  1. well someone posted some pics at the convention a couple of weeks back and everyone was saying how it was smaller than they originally thought it would be... from what I recall, it was in the aircraft mode and it was no bigger than the 1/48's around it. Unless that was an out of scale prototype I think it's about that size... Anyhoo, I think it should be the same price range as the fastpack-LESS REGULAR VF-1's.
  2. Will that new middle figure fit in the qrau?? sorry I dunno the size of them...
  3. oh and regarding the monster.... I think yamato should just forget going smaller than the size of 1/48 VF 1's... The quality of their stuff at that size and up is platinum. The smalller they go, the more crappy their products become. The Monster is beautiful... given that it'll be about the the size of a 1/48, that's the price range I'll be willing to buy it for.
  4. fine then you pay $2000 bucks for one and yamato will give discounts to the rest of us. you must be a charm to sell to for car dealers~
  5. Pre-order it like everyone else!! Hobby Search or HLJ. Ask Neova too probably. You can also reserve a set from our good buddy Kevin at the Valkyrie-Exchange.com. Reserve how? he doesn't even have em up yet~.
  6. No, not Yamato. That's the old Studio Half Eye 1/100 scale YF-19 perfect-variable resin garage kit. Graham seriously, seeing that pic really makes me question why it was (and is) so hard for yamato to release a yf 19fp... they could have easily modified the current sculpt, (fix the legs a bit and make it leaner, etc) and slap some fast packs and you would have had many grateful fans buying it in no time. Instead, they leave people guessing on whether or not it's cancelled or not. What's SO difficult? they already had the fast pack versions of the 21 and 11B going (which were all old sculpts with FPs anyway) why not just complete the series and bring some closure to it? personally I've long since given up any expectations for it... but that picture kinda made my closet-ed feelings surface a bit.
  7. oops... oh shiet. I just glanced at the pic without really looking at the differences... I feel dumb. Edit: Kakizaki, it was incidious of you to not mention the changes in the first post! (although it was my dumbass mistake to merely glance and judge) anyway. I wonder when the YF 19 FP will come out....

    Got My YF-21!

if someone knew for sure, it'd already be posted here. Just forget about it like I have, then when it DOES come out (sometime this millenia), we'll all be semi-surprised and excited. Given the time yamato kept us waiting for it, they're better off redesigning all the mac plus valks. The 21 and the 11b all are worth resculpting.
  9. uhhhh..... don't tell me you've never seen this before.... out of box from yamato... not custom
  10. I would much like to see the YF-19 reworked as they've said they would a year + ago. I'm seriously losing faith on it every passing month. They are making other good stuf though. The kick-ass 1/100 koenig I think, gave some reason to undecided buyers to buy the 1/100 VF-0 as well, at least I think it does. I definitely want something to compare it with in it's own scale. And the Max Qrau. Wow... looks hella lot better than the milla one I got right now... I just hope some light will be shined upon the Macross plus line. And definitely as graham said... man, a bigger Macross Zero line would kick arse... But realistically I think it's a couple of years out there, since theyve just started on the smaller scale... as for the 1/48 line... I dunno... what else can they practically make in it except for milking the VF-1 line? I would love more variety... but knowing yamato, I wont anticipate on anything until they actually show pictures of it. I wasted too much energy for the yf-19.
  11. wouldn't hold my breath... making an already sculpted qrau a shade of blue is much easier than making a whole new sculpt anyhoo... wow the blue look really nice~ I'm gettin one! does anyone have a price conversion for US dollars on the blue version? thanks in advance.
  12. sniff* God, it's perfect. your best so far William.
  13. gosh. I have so much anticipation for this peice to finish. Awesome job Will
  14. I'm gettin 2! I put a couple of Gundams on my clear plastic generic ones and I'm waiting to put my two 1/48's on them things... oohh can't wait!
  15. yeah, I remember when they said that the VF-0 was ways off but we got pictures of that. It's really screwy but what can you say? It's yamato we're talkin about here. You know, personally, I almost just wish they'd fix up the current version (minor but necessary adjustments), slap on fast packs and just release the damn thing. Then, finally admit that they're working on something bigger for macross plus like they're probably are at the moment. Question Why is there so much secracy behind the damn thing? I can't imagine that they'd keep this mum, when it's just another 1/72. Like I said with my theory before, I think they started making the 1/72 19 FP, realized how it stood out in quality over the other FP versions, and decided that fans will eventually demand that the same treatment be given of the other Mac + valks and thus, it'd be better off to redesign the whole Mac + line (perhaps in 1/60), given they already started on the 19. Why else for the insane delay? - because the engineering of the 19 is too hard? Give me a break, they have an experienced sculptor of the Hasegawa Model, and their own experience with the scuplt and the 1/48's. - because they're caught up on 1/48's? Cmon. Yamato isn't exactly an in home garage company. and besides, the 1/48's are basically identical but with different paint jobs. It takes 8 months for a company like Samsung to develop a Cell phone from scratch. I doubt it would take yamato over a year if it was just another 19 FP.
  16. Actually, the 1st issue YF-19 is worth more than the improved second issues, in part because the production run was lower. not true. where did you get that? As long as it's in the box, they go for the same price. out of box, the second edition sells for more. I do now know if the run was cut short but some of the retail stores on the net have the first one for alot more. http://www.tisinc99.com/macplusyftra1.html http://www.tisinc99.com/macplusyftra2.html http://www.epopy.com/macross/macross_index.html Etailers are a bad place to gauge the value of a toy. the thing is though, the value of these things are really determined by demand at a point in time. Neither of the 1st or 2nd edition have sold particularly better. People pick these up if the price is right. Personally given the choices, I'd take 2nd edition hands down without second thought... I'd surmise many more feel the same way... second editions for yamato are just patched up toys.
  17. Gene is super rich. (or buried in debt.) Envious. Very nice work Kurt. Maybe just a tad too much of the "dirty warhorse" look for my tastes, but none the less, the work itself is flawless. awesome.

  19. seriously.... unless you are totally wacked out about collecting EVERY version of EVERY toy (and have the money), I'd say just stick with the 2nd editions. Personally I'd actually sell the 1st edition hikaru. It's not like any of the editions are limited or special. It's just the 2nd editions fix whatever problems that plagued the first batch of 1/48.... theyre not even considered "2nd editions" per say.... theyre just reissues. Same box, same everything but the updates. Get used to it... yamato does this a lot. They neglect some obvious flaws the first try then only to fix it up later.... EVERY scale in Yamato's macross line has mistakes in the first release with fixer uppers later on.... EDIT: typo
  20. Yep, this WONT be your last valk. The Max 1A was my first 1/60. I ended up buying the whole series, and I didn't even have a job then... Welcome to Valkaholics Anonymous!

    VFX2

Hey guys, I'm new in the Games dept so I hope you guys understand and can help me with the following questions. I just have 3 questions here that I think will be best answered all together so here goes: I have a US version PS2. 1) Will VFX2 work with my system? Is the game backward compatible with a US PS2? 2) How can I get my system modded if that's what I choose to do? 3) How much does it usually cost to get a mod? you guys can pm me if you don't want to post the info. Info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    yamato 1/60 G.P.B Armor

Aren't those hands TV typed? big and round, I wouldn't care if it came with an extra hand to be able to put the gun pod yeah, The last time I saw DYRL, they didnt have the GBP so it's TV hands. I'm hoping one reason for the delay are those huge ass hands... damn, reminds me of hellboy's right hand. I guess it could work if the GBP came with "kung fu action"
