I'm not reall a huge fan of the Image guys... sure I bought the initial releases like Spawn, WildCATS and Cyberforce but their generic style just got lost on me after the whole "wow, look at the shiny pages" wore off. But Liefeld has always been a subpar artist. I always asked why my friends bought his book and they always answered because the stories were so good, but somehow I doubted that also... I'm still wondering what the allure is. Jim Lee was a great artist but he reduced himself to be just one of the guys after Image was created. His last pages for the XMen title was awesome, but Wildcats was just a bunch of pages with action poses and gritted teeth. And it's beyond me how anyone became a fan of the PITT title... the damn book came out once every year. How many issues are there of Pitt for the years they advertised it? The only books I looked forward to was Wetworks and Deathblow and those were practically vaporware by issue 2. The same goes for Joe Mad. I swear the guy was made for Image if he didn't come out too late. I would take Carlos Pacheco, Chris Bachalo and Brian Hitch over any of those guys. And here's hoping Adam Hughes and Travis Charest would get back on some kind of regular title too.

The Taka/Matchbox is good enough for what it was back then. And the TV series SDF-1 wasn't as detailed anyway... Overall it is an excellent toy. If toynami made one, you guys would be able to appreciate the original more.

I don't think this will ever come to light... to much issues when it comes to loose joints using resin. Its entirely possible to do it, but the work that'll go into making it is just not worth it... we would have to redo some parts to accept ball joints and plastic washers. Hopefully someone else does it...

wait for this model... looks like something kawamori would design... Before this there was another vacuum that kicked ass and was priced above a G. It was the Kirby vacuum. I only remember because a salesman came to our house when I was little and my mom let him vacuum the whole house thinking that she was gonna buy one. Then she kicked him out and we laughed at him from the window while he packed up all his gear...

While it's no damage, I'd say its a huge error. It's sad that Toynami refuses to give us toys that we could be happy with. Heaven forbid they would cater to us fans.

The decision to do Casino Royale came after the fact that Brosnan disagreed to be Bond again. Brosnan was against the idea of making James Bond: The Extreeeeme Version. Producers wanted to get someone like Britney Spears to be the Bond girl just for the name and the hype, and Brosnan wanted more of a serious tone and his idea of a Bond girl was Monica Bellucci. After one disagreement over another, Brosnan bowwed out. The new younger hipper James Bond became a result of that development.

IIRC, Clive Owen already said he wasn't interested in being Bond.

I'm ready for a new Bond. A new director and a new set of producers.

WTH? I never said, they needed to go old skool. I said LOTR was OK the way it was. And it was just more fun reading and watching behind the scenes stuff than it is now. Actually LOTR had the most fun "making of" stuff in a long while.

Ah, but Hollywood made huge epics long before LOTR. All PJ really did was throw in excessive amounts of CGI. And you'd think he could have found a live volcano to stand in for Mount Doom. Instead he just took the easy CGI shortcut. It's funny, but when you watch the Superman movie with director's commentary, they always mention how each shot was an amazing feat and now it's really nothing because all you do is call up the CG guys and they'll have it for you. I'm sure they're glad for budget and safety reasons they prefer it the way it is today, they miss all the ingenuity that the filmmakers had before. I've since stopped my subscription to Cinefex, because now it's pure CG explanations and less modelling marvels. I'm certain the CG people are laughing at how they think it's that easy, I just feel that it's less fun to read about the behind the scenes stuff unless you want to read about textures and AI behaviour. Also in the Superman commentary, they talked about how they destroyed part of the environment when they brought in some dirt from on place to another and the bugs from the dirt attacked the new location's vegetation...

Awesome, Gaijin... As much as it saddens me that they cancelled the series, which meant seeing a great SF series weekly, this looks like it's gonna rock... The visuals are ten times better than the show. Are they continuing from where the series left off or is it a new start?
