  1. This actually reminds me of what George Lucas told the author of "The Making of Episode 3" book on the first day of shooting. Lucas told the author that the movies were actually being told by R2D2 to the "Keeper of the Whills" , 100 years after the events occur. In both cases, we may never know the true story. In the mean time, enjoy your space battles
  2. I actually had to explain to my younger brother that Robotech wasn't American Macross at all. So there are some people that really don't know the difference.
  3. I can't wait to get a VF-1A, I mean a W.A.S.P. ! Seriously, I'll bite, already reserved a name.
  4. Probably too much butthurtage, you should have seen it back in the day at tfw2005 when you could.
  5. Could someone translate? Babelfish gave a weird translation.
  6. Oh, ok- I should have clicked on the link. Also, to Tommy Yune, Kevin McKeever, Memo, and other mega superfans of Robotech that come here to see what us "Lying Macross Purists™" are talking about- Thanks for giving us laughs over the years .
  7. When are the Prime toys coming out anyways? Next month or December?
  8. I just read on there that Harmony Gold actually had the gall to try to trademark Macross in Japan, I mean really? Who at HG actually thought it would be a good idea, and that it would actually happen?
  9. Of course! Then again someone who lurks here that posts on RT.com would probably think that you're serious somehow...
  10. What if he really does suck? There are lots of straws in Japan, so maybe he prefers to use them on his drinks .
  11. Ok, first of all I want to make an apology for making a post in this thread less than 20 mins since my last but something just occurred to me. If Lucasfilm flaunted Luke Skywalker in front of the fanboys and really not doing much with it like how HG is doing with Rick Hunter, would Star Wars still be laughed at as much? *Aside from the special edition jokes*
  12. On the plus side, at least its something from HG to keep the 5 robotech fanboys at bay. It might even still have the fabled and great holy Rick Hunter in it.
  13. Wow, not bad. Sign me up for the final product when you're done
  14. So,, doesn't he kind of flat out say that his change to the Mospeada ending along with Shadow Chronicles itself is relegated to secondary continuity? Stop me if I'm wrong guys.
  15. Could someone kind of explain what the post with the link means? I don't quite understand it.
  16. I have a serious question. Why is Robotech even still around, even in its life support state? I mean, there really hasn't been any sort of product released since Shadow Chronicles, other than re releases of the same series that was released maybe 6 years ago at least. It really seems like this franchise has dried up and run its course, and all Tommy, Kevin, and others are just beating on its dead corpse. The "sidequel" might generate some interest, but if it's the same quality that Shadow Chronicles did, it probably won't do that much to bring in new fans. I mean come on, we haven't even had a major Robotech video game release since the last console generation.
  17. Of course! She's so sexy when she can squeeze a walnut with her butt cheeks while singing "We will Win!"
  18. But! But! Breetai in a speedo is so great!
  19. They're talking about having a Robotech Panel next year at the OMG! Con, an anime con that is here every year. I've only seen them on youtube, I figured it might be worth it if there's nothing else going on.
  20. Well, I've been levelling a druid in World of Warcraft. Why is he relevant? He heals and makes people Listen to his song!! So if anyone that plays on Hellscream US (horde side) , don't be shy and say hi . Does this count as Macross seen in strange places? We already have a Cpt. Glooval NPC quest giver.
  21. It's not out yet, but the preorders are around $150-200 if I'm not mistakened. I'm sure the American version will be missing the trailer, like how our MP 09 was.
  22. What do you mean? I've been boycotting HG stuff for years, though un intentionally until last year of course .
  23. If Hasbro had the liscense, Macross could be a Transformers sub line. There's a chance we could have seen "Human Alliance" type transforming mecha, with pilot figures. We could have seen mini "Heroes" figures, of either the pilots or the Valks, Destroids, Regults etc. There would be also a chance of Legends style mini transforming figures, complete with a SDF-1, Macross Quarter, or maybe Battle 7 transforming playsets, like how they are releasing now. Of course if the line was popular enough, we could see Deluxe, Voyager, or Leader class figures of our favorite mecha, if the quality was good it could have possibly rivaled anything Yamato or Bandai has released, for half the cost. If Bandai USA had the liscense, yep it would have been golden- the 1/55 chunky monkey style could have been sold in American stores for the first time since the 80's with Jetfire. Of course we would have seen the Mac Frontier releases, etc. We could have also seen smaller action figures of the pilots, a la Thundercats, derpy eyes and all. If Mattel had the liscense, We would see a good amount of transforming mecha, but the main problem would be 3-4 Hikaru to a case, with only 2 other characters, such as Max, Miryia, etc. Though it would be possible that they would sell some different ones on Mattycollector.com , have a "Club" for it, where you could get first access to the new and different ones. Does anyone else know of what different toy companies could do with the liscense, or anything you could add to what I posted above?
