  1. Wow that looks amazing!

How much of it is inner frame. The Zeta 2.0 has the legs a bit of the body but this thing looks like it may have a complete inner frame.

    And it looks huge too!~

Seems Dalong finished his OH Boy It has a full inner frame! Bought it just now on ebay!

  2. Until Yamato is even able to obtain the license, I think it's pointless to hope for them to get it. It's been said that Bandai has the exclusive license and will have it for a long while. By the time it expires, will Yamato even want it? Even by then, who is to say Bandai will not have released a DX 2.0 or renewal?

They've used the same designers from time to time at different times. FLEX who worked on the DX VF-27 is the same guy who worked on the 1/48 and did some work on the V1 1/60 VF-1 with Billy Wong. Yet FLEX, IIRC, prior to that work, was a MG Gundam designer. Note that Bandai's Hobby Division works on those and the DX VF-25 was by Tamashii, their Collector's Division.

Since FLEX is from the Hobby Division, I think Bandai should just get someone from their Hobby Division(if not FLEX), to design a new VF-25 toy. If Yamato were to get the VF-25 license, would it be FLEX, SOLID, or T-Rex doing the designs? Who knows. Yet it's not going to happen anytime soon, if at all, so our best bet is hoping Bandai hires one of those guys/teams to re-design the DX VF-25 or start from scratch, incorporating all the improvements of the DX VF-27.

Awesome. That was very informative on the divisions and their respective robot designs.

  3. quicky update on MG ReZEL:

really loving the build so far. Ended up working all night non-stop and got the entire body done, Now I just need to finish the backpack and weapons (lucky for all my classes are canceled today ^_^ ).

just handling it so far it's quite impressive. It's very nicely articulated although it can be a little bit fiddly, and a few pieces like to pop off here and there but overall very nice.

I'm actually surprised just how big this guy is. It's actually almost as tall and just as beefy as my GFFMC Unicorn gundam in destroy mode, and that's without the ReZEL's backpack or weapons.

    Pics/Review please

    Credit Card on Standby

  4. MG ReZEL arrived today!

Had a chance to take it out of box and go over the parts, I'll get to building tonight and will have more pictures+review tomorrow night (I hope  ).

box is a standard large box, thin box (same size as the force impulse gundam).

lots of plates. mold quality, color separation, part count etc. are all what you'd expect form a 2010 master grade. I especially like how many clear lens parts it has, and that they're all molded in a very bright pink color. I was a little worried at first that it came with such a large sheet of polycaps, but the instructions have all but a dozen crossed out so I don't think it will be too polycap heavy.

    IMG_0853.jpg

4 ABS plates (mostly the legs and torso.) I don't think it's A complete, freestanding ABS inner fra

    me but it's pretty good.

the sticker/decal sheet. the metallic stickers for the lenses appear completely unnecessary as the lenses are tinted plastic. I was kind of disappointed that it has such a small sheet of rub transfers and only a generic sticker sheet. I personally like the Katoki bumper-sticker look, and I was disappointed that bandai didn't give you the stickers necessary to do a marking scheme like the GFFN release. also it doesn't look like bandai will be doing a water-slide decal release for this any time soon, so I went ahead and ordered a set from Samuel decals.

I really like the manual for this one. It's standard master grade on the inside, but rather than the ugly textures on the front and single product shot on the back, you get a clean version of the box art on front and front/back shots of the MS and wave rider modes on the back.

first impressions are good and I can't wait to get building. I don't have a Zeta 2.0 to compare this one to so I can't say how similar it is but I'll be sure to take lots of pictures. (I can't wait to check out the transformation.

    looks good so far

  5. My MG Rezel shipped from amiami yesterday, and now it's in SF customs. hopefully it will be here Monday or Tuesday. ^_^ I've also got an MG Deathscythe EW coming from hobbyWave so I've got plenty of stuff to build, unfortunately fall finally decided to catch up with the bay area and now we've got nothing but cold and rain :(

Please provide a review and pics im on the fence on this one. It seems has the basic structure as the V2 Zeta which is good but not that fond of.

    Thanks!

  6. well i guess the best excuse would be

"what! at least im not wearing your underwear and choking my self while masturbating to naked pictures of women"

  7. 1/48 MS-06S Char Zaku II!

Okay now I have more incentive to pick up the 1/48 Gundam. Saw the Gundam in person this past summer, looked pretty cool, and I heard it is pretty rugged. Hope we get a green Zaku too.

meh the 1/48s .... probably cant better out of legos but the real grade is where the money is at

Here is my latest build. Being between jobs is allowing me to decal, panel line and flat coat my gundams. THE MR, Flat coat really is bad for the lungs bah!

So far no complain from HK - joints are tight, nothing mispainted or falling off etc.

Yeah the feet don't lift as high as the line art

But the toe joints are there

So may be you can lift it higher with the stand and pretend it can stand on the toes. :p

    Edit:

This post was updated with Bandai v.s. Yamato pics

    http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-136964-1-1.html

Yammie's looks better with the longer thicker cannons, but the Bandai wins for overall looks. I love the base Im going to drop the coin on it tomorrow

Nice and a must get only after the reviews come out. After my experience with PG Gundam 0 Raiser im not jumping the gun with this purchase

  10. If the price is really 400-500 PASS. This is a large piece of plastic that barely does anything. At least make it smaller in scale and SOC it!

I still prefer the Revoltech one. Now if it was the commanders battle pod I would think about but at 400 couldn't you guys buy better macross stuff
