/60 Ostrich release. The pilots in Solscuds custom are also from the 1/60 line.

Hey when did they put the shoulder pad and chest thingy with it? Last time it was just a helmet. Is there a backpack that goes along with it? Not that I'm gonna buy it or anything.

IIRC the helmet was estimade at $1000 US or so.

It was about $1300+, wasn't it? And if it did come with the shoulder pads the price would make more sense. Ditto on not getting it though.

Again, IIRC, Bandai never issued the GBP. So in a way they don't owe us this. It would be nice though if they did.

Okay, here's the deal. SOL was Abombz!! at the beginning. His roomate, A-tess, took over his account for awhile and was... well... A-tess mid-late last year.

Then, SOL took back his account for awhile, but shortly gave it back up to A-tess who has been Abombz!! since early this year.
