'Armor' is really pretty good. I normally read SST and then Armor right after it to make a kind of series. They're not EXACTLY the same, but they're pretty durn close. I highly recommend it.

How many pages did it wind up being? I'm thinking close to 400, but that seems too small. Did it ever hit the 1000 mark?

You know, it's interesting. For the past year or so, I have felt that MW has been losing a lot of its feel. But recently (and maybe it's just me), some of that old-tyme feeling seems to be returning. Sure, there's still an overabundace of useless "PC-ness", but MW seems to be becoming a little more cohesive. Now, if we could just get the "longest thread" back, all would be right with the world.

Reading through some of that stuff (on the Ooparts website), i have to say WOW. A lot of it is pure conjecture/speculation, but man, some of that stuff is COOL. Those Baalbek Monoliths are freakin' me out. I've actually seen some guys build that Cairo glider before, and yes, it flies like a dream.

This is a great thread. As a Christian, I just dig theories and such about the nephilim and other cool stuff out of the Bible. It's not hugely important, but it's really dang cool to speculate about! EDIT IN: I wouldn't worry too much about this thread. The tone is merely speculative, it's not really a religious thread, it's merely using religion as a jumping off point. Nearly all cultures have some form of these theories, so it's not really singling one particular belief system out. It's just good fun.

What's the name of the new body armor that looks plastic, but has larger shoulder pads that cover part of the sides of the arm? i've seen it a few times, but can never catch the name. There's supposed a helmet that goes with it, too (although the helmet just looks like a PASGAT to me).

As far as the knee pads go, he may actually have them. Apparently the new BDUs have slots in the knees and elbows for internal pads. Just FYI.
