    Just watched Battle of Los Angeles. The first 10 minutes or so were ok, but then it all went downhil. Bad acting, bad dialogue, sloppy sentimentalism and to top it all off, crappy mechanical designs. The alien ship looks like something made out of assorted junk. I mean, if you're making a blockbuster with 70 million bucks you can at least have some good designs.

    Well 2012 is when the mayans said the world would end and be reborn, so I guess a finale to the Rebuild of Evangelion in 2012 would be somewhat pertinent

    Absolute classic. It's hard to believe that"In the Court of the Crimson King" is more than 40 years old.

    I'm thinking that it might also have something to do with the english language releases being expected to fetch a bigger license fee than other markets, and thus the negotiations take longer? I say this because it seems that also the Evangelion manga get released earlier in other markets.

    The British blu ray version was supposed to come out on the 28th as well, but then the release got unexplicably pushed back to the 30th of may. Since I've had the Hong Kong and the Spanish release for a while now it's not a biggy. But I do wonder why the english speaking markets are so slow in releasing all things Evangelion.

    Finished Stardust Memory. Great stuff! They really should have hired Kawamori to do more mechanical designs for other Gundam. The mobile suits and their gear are just awesome. Seeing the Titan uniforms left me wanting more, so I'll watch the Zeta trilogy now. Have been told that even though it changes the story a bit, it still pretty sweet.

    Have to watch waaaay more Gundam before I can comment on what you guys are writing on UC vs. other Gundam series. So far I gotta say that I'm loving Stardust Memory. Nice story with low levels of teenage angst. And the animation and art is top notch. I'm particularly enjoying how all the mechanical designs look so well put together.

    Thanks for taking the time to translate this and posting it. For those of us that cannot understand more than very basic japanese, it's a great to be able to read background stuff like this. I love Itano, man. He's so full of energy! And he's just participated in so much stuff that I like.

    That reminded me more of Fist of the North Star than any Gundam series. All right, if 3 of you guys can agree on this my curiousity is officialy piqued and I'll check out G as well.

    Over the last year I've slowly been watching the UC Gundam series in some kind of an order and so far I'm very happy. Currently watching Stardust Memory and then only will be missing F91 and Victory (well and Unicorn but I'll watch that when it's complete). Having said that, reading all the posts of all you who have a in depth knowledge of all things Gundam, I think I don't really feel like watching non-UC stuff. It seems that most of it is according to most, either inferior to the UC stuff or just plain marketed to another demographic. I think that besides Turn a Gundam I've really not heard overall positive reviews of an non-UC series.

    9.0? That's almost unbelievable. I have to say that all things considered, I'm in awe of the japanese building code and the quality of the infrastructure. As far as I can gather from most news reports and what some of you guys have written, the massive damage stems mostly from the tsunami, not the quake itself. It's amazing that most of the buildings and roads survived a 9.0 relatively intact.

    Finished Hataraki Man and am now gonna continue with the UC and gonna watch Gundam 0083 Stardust Memody for the first time

    That's so true and I hadn't really thought about it. 10 novels in and we still don't know his name. Maybe we'll get a surprise of "Star Warsian' proportions"?

    My brother who is currently working in an advertising agency with links to the film industry tells me that most studios and production companies are obsessed with the "teen demographic". So much so that any movies that from the get go are "adult only" are viewed with profound scepticism.

    Thanks for the tip. You are absolutely right. I changed my email for notification purposes to a yahoo account and it works perfectly. Any ideas as to why hotmail would be blocking macrossworld emails?

    The images are absolutely horrifying. Just heard in the news that this earthquake was 8000 times more powerful than the one that hit Christchurch in New Zealand. That's quite simply mindboggling. My thoughts go out to the victims an their families Glad to read that the MW Forum fans are o.k though.

    I seem to be having a similar problem with my email notifications. I even switched from delayed email notification to inmediate and am still not getting emails from the system.

    Finished Gundam War in the Pocket. Loved it. First I was worried about having a kid as the main character, but it actually works really well. As a matter of fact, my personal opinion is that the antiwar message of Gundam is more effectively portrayed in this OVA than in some of the other series.

    I'm in the same boat as you...This year is just gonna be endless!! But i just don't want to ruin that first time watching without having a clue sensation.

    Finished watching Mobile Suit Gundam: The 8th MS Team. Liked it; Good direction and it was cool seeing mobile suits being used as infantry and I thought Shiro was a welcome change from the traditional Gundam protagonist. On the whole it felt a bit different to what I've been seeing so far in the Gundam franchise. It was a bit strange Never thought I'd see that in a Gundam series.
