to be honest i'm surprised its not been reissued. I'm SUPER glad i jumped on them as they were about to become hard to find. i think i bought the pair from toy-wave back a couple months after they were first released? yeah the 1/48s were shelf warmers so i guess thats why the limited run, but given the demand now i'm sure they could make a nother small run and sell them all out.

wow those are pretty cool. where/who did you get them from? most of my valks are fine but a couple of the older DYRL ones have floppy shoulders and could benefit from those pieces that "lock" them into place.

oh yeah, just got my shipment payment request from tokyo hunter for the alto super pack. i'm torn though on the super armor, i have ozma's coming on the way since its i my mind iconic for the series but didn't go in on alto's. alto rarely i shown with teh full armor so in my mind its not "necessary" BUT and its a big BUT....he does do the salute when he is in the armor though. wonder if tis even still up for preorder anywhere.....must check now...haha

damn had not been paying attention to the VF-1 rereleases....no way i'm going to be able to track down a vf-1d + option parts now huh? i have a vf-1d, but would love to be able to display one in gerwalk mode too (arguably the most iconic moment fothe vf-1d was in this mode)....just checked amiami/hlj/anime export/toy-wave and they are all sold out on this preorder or don't list it. gah!!!

hmmm, when are those web special fast packs and armors due again? i think i preordered/prepaid through tokyo hunter so long ago i forgot. was it april and june respectively?

thanks guys, thats what i thought but just wanted to confirm. hate having money spent with nothing for months (like whats going on with my vf-171 orders). just preordered with amiami as i remember they are fast with the shipping.

been a while since i ordered anything from the regula vendors (amiami hlj etc). out of the available preorders, do any of them let you pay upon shipment or are they all pay up front (amiami, hlj)? i know bbts is pay on shipment but they are at $165 or so.

wow got to say i like the color scheme on this. hopefully amiami or hlj puts it on preorder.

here is a thought. maybe these scalpers ARE the very e-tailers we deal with or people they've contracted out to sell their stock. i would NOT AT ALL be surprised. why sell out retail when you can scalp?

wow...WTF. i thought a twice daily check would be enough. i havea feeling there is a whole network of people contracted to buy these things the minute the go up and put them on ebay. this sold out WAY quicker than the vf-25's or the YF-29. ridiculous. no other options for US buyers huh? i'm steamed

gosh this thing looks beautiful. i can't preorder soon enough. and yes i'm checking back on this thread everyday in case someone posts a preorder from amiami or hlj. i really hope they release the armor packs soon afterwards as there isnn't enough grey on this thing for me (its almost always seen with the armor and weapons). also REALLY hope they release the CF blue/teal scheme as i think it looks better that way. the VF-171 is a beautiful design (i heavily prefer it to the vf-17 but to each his own!).

booyah!!!! although i want the blue/green mass production ty0pe more, but this thing looks GREAT. Also, i think it needs its extra weapons as usually Alto's was seen with them, that makes it a nightmare ex PLUs or soemthing like that right? haha. i've seriously been waiting for this since the VF-27 came out what was it almost 2 years ago now? I thought it had to b next. As is i'm glad there was a hiatus and a redone vf-25 (i hope they get aroudn to releaseing michael's!!). so happy right now! now i just got to remember to check back here on this thread everyday to see when it goes up on preorder at amiami or hlj. haha

man i like this thing alot. looks much better than the V1 and i actually LIKE the coloring vs. the V1 also. man, and i've been thnking this since V1.....someone REALLY needs to remold the arm of the stand in a CLEAR plastic and release it. the battroid and especially gerwalk would look much better without a black stick up its butt. I'd use the flightpose stands but i don't thint it'll be enouogh once you add the armor on this guy.

i hope you are right. and i hope it happens both sooner (bandai get on this!!!) and later (yamato releases an even better more accurate version 5 years or so down the line). i don't know why i like the 171 and color schemes so much. i just do.

honestly no been my experience. no one is faster than amiami though.

wow, was never a huge fan of the vf-17 until i saw this thread and teh collectiondx pics. $291+shipping from japan may be a bit much for something i haven't wanted for YEARS (i'm not a mac 7 fan). decisions decisions. this thing does look awsome though. curse the yen thats been on steroids though.

your issue sounds like a bad casting of the metal, not some sort of rot issue. when doing a diecast part proper pressure and time are required or else you may have voids or molds not filling as they should leading to bad/weak parts. lots of low cost vendors will skimp on the time. not sure what kind of quality the vendor that supplies these parts to bandai typically has. hopefully this is not a widespread problem. i have go go and see what part wasn' unlocked during transformation when i get home but i doubt that not doing that could have imparted undue amounts of stress (i could be wrong). i think you just unluckly got a "bad one", though if there is 1, there are bound to be more. oops this was directed at optionzero not vf5s.

i disagree. i think you have to just handle with care and i think 95% of the time or so you'll be fine, granted there is of course degradation over time/usage but that is to be expected. look at how the joints and other assemblies work and handle and transform with that in mind (grantedt his won't help on breakage during first transformation as some joints are hidden in one form but afterwards you can examine) when you handle so as to impart the leas amount of stress possible to any likely areas of higher stress. the only case i can think of on any of the valks i OWN where things get worse over time without handling are the tightness/looseness of the ball joints in the bandai V1 DX toys (not including the monster which is STILL rock solid after a decent amount of handling). FWIW 3 of my 12 or so yamato v2 vf-1's are the " shoulder may explode types" but 2.5 years later they are still good fine (knock on wood!!), and i even have a vf-0s from the 2008 or so timeframe (not sure if this is a dreaded release or a re-release).

So getting the new armored ozma. looks a ton better in battroid than the V1. Just waiting for it to go up on tokyohunter or similar i guess. btw anyone experienced with them here? I preordered the alto super pack from them, but for some reason it doesn't show shipping price yet? Is that normal?

here is a dumb question, is the light artillery weapons pack removable?

Stealh 1J just like teh 1/48 version with stirke parts....heck yes! bring it! low vis 1A, i'd probably get too. if they did a 1J low vis in the style of the 1S V2, with Red striping instead of yellow (on the 1S) and a better dark grey or black...i'd be all over that too. i love the darkish VF-1J with red strip in the old school (arii?) model kit box art and would get that in a heartbeat too. I see no downsides to the newer V2's and as far as I'm concernd its the best VF-1 to date so these would "complete" the line for me. oh and give them all TV hands too. :-P
