Be it ever so humble, there's nothing like Victory Gundam.

Pete
From one Peter to another. Whats your take on the MG V. Is it sturdy. Some the reviews I have seen on youtube seems its floopy and has a poor build quality.

It's not a big deal. And she doesn't care. In fact, she keeps telling me it's better than being a football widow.
That was just the first time she's seen me in the act. We both laughed about it.
If you have a Valk, you NEED to fly that bird around! Unless you trip in the process. Then, we'll see how aerodynamic Yamato makes their toys.
I tend to only display my collectibles. I fear swooshing my valks since they are after all yammies that they would disintegrate if touched however after launching my valk against a wall last year they do seem to be hearty enough on a head on collision at high velocities

Wow
I hope it delivers
BTW what opening song is that !!!! I want that SAMPLE@!

Question about the MG V- Dash
What is the difference between
this
MG 1/100 Model Kits V Core Booster Ver Ka
and
MG 1/100 Model - V Dash Gundam Ver. Ka
It seems it comes with the core booster?? But pics show it as all gray while the core booster on its own shows it as molded in color???
Can someone tell me whats up with these kits??
Thanks

Not particularly; I just put Freud's books there because Ideon is, after all, based in large part on Freud's theory of the ID :-)
What sold me was the anime. I'm finding as I get older, I'm becoming more particular and only getting figures and models from anime that I really really liked. Ideon was one that I really really liked (at least Ideon: Be Invoked - 'cause I haven't seen the actual series).

To your point about collection habbits changing due to age, I am finding I like these wacky looking robots more rather the new updated looks of transformers. Something about the designs which are minimal in archetechtual beauty and more in practicality. Also it helps that Bandai pays so much attention to detail/paint and materials in the SOC series of mecha collectables. I cant wait for my new GX-50 and Gx-46 to arrive
-
Finally, after three years I managed to afford to get the one Soul of Chogokin figure, besides the SOC Spec EVAs (all of which I have) that I REALLY wanted (as opposed to all the ones I ended up getting for my store which I never had any interest in)... Namely - the one, the only...Ideon!

A fan of Freud are we

It's all plastic. It's basically a slightly-larger and more expensive Robot Damashii with worse QC. Frankly, I hate mine. It spent about 10 minutes out of the box before going right back in. The paint quality is questionable, bits fall off, joint tightness is all over the place, there's nasty sprue cut scars all over the guns, and the hands are on soft rubber ball joints that make me nervous pulling them on and off.
Great! Thanks
I will ask the Ebay seller if I can cancel the transaction
Thanks a lot for the review. Too Bad since the Gurran Laggan looks awesome too. Are you going to sell yours? Maybe I can have one at a reduced price?

I just ordered the Albion Composite Version Ka.
Not sure if this thing is metal. I saw only one review on youtube which looked pretty good. I really like this mech. I dont think I will ever see this in the SOC line or any of the other SOC sub lines!
I did get the GX-50. Was really impressed with the updates. I did get suckered tho, cause I saw the base it came with and thats why I bought it. I found out later through a friend that it has a coupon for the base Mother%&$!er! (clinches fist) I also order the GX-46 Dygenguar & Aussenseiter set. This was too good to pass up! Saw the review on CDX. Also in Dengeki magazine this month (scans to come -figuring out my new MFP) but the Dragonars 02 and 03 are coming in the Spec line. WHOOHOO. Not a fan of the saucer head but the blue one with the canons will go nicely with the existing to SOC Spec Drangonar mechs!!!!!

ehh, suppose we should be greatful they (so far) haven't tapped into Fuzors....that adds LOADS new HMM Zero kits....

I will get all the armor packs for the Liger Zero. One thing about HMM Zoids is that although they are very detailed they are very fragile.
Here is list of zoids I want HMM'd
Shadow Fox
Berserker Fury
Gunbluster
Koenig Wolf
Mad Thunder
Gairyuki
Rayese Tiger
Death Saurer
Elephander
Dark Spinner

I just finished building the White Glint with Booster movie version.
What a wonderfull Kit. The Stand is really nice. It has that Bandai HD paint job and the only from what I have that has decals. Now to find the gray panel line marker.
I also finished the Rayleonard Kapachar version. Nice kit but you need a lot of glue.
Normally it now takes me between 3 to 4 hours to build a MG Bandai Gundam kit these take much longer.
Pieces that really should be separate parts are and are so small you need a good pair of reverse pressure tweezers and a lot of patience for example the White Glint took me 4 days. Not total time but about 3 hours a day because after building the core or other parts your pretty exhausted. The Kapachar kit took longer cause I found out that pieces needed to be glued in order to stay together.
Overall these are beautiful Mechs. I would place these as a close second to the FSS mecha in terms of esthetics.
I just recieved the
Unsung
Crest Delta, Dual face and mirage version
Still waiting for my Nineball and after the second time I guess I need to escalate to a claim on cmb-tradeltd since i have never gotten this after a month. Its getting harder and harder to trust ebay sellers.
Hopefully I get the crest facinator i ordered soon.
Pics to come.
Sigh these are exhausting to build paint and detail

Im Still not finished with my Telus unit and Im turning it into a version ka

Liger Jager is really hard to find at a decent price

It takes a man to admit he was wrong.
Well I admit it. I was wrong about the GFFMC Unicorn. I just got it last night and wow. People that complain about the lack of paint apps must be on crack. This thing has a little bit of the HD paint scheme with more glitter. The closet thing I can compare it too is my recently built Kotobukiya AC White Glint + Overboost Movie version unit. Simply beautiful. I can understand why the pricing is exaggerated. I paid just under 180 for it. I didnt even know that it was discontinued. It still has the same loose feeling of some of the panels as does the MG but Its A LOT more sturdier. The bones you get a nice peg Stand and the twin beam gattling gun. I will take pictures of it. I have in regular mode whatever that is called but it looks like its ready to destroy so calling the other mode destroy mode is moot. The metal Joints and other pieces make it more hearty. Will go next to my MG HD + Cage version.
Simply outstanding.
here is the pic of it

BTW anyone get the composite Ka knightmare?? Just wondering if its worth it

I already own the original SOP Yamato so I have no intention of indulging Bandai in this "double dipping" venture, even if it is re-worked as an altered mold or even new tooling... the one I have is awesome enough. The one thing that makes me interested in this bit of news is that the renewed interest by Bandai in this line perhaps opens up the door on the remote, however unlikely, possibility of a future in-scale EDF Andromeda; I would place a pre-order, without hesitation or reservation, for one of those in an instant.

Question: Anyone know if there's a possibility of getting replacement parts for a PG 00-Raiser?
The yellow head-horns on mine snapped off, and I sincerely doubt I'm good enough with super-glue to make a fix without making the model look like utter crap.
HLJ sells replacement parts

Saw my first bootleg Astroplan toy recently. It was some type of grey VF-1 toy, about 6-8 inches tall, in a blister pack with Astro Plan pictures on the packing.
Should have taken a photo.

You should ask Yamato to see if they can get the license for these mecha

Just curious about MW members collecting habits.
What do you collect and why?
Will you stop collecting at some point and why?
Have your interests in collecting one line over another waned? For me I have a lot of transformers but the recent designs have left me delused with the Brand and Started getting into MG/AC kits and SOC.
Whats the maximum you will spend on one toy?
Whats the maximum you will spend in a year?
Whats your spouse, partner think about your collection?
How do you like to display your collection?
Do you get more excited about finding your white elephant and then get meloncholy once in your possession?
Just wondering

A brand new SOP Yamato is in the works.
It's the same scale as the previous one (1/625) with a redone mold (sans gimiks and electronics). Also included is the drill missile from Episode 22 of the original series.
Wow Nice
Im not really into Space Ships but that is something I can see owning and having on my desk at work.
How much will that retail for?
On an other issue. I just won the Max Factory Mazinkeizer first version for 100bucks. In excellent condition. I like the look of it. But the second verion is so expensive for something the same size as a Bandai SOC. Also got the SOC Phone Braver from Bandai on sale from HLJ. Its another one of those Items i could see on my desk. Oh also got the SOC Dark Raideen on sale from HLJ. This is a special mecha for me as I had one as a kid that was as tall as me. All plastic and mobility sucked where you could only raise the arms to fire finger missles and a fist missle.

This is the best site to catch up on episodes i missed. Heck I cant afford cable so it was the only place where I could catch TV at all. Because of it I bought the DVD set for House.
Good luck to Phara

saw this movie in the theater last night. I was thoroughly impressed. Intelligent, had just the right amount of action sequences. For me the best movie of 010 so far. It was matrix with brains!
