  1. I'd take some photos but mine hasn't been shipped by HLJ yet ^w^;

    You're maybe the one MWorlder who's shipping situation I'd be interested in just because I know a good review will take place shortly after... ^_^

  2. Bummer about that head fin, Loop... the only issue I saw out of the box on my 29 was a very faint stress mark around one of the wing hinges. I'll be making sure to spend extra special attention to it whenever I transform her... lol

  3. That is very cool. Did you make those yourself?

    Thanks M.D... at first I was going to buy some acrylic risers and cut notches out in the front and back for the nosecones and jets, but after seeing how hard it'd be to cut the risers the way I needed them, I headed to a local plastics shop and bought some cut acrylic rod and panels (all at a fraction of the cost the risers would've been). Stoked on how they came out, and now I'll be able to fit the 6 Mac F valks I'm trying to get in my detolf. :)

  4. Since starting to collect the Mac F Renewals, space has become a major issue that I've been wrestling with. With the 25F, 25S, 29, and pending 171EX, 25G, and the hopefully eventual RVF, I was scratching my head on a solution. Introducing my solution... lol sorry if posting all these is lame (I'll edit this post if so), but I thought it'd be helpful for anyone else feeling the space crunch with all these new Mac valks coming out. :)

  5. Just an FYI for anyone interested... Ebay reply from my seller Happy_Formula regarding the situation for HK 171 preorders:

    "hi

    yea, this is true, most hongkong local toy store did not get this product, so they had to refund to customers, but I order this directly from Japan since I knew this issue, so I am waiting for it to come in next couple days

    regards"

  6. Oh.. well goody. Yeah, that was probably really dumb to order them together from NY. :lol:

    Might have to cancel that order, and just order the super parts. Now.. if I can just find how to modify an order..

    Can't cancel preorders with NY... your only option is to not pay when payment is due, and they'll cancel it along with anything else you have preordered through them (they'll refund you for anything paid for up front).

  7. Another sad day for me. I just got an email from dendenhobby.com that they won't be able to fulfull my order as they only 5% of their order. Still, not too sad as I've been buying Yamato stuff lately and this justs confirms my desire to leave the Frontier stuff out of my display until Yamato gets the license.

    Ouch... hope this isn't going to be the case with HK sellers in general.

  8. Man... as if getting the toys isn't hard enough, we also have to deal with crosstown beef between Bandai and Yamato? Can they make this franchise any more difficult to be a fan of? lol I'm actually pretty confident they'll come up with a solution though. I mean, they did manage to hook up the pt hands properly... slap some 1/100 VF-1 hi metal style holes on the wings and call it a day.

  9. I've been trying to tell folks to keep an open mind towards "smaller" sites like NY for preorders, so I'm glad for them as a business that they're proving themselves. I fully trust that they do their best to come through on all the preorders they take in despite having a longer window open that makes "principled" buyers nervous (j/k), and I'll be stoked when my 25G arrives later this year from them. :D

  10. So... took a look at one of the posted images, blew it up enough to read the kanji, and yes: the hands have to come off and you install a cover.

    Well, at least we know now (or, again, if someone else already did a translation). If you're not a stickler for anime accuracy though, it does look like there should be enough space to just leave the hands on in fighter mode.

  11. From this pic, it doesn't look like integrated hands would have anywhere to store in fighter mode... the forearm doesn't look like there's any sort of hatch built in for them (unless the fin assembly pops open to allow it, but the triangle shaped opening doesn't look like it'd allow for a cleanly rotating hinge that hands could pivot around on). Double hmmm....
